  1. The NPC movement and offerings of the Fo4 world is dull, routine, patterned. Ever walk into a settlement with a few npc's sitting on some furniture? They are all sitting exactly the same way. Perfect distance between each other, no one is slouching or slumping, or taking a nap curled around a pillow. The "life" is about as lifeless as it gets, nothing more than automatronic mannequins doing exactly the same thing, at exactly the same time, in every settlement you enter. Variety is the spice of life, and we already have several mods introducing variety into the way settlers, followers and NPCs look. What we need is some variety in what they do, specifically: sitting down, standing, idle animations, as well as farming, gathering materials and working at a workbench. We need wall-leaning animations, stretching, yawning, and then have them resolve to something other than the same old standing idle, look side to side, walk away. Maybe different walking styles as well. Animations where 2 or more are gathered around and chatting, sharing a moment, instead of walking around and staring off into space. Is there anyone working on something like this? If the settlers had the ability to surprise you with something new, even if it's just something as simple as turning over to sleep on their other side, that would create a little more life in the rigidly unlife-like pattern of the current gameplay.
  2. I'm wondering if it's even possible, but sure would be nice to have a little timer interface for side quests when they pop up. I keep missing the pop-ups because I'm in builder mode, and invariably fail since I never knew Alternative, if a timer isn't possible, just a blinking light somewhere on the map and an indicator on the hud would work. Just something persistent to indicate there's trouble out there, if you happen to miss the initial notice.
