I wanted to do this post as i was playing four days ago and Fallout London crashed to the desktop and a box appeared with an error log and this is it. Can anyone with more technical knowlege than i perhaps explain what the problem may be and i as less technically minded sort and fix the problem. crash-2024-12-10-23-55-51.log

I have seen a you tube member named Ranger Dave used the Creation Kit to make some floodlights at Thicket Excavations which i thought were excellent and i was hoping that a nexus modder could make things like floodlights like the one's used at Diamond City or searchlights.

I wanted to ask if anyone can recall a mod which block's off roads and access routes so that when you go through one day it is okay but the next time you try the access is blocked which makes going to places more difficult as i cannot find this at all and i would like to download it.

M48A5. Thank you for your advice about this issue. I have reinstalled all of the fallout 3 game and the dlc to the game folder on the C Drive as was suggested and am about to put in place FOSE which is the latest one v1_2beta2 from Silverlock even though i have it already save but better to be safe than sorry. Before i do so i wanted to check where it should be put as when i double click on the game folder it opens to shows at the top data folder containing the fomod,meshes,etc through to videos at the bottom and the fallout 3 esm and dlc plus the mods i have there. I know that when the game was previously installed it was sent to Bethesda Softworks which had a folder named Fallout 3 with all these various pieces in one place. Going back one step to the previous section below the data folder it says fallout 3 which opens to show two folders named Install Info and Mods which is empty and a list of dll,cfg files,Fallout 3 Application and across from it Application,Fallout.exe3 with Security Catalog across and below FalloutLauncher with Application below these two. I know that i have to move the FOSE files apart from src which can be left in place and didn't want to make a mistake. Once i have moved them to the correct folder should i then make a shortcut and send it to the desktop,rename if needed and change the icon as has been suggested or leave it and do the Fake xlive.bsa. Reference the settings you said to change.Is this in Fomm or the game itself and hopefully once all this has been done i can then run the game by clicking on the game icon to generate the ini and it all works. M48A5. I have reinstalled the game and the dlc to the c drive games folder and these are the mods that i have at the moment. M48A5. Thank you for the information. I uninstalled everything last night including fallout 3,dlc and a folder named Bethesda Softworks which was created when i installed the game. At the moment i am going to reinstall and can see that by clicking on custom it says install fallout 3 to c:\....Bethesda Softworks\Fallou3 so i'm going to try putting it in to the game folder you mention and see what happens after i have done this. I have done the link to the folder games and it is now installing. Fingers crossed.

BlackRampage and M48A5. Thanks for the feedback. I have no idea based on what you both say why the game worked in the time that it did.perhaps the gaming gods looked on me for a time. I think the best option will be to uninstall everything rather than mess around too much and then reinstall to another location as i have enough time this week. Where would be the best place for this in your opinions and when i do so which Optional Vats,Optional Tracers and Followers Enhanced esp would be best and what Amy Wong patches should i not use to make it work to the maximum potential. Is anything else that you think i can do to make it work. As for FWE it is the current 6.03 edition. Reading posts such as yours lets me learn a lot. Thanks for the help so far. Ian

Hello all. I have tried to start my Fallout 3 game this afternoon and each time i get a message to say The instruction at 0x76fd43e0 referenced memory at 0x00000004, The memory could not be read and underneath Click on OK to close the program I was able to play this previously by clicking on FOSE located on the desktop and it was okay. Hi all. I am trying to find a picture i saw on here about a week ago and through this hopefully a mod on here which shows i believe a female character on the gangway in front of Rivet City. This character had some sort of armour on her,was holding a weapon and was wearing a helmet with a set of steampunk type googles which stuck out. It was part of a set of at least four pictures and from what i can recall may have been the second or third in the set. I would apreciate any help as i really liked the look that was shown. Ian

Ok another lost mod that I need found.. This one is going to be harder because I can only remember one picture. It was of two people sitting down at a chessboard playing chess. I think it was a house mod? that was made out of junk...or a town made from junk. It might even be for NV...so i'll ask on there as well. Still looking for this.

Hi all. I wanted to try and find a mod which i found last year. It has a base in the N/E area of the Wastland close to the Greener pastures Disposal site in which a lot of Enclave Troops patrolling outside with several Protectrons and inside along with more troops and Scientists. It looks like a garage on the ground floor,rubble in the left corner,tables,sandbags in front of the door as you go in and then in the right hand corner is a set of steps going down to a blast door with more levels and more troops scattered about. How about one that lets you pay for Gobs freedom so he becomes a companion for a while,explains how he became a ghoul,he trains you in wasteland medicine,perhaps an assasin who is after him for something he did before the war such as a child killing. Ian

Since many people are doing mods about weapons how about a crossbow. Combine say a broken hunting rifle,darts and some sort of elastic strapping to get what you need. The alternative is to have this available in a number of gun shops already built. Ian

