It's a start, I have been messing around with current in game spells just to understand the CK better and I do appreciate you at least answering unlike other people who just ignore it so thank you! Hopefully I can figure it out cause it's one spell I have been very interested in making or seeing someone else make
  2. I just started getting into mods and I wanted to create one custom spell that I can't seem to find anywhere, I want to create a force field/bubble shield per say. Something similar to a bubble shield from Halo or Destiny if anyone has played either game. Basically have it as a spell similar to ward where you have to keep casting it but it creates a shield that no one can walk through or attack? I had a few ideas like transparent similar to ward or to go a bit crazy and create like a rock dome around you. Either way I was curious as to hard that would be, creating a brand new spell? I was hoping someone could possibly give me a push in the right direction on where I could find a tutorial on creating brand new custom spells cause all I seem to find is stuff like changing color of already in game spells or just editing spells in CK. Any form of feedback from someone would be greatly appreciated!

  5. Ok so I am COMPLETELY new to modding and the CK and other stuff like that. I have been watching many videos to help me get started so I'm not asking for a complete step by step guide. I want to learn how to create custom weapons and armor, I wanted to start with weapons because it seems easier and smaller to do. I have watched many videos including Nightasy for how to create the models and stuff like that but I can't figure out how to do all of this for SSE. I have tried the whole Blender and Nifskope Import/export stuff but from what I understand some stuff from SSE isn't compatible? I have Blender 2.78c and Nifskope alpha 6 I believe. I already have extracted the BSA meshes and I have the NIF files for the vanilla weapons and such. I want to know would I go about opening them in blender? Do I need a different version, I've been trying to use more up to date versions for both programs but if I need multiple then let me know cause I have no issue with that. Just knowing what versions and programs I need to work on SSE files is a huge help! Also if anyone does have a tutorial on youtube on modding for SSE that I may have missed cause everything I see is for the old skyrim and I find many road blocks in their tutorials for SSE, and anything recent is just CK work which doesn't help me if I want to make brand new custom weapons. Any help is much appreciated, thank you!
  6. Ok so I am COMPLETELY NEW to modding, I've asked around and am creating another topic because I am struggling very deeply. I know people say to look this up and go to youtube but I can not find anything recent for Skyrim SPECIAL EDITION modding... I want to learn how to create new custom weapons and armor. I'm absolutely brand new and have been watching tutorials to learn but the one issue Im having is what tools ACTUALLY WORK for SSE? I keep hearing Blender and Nifskope as the most used so far, I have blender 2.78c and the most recent Nifskope. I've been told to use old Skyrim meshes since the new SSE have compatibility issues? But then if I do that how do I convert the OBJs after working on them in Blender back into a NIF? I've tried googling that too but I don't see anything unless I'm missing something... Do I need older versions? Honestly if I could just get the programs and versions that current modders use to create new stuff use I feel like I could figure this out much better. Is there any SSE modders who can help me figure this out please? I'm not asking for everything to be done I just would appreciate a solid answer of what actually works for todays Skyrim SE and not the old one. Thank you to anyone who can assist me on this, I do apologize if this may be in the wrong section!
  7. Ok so basically what I have to do is use the old Skyrim meshes/BSAs through Nifskope and Blender? That would make a lot of sense since I can't get new SSE files into blender properly. If you wouldn't mind, is there somewhere where I can get old Skyrim files without owning it? I don't have it on the PC, I never bought it unfortunately
  8. Ok that much helped, still can't seem to figure out the whole import/export deal. Everything I see is for the old Skyrim and a lot of them have road blocks...
  9. Ok so I am brand new to modding. Have been a console guy for most of my Skyrim adventures and I just bought it for PC the Special Edition. I wanted to learn how to mod and create my own weapons but I'm struggling... I understand there are so many tutorials on this but none of them help with my issue, I have tried using the new SE Meshes extracted from BSA files and uploaded them into Nifskope but when I open Nifskope it only shows 1 block called BSNode and nothing else. I don't understand where all these NiTriShapes and other blocks are located and when I export into an OBJ file to move it in blender it shows up invisible in blender... Is there some new way with the new blender and Nifskope available? I tried downloading old versions to match the videos for the original Skyrim but nothing seems to work. Any advice would be appreciated please..!
