Whenever I open to the main menu, all is well, everything works. Except the audio. There is no launch theme music, and when i load a file or start a new game, there is no ingame audio either. It run at 3-5 fps consistently (mostly a guess, but its unplayable) In the past I have been able to remedy this issue by unplugging my headphones on launch, then replacing them before i load a game, but that no longer works. Its probably a realtek driver issue, but I have checked that and it didnt work. I have tried playing new vegas on both windows 7 and 10. both work about the same, the load perfectly fine the first time, then you close and relaunch the game and it all falls apart. I have the same problems with both oblivion and fallout 3, but not morrowind, fallout 4, or Skyrim LE/SE. I have in the past been able to load the game from both fresh start and a save game without any issue. I have had the same problems with both modded and vanila versions of the game. My specs are not the issue, but I also dont know how to acquire valuable data on the exact makes and models of all my components. All I can say for sure is that I have and Alienware 17 r5, but im unaware if anything inside the body has been exchanged. I took it in one time for what i believe was a fan issue. I have also formatted both my hard drives at least once, so there may be a program or two missing that im unaware of. I really want to play this game, as ive never truly finished it, and I've heard such great things. Please help me.
