Welp. Since it's confirmed to be multiplayer-only, no there will NOT be mods. f*#@ that, I'm done. It was a good ride, Nexus, but Bethesda just killed the entire series for me with this.

In response to post #55826861. #55826971, #55827211, #55963086 are all replies on the same post. How did you NOT glean that? Even if it's only links, that's still s*** going into your data folder and staying there. And I have heard NOTHING about MO's save/mod profile system being carried over in any way, shape, or form.

In response to post #55826861. #55826971 is also a reply to the same post. I did read. That was what I gleaned from it.

Without MO's style of virtualization I don't see how useful this new manager would be compared to the previous NMM. MO's style of virtualization was what set it apart from and made it superior to every other manager out there. The way Vortex is being described, I won't be able to use different mod loadouts for different character profiles the way I could with MO, or pretty much any of MO's other functions. It sounds like all it is, is a new NMM that's supposed to be virtual but really isn't considering the mods are still getting installed in the data folder.

Unless Vortex has all the bells and whistles of Mod Organizer, I doubt I'd be terribly interested. I can't play Skyrim or Fallout and have different characters with different mod loadouts without that manager.

[WIPz] Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64)

SKSE64 being in alpha's the best news I've heard all year, but for the sake of sanity I'm not going to get it until it's in an actual release state, whenever that is. -
As long as it has the virtual folders and profile system from Mod Organizer, I'm all for this!

[WIPz] Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64)

No. It's not. F4SE is being updated by largely the same team members plus an extra. Maybe when they get a full release of F4SE down (I'm talking about a fully supported release), they'll start working on F4SE. You have to be patient. Script extenders don't happen overnight, especially when the team members work full-time jobs. Doing all of this just in their spare time is quite a feat indeed. Can you provide a reliable source for this information? I know F4SE is being developed but I could have sworn someone said it was being worked on by people who weren't also working on SKSE64. I'm plenty patient, I just don't want to get my hopes up and be let down. -

Well, since SKSE64 is dead and buried, it looks like I'll have to stick with the infinitely-more-unstable Oldrim. I just wish the team would be honest and update their Silverlock page to reflect this information since it's still (apparently falsely) stating that they're working on it. Someone should probably contact TESRenewal and let them know to cancel their Special Edition plans, as well. -

So... SKSE64 *is* dead until further notice. Good to know, and thank you for clarifying what goes into development. It certainly provides a lot of useful insight. :) -

No, I don't think so instead they need to pay attention what happen in their RL. Why do you think they have forgotten their most appreciated and well spread Script Extender? They've forgotten about it BECAUSE they need to pay attention to what happens in their RL. This! And between a possible (probable, IMO) NDA and the likelihood that whatever schedule they had collided with RL, I'm NOT surprised that it's not ready yet. Nor do I think it's "dead". You have far too much faith in people. They're not going to tell us the project is dead themselves because the backlash if they did would be catastrophic. And yeah they DID tell us they hit a wall -- in the April 1 update, the one where they admit they haven't actually done anything with this project for months. We'd be wise to consider the project "dead" until they actually come out and tell us otherwise. -

Unlikely, as bla08 posted on May 11/17 that the last time behippo was on the forum was February 8, 2017. More likely that he has lost interest. At this point I'd wager that it's 100% guaranteed. Personally I'd advise the Silverlock team to give SKSE64 to someone who's actually active but I doubt they'd pay any attention to a guy named "Filthy Casual." So, as far as I'm concerned it's most likely dead until proven otherwise. -

I'm not complaining. I'm simply pointing out that lack of updates usually means nothing is getting done, period. And since this is an unpaid project some guys are doing in their free time, it's far more likely to be the case here than it would be if they were actually getting paid for it. Y'all can get your hopes up if you want. I know better than to do that cos every time I have, I've been let down. ÃÂ It's been more than a month. Don't you think it reasonable we'd have heard SOMETHING by now if they were still working on it? Or do you really think staying quiet for extended periods is somehow a reassurance? I don't know, but then again, neither do you  Wrong. Historically, when it comes to massive fan projects like this, lack of updates has ALWAYS meant that work on it has stopped due to personal lives getting in the way. To assume that's not the case this time, especially when the last update basically TOLD US that life got in the way and that work had not been done for months, is really rather naive. At this point it's safer to assume SKSE64 is dead than it is to assume work is going to resume on it at any point in the foreseeable future. -

Given the lack of updates on it since April, I think it's safe to say SKSE64 is completely dead. So, "It will be out when it will be out" just seems a little... wrong to me given all indications are it won't be out at all.
