  1. I couldn't find a section that seemed right for this.

You know that minor bug that has plagued Skyrim since it first released, where if you sit at a table, some objects will just bounce around or move all by themselves, and you didn't touch them? Well, a while back I found a mod on the Nexus that fixed that, by forcing the objects to sit still where they were at, and only would move if you tried to move them. I don't know how it works, but it's brilliant, and I wanted it again, but I can no longer find it. I don't remember what it's called.

So I'm asking you guys, the community - if you know of this mod, and where it's at.

I couldn't find a section in the forums for mod searches. Plus, I never use the website search box unless I'm certain it'll do the job because most of the time it doesn't find exactly what I search for, even if I know exactly what the name is, I usually use Google or DuckDuckGo.

  2. Don't know what happened but the entire website was not accessible for a little bit. But glad it's all sorted out now.

Before that happened though I had downloaded around 20 mods, no problems, no hiccups at all.

Just wanted to let you know. The CDN obviously works well for me. In fact, I think I've stated before that the downloads are faster now, than they have ever been. Those around 20 or so mods that I downloaded, were so quick it gave me time to get up, walk to the kitchen, and pour a glass of milk and walk back. Which before I would not have been able to do, around 20 mods would have taken around 25-30 and sometimes 45 minutes because before it'd either fail or hangups for some odd reason. It no longer does any of that, and things are perfect with the downloads.

I don't know if being a paid user of the site makes any 'major' differences or not, as I just don't understand numbers - but I'm happy with it, nothing to complain about. Thanks.

  3. I am from USA and have not even one problem. Everything downloads ridiculously fast. In fact, this beats the speed of downloading on a big download site that probably has tons more money than you guys do which is an amazing feat in itself.

I don't know how or why, but I don't need to know. The CDN switch over was definitely a plus move for me, considering I can download so much faster and somehow the downloading can be done by the multiples. I mean, I can have around 20-40 downloads going at the same time, no stops, no problems - they all download fast too. That's a lot for me, because before I couldn't do any of that.

Things are really moving along for this site and I'm glad I can see it change in positive ways. Can I give my opinion about the design of the site though? It's not a major thing of course, but some things just don't look very good in my opinion. For example; the "NEw NexusMods is unlocked - We now support files for all PC games" banner on the right - it's a bit blurry. I am really into design and I notice even fine details of a design, so maybe that's why it bugs me a bit. Nothing major though.

  4. I report I've had no problems with the latest update at all. I did double check the install directory, and it chose the correct one by default. However, I have never tried the feature of being able to move the UI around any way I want. I'll have to try that out.

    Thanks.

  5. The simplest way to make this go away is to use the Reorder Masters feature of TES5Edit.

Somehow, the author of the sperg mod had sperg.esm loaded before update.esm when he / she saved the esp.

Then didn't fix it before releasing it.

I have tried just that... and it doesn't do anything. But I tried it on another mod that had a similar problem in Wrye Bash, and it worked on that. Not sure what's up with that.

  6. Sometimes imagespaces that are edited by mods like ELFX and using lighting mods that have anything at all to do with light sources, either adding, removing or tweaking them in anyway - can cause this because of incompatibilities and a lot of times mod authors miss the incompatibilities and the problems eventually spread and more and more people start to experience it, and other times depending on the mods - they don't. Skyrim is a tricky game because of the engine they use, and the fact that they rushed it to get it released on time because they were pressured by their parent company ZeniMax Studios in California. Either you can fiddle with INI settings, use mods that alter these sources and fiddle with their settings, or not use mods that do these things (or don't mod at all)... that's basically the best advice I can give. After a few years of modding, I find that there just doesn't seem to always be a solid way to fix any problem on Skyrim, because the engine is crap, and it was rushed - thus making the game bad without mods. It's great to have mods for it that enhance the game, as well as fix it - but at the end of the day it's still a crap game, and no matter what you do you're going to come across some kind of problem anymore. If you can accept that, and still mod it - then my guess is - solve the problems that bother you the most - and don't change anything else and if you crash sometimes, ignore it and just keep trying. Eventually I'll give up myself.. but for now I'm one of those people that will continue to try to solve problems until I just can't take it anymore and I blow up at it. Skyrim modding is that frustrating - it makes no difference how much knowledge you have of modding Skyrim, you'll still have these problems on and off the more you bother with it at all - because as I stated, it's a crap game yet we all love it because of the modding - not because of what it is - that's a fact or we wouldn't be modding it at all. I hope my biased opinions and or suggestions have helped, I hate to be negative but there is just no better way to put it that I can find in my mind. Happy new year, if you can have it.