The best combat scene for me had to be one i played on my next to present last attempt with the game. Basically i had the Talon Camps mod installed and on my way to Arefu i found one which is close to the picnic ground/caravan site so i sneaked around and killed three mercs before going in the caravan and then using a stealth boy,dropping two grenades on another merc who was nosing around close by and then waiting a short while and popping a few more grenades through the broken roof and hearing loud explosions and xp points racking up while the red caution indicator was on and the mercs are going who's there,who's there several times. I was thinking it would be nice to find an old truck in the wasteland which has been abandoned and a small quest to fix it up with a better engine,windows armoured with old metal sheets and extra storage boxes in the back. Once found to enter it as with other mods use E and either first or third person to drive. It can go to many places in the wasteland either using the old roads or overland but ha to be maintained and once it cannot go any further to a destination a map marker such as a star is put on the Pip Boy showing it's location and a line towards the place you need to get to. Thank you for your reply. Since you were good enough to point me in the right direction for the mod i wanted to ask if you have used it and if so perhaps you can say how the Grenade Launcher next to the grenades on the small shelf which is on the first floor close to the bedroom/cell be used as i have taken this gun before and cannot figure out how it works. Thank you very much for the reply and my apology for the delay in responding. I did eventually find the mod after a lot of searching and saved it to a folder on my hard drive along with several others,all of which i will back up just in case i lose data. Sincerely Ian

Hello all i wanted to ask about a mod i am trying to find for a home in Springvale as i have had to remove all of my game files,mods and the base folder from Bethsoft as i was having some problems with the game in general. One of the mods that i removed was for a home in Springvale which was on the higher area to the right of Silvers home between this and the overpass with the raiders and looking towards the Springvale School with the derelict ranch house just below it. It was two storey white fronted house with a mail box outside which you had to lock pick to get the key to open the front door. Inside the door just to the left as you walked in was a first aid box next to a medical tray and then a table with a computer with information about a man upstairs and then a workbench with two tool boxes underneath next to the stairs and on top two schematics. Going through to the back there was a trophy room with a US Victory rifle,lots of books to use and a small refrigerator and sofa. Upstairs on a shelf was a grenade launcher with grenades and opposite there was a jail cell with the prisoner and next to it was a room with lots of weapons,ammunition and grenades-mines. In the bedroom there was the usual bed and a dresser in the corner with clothing. Also downstairs in the house was a Protectron robot next to the kitchen which had a Nuka Cola machine and a refrigerator in the corner. I have looked on here,other sites and used Google but for the life of me i cannot find it,nor recall what name it may have been labelled under and i really want to find it again as it would fit in perfectly with the game i am currently playing. If anyone can help help me then i would be very grateful. Regards Ian

Hi all. I wanted to provide an update and say that i have managed to fix the problem with the entry gates to the subways stations. Basically i went back to the time period from May till when this occurred and removed quite a few mods,one of which was probably causing the issue and this seems to have cured the problem. As for the other issue with not being able to close down the game properly i guess i will have to get in touch with Bethsoft and ask them about this and if i receive assistance then i will post the information her. Hi all. I have noticed for a little while now that when i enter the metro (irradated metro),the alaska memorial,the metro along the promeande close to the broken down truck with the mutant for example and a couple of other places that instead of the normal gate there is a very black entry and no green words saying do you want to go enter and when i go through it doesn't save as the game is supposed to and once inside there is no station corridors but i am looking up from below as though the floor is missing. I have no idea what could be causing this problem to occur and would welcome any advice. Also i have noticed that when i click on the word quit at the end of a game the screen is then black with a white surround and a small box in the top left corner also with a white border and another box in the middle of the screen saying fallout 3.exe stopped working. I then have to click cntrl,alt,del to get the task manager,click on fallout 3 process,end process which makes another small box appear saying fallout has stopped working do you wish to close or something similar. I am at a loss to figure out what may be causing this other problem or how to make it better and close as normal unless i have to unistall all of fallout3,save games,configuration files,etc Ian

My most memorable scene is in the recent game which i started a few days ago. I fast travelled to the Fairfax Ruins as i have the mod allowing me a home there and jumped right in to a really vicious gun fight between a group of BOS Outcasts and at least a dozen Raiders.It was a really what the hell moment. Luckily i had killed a raider close to the Springvale School a short while before and looted his cold dead corpse to get a missile launcher which i used in Fairfax to take out the majority of the raiders who were in the back alley all bunched up and the rest i then machine gunned before finishing off the one in the front ruined house along with the turret. I also have the ghoul outbreak mod but i have had to unistall this as i feel i am too low a level character at the moment and will wait till later as i did play a previous game and got swamped twice again in Fairfax Ruins when a huge group of them surrounded the car i was as standing on and just outside when i was standing on a large mound of rubble.
