  1. I am having a terrible time using the grap hook on this tower. Sometimes I can make it to the other side of the building and other times not. Maybe I am swinging too soon or something. Does anyone have any tips? I cannot stop the quest to upgrade so I am totally stuck. Any help would be great. Thank you!
  2. I see what you mean. Ok. I downloaded the Nexus Mod manager. I was able to download the unofficial fallout three patch with no problem as it shows in the Mod Manager as well as the data files in fo3. Now, I downloaded another file but I am having trouble knowing where to extract it to. When I unzip it this is the path it gives me: C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Local\Temp\Marts Mutant Mod 1-RC61-3211.7z\ I do not see it in the Mod Manager. I think I am close to figuring this out but I would like to ask for a bit more help with this. Where should I extract it to? Thanks, Chris
  3. Hi Vorvic. I am using winzip to extract. The info I got on how to get the mod downloaded was the nexus forum: wiki.http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/How_to_install_mods_for_Fallout_3 This is the texture pack: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/12056/? So there is everything I have done. As I said in my first post when I go to extract this is what it says: Program Files \ Steam \ steamapps \ Common \ Fallout 3 \ Data. Each time I extract it says the following: Operation is not supported. Before I tried to extract to this address it was extracting to this address which just came up as the default:C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Local\Temp\. The one above was what the wiki said to extract to. It seems silly to uninstall steam just to be able to dl some mods. Is there any help for this problem available??? Thanks, Chris
  4. I am the administrator. So, same problem and same questions as asked above. Is there another forum in which I should be asking these questions in order to get more help? Thanks.
  5. Well now I am more confused then before. I was hoping for an answer to this: I read how to do all of that. it's still quite confusing, For example it tells you to do this to backup your files prior to moving the steam location. : Delete all of the files and folders except the SteamApps & Userdata folders and Steam.exe. Well, the only steam.exe I have is this:Steam.exe.old and even that will not open. Should I simply delete steam completely and reinstall it to a place that will allow me to download mods? Should I just start over? And If I do does steam give me a choice where to install it? Thanks, I will try to log on as an admin and see if that helps. If not, I think i will be forced to play without mods and that blows. At least with the Steam Workshop it was as easy as pie. I'll let you know old hand. Thanks!

  7. Thanks for trying but as I said I am not a tecke. I am now more lost then before.
  8. Ok. I have downloaded the fallout Mod Manager. No problem. I then downloaded my first mod called the texture large pack. So far so good. I unzip it to this address which I found on the wiki-C: \ Program Files \ Steam \ steamapps \ Common \ Fallout 3 \ Data. Each time I extract it says the following: Operation is not supported. Now, before I tried to extract to this address it was extracting to this address which just came up as the default:C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Local\Temp\. I am totally new at this and am not a tecke at all. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I have a ton of mods I have looked at and really want to replay fo3 and Newvegas modded but I am stuck. Thanks in advance for any help offered. Chris
  9. I do not know if this is the proper place to ask this question. I am a total newbie here and I am trying to simply find out how to download a mod? I went to a list of Mods that pc gamer likes. I clicked on the link and it brings me to a particular mod. What I see is a nmm file and a manual file. What do I click on to download a mod? Do I need a premium account to download? Can someone please help? I a a bit overwhelmed by this site. I usually dl mods from steam so this is totally new to me. Thanks! Chris