  7. Well seems even thought the author had uploaded a fixed file to fix the problem, the problem isn't fixed and I don't even think he believes that the mod is at fault. But it clearly is if removing every mod I have, except for Enhanced Blood Textures, doesn't fix it - but then removing Enhanced Blood Textures, does fix it - then I'd say it is the mods fault. But there is nothing else I can replace it with, so I guess I'm going to have low quality blood in my game... only way I know to fix the problem. No one else has any helpful information, so I guess that's the way it is. This thread can be closed, because I'm not going to get any help anyway. I never do when I make posts like this.

  8. Sounds like you should go back to the previous version, and maybe send the enhanced blood mod author a polite PM about it. Include your Load Order too if you can.

Yes, it is something I thought about then I before I posted this, I figured "What if he doesn't acknowledge me and figure out what is wrong, or worse yet... what if the problem isn't that mod - then what do I do?" so I came here and made the post in hopes to find solutions that might fix the problem. I have 1 other issue that was present before I even updated, but the game at least worked, and it was very minor issue - that was related to ENBs, but that's for another post to ask for help with.

  9. After I updated Enhanced Blood mod about literally 2 minutes ago, now when I try to run Skyrim - it crashes to desktop before the command prompt box can be open for more than a millisecond.

So, I run BOSS to see if it notes any problems, it doesn't - then I run TES5Edit and it notes no problems, and everything loads up fine.

So what is going on here? I'm at a loss.

Oh forgot to mention there is also some fix esps with the ENB I'm using, that I didn't know came with it and didn't have activated before, and so I activated them before I ran the game. Not sure what that's going to do... they're suppose to fix weather problems with the ENB.

I've tried more than I can think of to fix this problem, I don't know what else to do. That is why I am here, posting about it.

  10. Indeed that's the idea I'm going for. I'd love to see them use Sarena's AI package as a base, and then have it altered to be even more, and have quest aware features like the follower mod Odvar the Afflicted has, while also having custom voices for all NPCs, giving them some new lines, and being able to interact with eachother, and the world as a real human being would. Thus, if you stop by a carriage, and some bandits are near by and attack, they might have something unique to say, or they might talk to another NPC when they go by them. Kind of like what some NPCs do in the Interesting NPCs mod, but for every vanilla NPC and followers. If they all use the same AI package, it would be fantastic, instead of only having Sarena have a cool AI package, but still not 'that' interactive - which is why I said improve it. I think that'd be something that most of the community would love if not all of us in our entirety as a community.

  11. I think that the main reason why nobody has made a texture in quality and symbiosis with Coverkhajiits is because it's hard.

Not the texture itself, in particular, no. But to create a flawless transition from body part to body part would require the use of mrLenski's textures, which would require his permission, and he's inactive since more than a year back.

I can understand that, however - a modder that has really good skills at making really good hair - probably could duplicate it without using mrLenski's files to do it, and thus wouldn't need permission if that said modder had the skill, and was willing and able to make a matching body, all from scratch.

  12. It seems no body does this. Argonian don't have the problem and human/elves have already been fixed by other mods a thousand times over.

Can someone please fix the ugly neck on Khajiit, and maybe even make a body texture that goes with Coverkhajiits (for real? The one that's available does not match at all and no body seems to care about Khajiits).

Everywhere I look, I can't find a mod that fixes that ugly neck, and I also can't find a body texture that matches Coverkhajiits. Please don't reply with a link to the ones that are available that do have a TITLE that says it's meant for the Coverkhajiits faces... because they do not match or look good at all.

If no one is willing to work on these then could someone please tell me how to fix it myself, so I could AT LEAST fix the neck? I am so tired of seeing it, even on NPCs that I'm not playing...

Note that this ugly neck problem occurs on both male and female, it's just more noticeable on male.

  13. I love the Interesting NPCs mod and I use it in every playthrough of the game. I love follower mods that have interesting dialogue and especially the ones that have an opinion about the quest you're doing (e.g. Odvar the Afflicted) and I also like the AI package that Serana from Dawnguard uses.

I was wondering if someone could use the AI package that Serana has, and the quest aware feature that Odvar has and create an entirely new AI package for every vanilla and DLC follower that you are able to have in the game, without dependency from other mods. I was also wondering if we could find voice actors to replace some of the voices in the game, so that we don't hear the same voices over and over. As you should know by now, Bethesda used the same voice actors. So a lot of characters in the game sound exactly the same, I would like for this to be changed if possible. If I have to, I will donate money to the project. We could finally make Skyrim more interesting than it's ever been with a project like this.

Who is interested in taking on this project, anyone?

