  1. Sorry if there's a mod out there that does this but I spent the better part of an hour duckducking, googling and nexus searching for a mod that will do either or both of the following: Allow you to create gear loadouts. This would be great for players that like to rely on armor pieces for speech/barter/etc... checks It would also allow us to "protect" our gear so that we don't accidentally sell items or accidentally use them to repair other items. I personally can't count how many hours I've wasted reloading an old save because my dumb ass used my roving merchants gear to repair brahim armor. Thanks in advance for any help or to any mod author that takes on this project.
  2. Same problem but this is a fresh install, I've never had Skyrim let alone SkyUI installed before.
  3. Same issue here. Downloading mods has been hit or miss for a few days now. I hope it gets resolved soon as I just got Fallout 3 GOTY.
  4. TY Augh for replying to this topic. I just got DSPTDE and these forums were the first place I looked for exactly the info you provided.
  5. I picked up FO3 on release day on the word of a friend who said I'd love it. He was kind of right... I got it on release day and played it for about 8 hours then the next day I just couldn't bring myself to play it. A week later I sold it. Forward a year later and I borrow FO3 from a friend and ended up putting in well over 300 hours into it (without any DLC). It wasn't bad, even though the story reminds me of something we'd see in Call of Duty (in the pacing and set piece action sequence stuff). It's just that I've enjoyed FONV more in every single way. Except one. I REALLY miss random encounters.
  6. Detroit would be PERFECT! Seeing as it's already a wasteland all they would have to do it take photos and use them to create textures and to create the game world. I remember back in my late teens I was real into nuclear war and its impact on Detroit and the surrounding areas (as I lived there at the time) and in one book I read there was a map with predicted targets and the resulting damage from various types of warheads. It would be pretty cool to go from New Vegas (Live in Vegas now) to Fallout 4 in Detroit where I used to live. Seriously though, I could not care less where it takes place but I REALLY, REALLY want the folks responsible for NV to do the writing and story with Bethesda designing the game world. While I enjoy NV much more than FO3 in every regard the fact remains that FO3 was far less buggy at launch.
  7. That's the funny thing about games, there's thousands upon thousands of them. I wonder why that is. I mean according to your "logic" people don't have varying taste and your opinion is the definitive one. Just for reference: I've put more time into ONE character in FO3/FONV (take your pick) than I have in ALL the TES games combined. They may play similar and have a lot of similar features but I find FONV to be the best among them. Why is that? Well, it's because I find the game world (that you find so lame) to be the most engaging of them.
  8. A quick bing search led me to this: http://fallout.answers.wikia.com/wiki/How_to_change_language_in_new_vegas Now that sounds like a game issue and not a mod issue. As I said, I'm not too hip on what mods are which and what they do just by seeing their name(s). Hopefully someone more knowledgeable comes along to help.
  9. It's definitely a mod as I had the same problem. I'm new to this so I don't know what a lot of those mods do but I'll outline my situation in the hope that it will help you narrow down your issue. I installed Project Nevada halfway through my current character and loaded a save I made just before a fight. As soon as I got in that fight I died, reloaded, won the fight but only had like 10 HP left. Turns out it was part of PN's rebalance settings. I went into MCM and changed all the rebalance settings to their vanilla values and the problem is solved. From what I can see you don't have MCM installed. I don't know how many (if any at all) of those mods work with MCM but you should install it (link: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/42507). Then, when in game press ESC (pause menu) and you'll see a new choice at the top for MCM. Go through the menu on the left and see if any of the mods (if they're supported) are changing how the game plays, if they are then change the values to match vanilla settings. Hope this helps!