Please let me know, contact me or something. I'll work with you on terms of what would make you not want to do it, and do my best to contribute to the project the best I can so we can actually do this project. This will be a big project, and I honestly believe that the community would love it and it'd be considered one of the most essential mods of all time for Skyrim. (maybe even make versions of it for the previous TES games too that are needed)

Thanks for your time, and I really hope someone is interested in this. I would love to have this more than anything else.

  14. I too would like for this to happen. For now all there is, is Vanilla Hair Variety mod. Look it up, type in "Vanilla Hair" in the search on the site, it will show up. It has different hairstyles, but not many. The author of the mod basically remeshed some of the original hairstyles from the game and made them standalone, instead of replacers. He was working on more, but I don't know what happened as it's been a while since it's been updated last I checked.

  15. The title isn't clear on what I want, I couldn't come up with a better title and I just woke up but anyway, I'll breakdown what I mean as clearly as I think I can and if it's not completely clear, please somebody reply and tell me and I'll try to make it even easier. I know when I request things it's confusing sometimes - things don't come out right from my head - I can't help it.

So basically the mod should be simple enough but we'll see:

A mod that will allow you to have a choice, whether to start in Falkreath or Riverwood. It will require some new scripting, and maybe mirror quests.

Basically having the option of either Riverwood or Falkreath makes since to me since they aren't that far from each other. Why be linear and have the same start every time?

I thought it'd be a good idea to have similar quests that you get in Riverwood, but in Falkreath with NPCs in Falkreath (not same names, not same looks - just use what is there). If the NPCs don't have much dialog, we could find a voice actor and write lines for them to say, and put the voice to the NPC in scripting. Then we could have the option of all the quests in Whiterun be available in Falkreath too, since Falkreath has a Yarl too, and you could get an NPC similar to Lydia after the Dragon Rising quest, but doesn't look identical, and does use the same voice and lines.

This to me seems like a rather simple mod, but maybe not something everyone will have interest in - but I think it's good to have a variety of choices for new start mods. I've used most of them out there, if not all. I would like a starting mod like this. I think it's simple enough and it's different enough that I don't feel like I'm doing 'exactly' the same thing every time I start a new.

    Anyone interested in this project?

  16. How about a mod favorites system?

Basically be able to drag and drop, or click a favorites button, to add a mod to your favorites section, per account, while also sorting them into categories and have NMM be able to pull that information up and suggest installing favorite addons when NMM is installed on a system it's never been installed on, once the user has logged on. Maybe also provide a button that lets the user decide if they want the mod manager to automatically start downloading each mod and set in settings to automatically activate the mods if they want to.

That's my suggestion for a feature.

    Thanks for your time.

  17. Is there anyone out there that has the skill and time and would like to create, Ragnar Lodbrok from the Vikings TV show; along with his Armor (most importantly the dark almost black armors) weapons, shields and of course make his hairstyle/beard style playable as well as what he has in the game?

It might be a little challenging to figure out what kinds of skills he'd have or traits and what not, but shouldn't be impossible.

The show is yet to be concluded, but I've been watching it and he's an awesome character.

I also would like to see the fur pelt that he wears around his shoulders in some shots to be in game as an option to wear too, and script him to wear it if you have Frostfall installed and the climate and weather warrants it, but never a hood.

Maybe we can find someone that would be able to play his voice, and sound similar to him as the voice actor for it. He can also have a comment to say when he hears the song Ragnar the Red playing in an Inn, and complain that - he's still alive - and laugh about it, talking to the Bards and anyone around that listens in.

He seems fitting for a character in Skyrim in my opinion and Technically Ragnar Lodbrok isn't copyrighted character for that TV show, since when you look up the name the first thing that comes up is about the real Ragnar Lodbrok that lived many years ago.

Is there anyone willing and able to take on this project?

Here is a link to the images section on the website for the show for referrence: http://www.history.com/shows/vikings/pictures/episode-3-dispossessed/vikins_gallery3_5

    Thanks.

Note: There might be other posts about this here somewhere, but I'm not able to find - so here you go.

  18. I was watching this new show on History channel called The Bible, and since I believe in God, and Jesus - and my faith is to that - I thought it'd be really cool to have a Jesus follower. Here is a list below, of what I'd like to have him like.

1} Dynamic AI - making him as close as possible to the persona that is described in The Bible.

2} Have similar clothing to what he has in The Bible.

3} He can be like a Priest Class of some type, that can heal, and support - but also is brave and fearless - does not do hand to hand combat. Instead submits, or stands where he is, letting you - his follower - do the combat - but he can and will heal you.

4} If you do wrong, and he sees it happen - he will not heal you in combat, and he will not provide quests to you, until you speak to him, and ask for forgiveness. When that occurs, the glow effect that happens when you give a poor person money, will occur - but then you will be given a new blessing called "The Blessing of God".

5} He will Bless, cure, and heal you when needed - even out of combat - but not during dialog if you choose to speak to him when you have low health. Instead, he will do it when he isn't busy.

6} He will not carry a weapon. If you try to give him anything, he won't take it unless it's food, health potions, books, scrolls or parchments.

7} He is very wise. You cannot pickpocket him, without being a master in pickpocket.

8} If you attack him, he will curse you and leave your service.

9} He will pray for you, when you both are idle, or not moving - or leaving the room/cell you are in - thus blessing you and him both - often.

10} The Imperials must be kind of smug, and disrespectful to him - while the poor are kind to him - regardless of their race, and praise him when he walks by - if they are not Nords or Elven races. The Nords do not trust him, but are otherwise respectful - in the presence of you. Nords do not praise him, or bow to him. They believe in Talos.

11} The Nords revere you as the Dragonborn, but the poor revere Jesus for being The Son of God - if they are not Nords.

12} Jesus must have Healing abilities, blessings related to the Bible, ability to walk on Water, and make you walk on Water if you are following him (making him a follower but really you follow him).

13} At the end of the Civil War questline, there should also be a trigger in place - if you choose the Imperials to follow at the end, General Tullius will put Jesus on a Cross, leaving him to die, for causing people to praise yet another 'God' that the Thalmor do not believe is a God. After he dies on the Cross, guards will put him in a cave blocking it with a Giant rock to cover the cave up. Following what the bible says about Jesus resurrection, it will happen in game - and Jesus will be resurrected and come out of the Cave, and Ascend to the Sky, and disappear, as many poor get on their knees and praise him.

14} More ideas I do not have right now, this is up for discussion with whomever decides to take on making this mod - and those that are interested in seeing this kind of mod come to light.

If you have more ideas for this, I encourage you to comment here. I hope somebody is willing to make this mod possible. Using the Bible as a basis for everything, to make it as accurate as possible but also making it fit within the world, and lore of Skyrim as much as possible. If we have to change things we can - but I'd like to have Jesus' personality, but as close as possible to how he is in the Bible.

    Thank you.

  19. Quite frustrating, but they'll get it under control. They usually do when something breaks.

They're getting better and better on stability and site performance everyday.

I use to get so mad I'd feel like it was never going to happen just from visiting. But they proved that I was getting mad for nothing, because they're working on it - they always work on it. They work hard.

All we have to do is be patient.

  20. I want to use PayPal. But the staff are being butt-heads and won't help me. My problem with PayPal has been going on since PayPal started. I've tried and tried so many times to use it, but they won't help me. It refuses to let me just use my debit card, because I have an account and can't delete it. But at the same time, I can't connect my bank account to my PayPal account and the staff can't help me do it - because it's a very old account. I asked if I could merge it with a new one, and they still can't help me. I get no where. So that's why I can't use PayPal, and that's why I requested another way to pay for premium options here. But I understand where you're coming from, and yes PayPal is very easy to use once you 'can'. I have no idea why I can't. I've tried everything. If you have some way of using a debit card, securely, I'd do that - but you don't. So I'm stuck for now. I've wanted a premium for quite a while. I can keep trying, but I can't be sure that they're able to help me now, after all these years they couldn't before either.
  21. The forum has the opposite issue: try adding a line break between sentences and then attempting to delete the whitespace at the front of the second sentence. Bet you'll delete the first letter as well.

    (Tested on Chrome)

    Interesting, I haven't noticed that - I'm on Firefox.

  22. I notice when visiting mods on any page, not just Skyrim Nexus (where I am most active); you can't really quote people or get a direct link to their comment like you can on the forum topic.

I was wondering if I could request to have the comments section of each mod be like it is on the forums to some degree, allowing you to use every feature the forums do for commenting - except the advanced options so basically just to be able to quote a person in the comments by clicking on 'Quote' on their section, and also being able to click on a # which gives you a link to that direct comment within the forums - so you don't ALWAYS have to use the 'View Forum Thread" to have a more robust Quote, or get the direct link to a comment?

What do you think, is this something that you guys are willing to impliment? It would be a little easier. I know at one time I had no idea that only on the forums I could get a direct link to a comment. When I was reporting a user once, I was told by a staff member that I needed to provide that kind of link to each comment that I was reporting - and I didn't know about that feature to begin with. Eventually I descovered that it was only on the forums. So I figured it'd be easier if it was accessible from the mods comment page as well.

Maybe other ideas from the community of what to make changes too on the site as well. But right now this is all I got.
