Recommended mods for someone new to the game?
joeyboy123 replied to joeyboy123's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Yeah just read about this NMM thing, so do all mods work with it? How does it handle these clashes since by default it seems to me if two mods are altering the same file, it's the mod loaded last on some sort of list which overrides ones loaded up before it? Does NMM allow them to work simultaneously, a bit like a mod manager back in the days of Total Annihilation did, or what? So far I think It's the graphical improvements and that monster mod I'm looking at, also one which gives a load of new spells and "shouts". -

woah thanks for the list there Gebreth! I'm just reading around now about how mods work, it seems some mods can clash? Do these do that are they all able to be active at the same time? I've noticed a monster mod which adds around 100 monsters, 17 types of dragon etc, that seems pretty neat.. -
Firstly hi folks, new member here! A few of my friends have Skyrim for their PS3's/Xbox 360's. They're always raving about how good of a game it is in its genre. I don't normally play RPG's, only the likes of Final Fantasy, which I feel isn't comparable at all, so this would be a first step into the genre really. Now I'm more a PC gamer since I do like my pretty graphics and as we folks know, PC wipes the floor with consoles. Also I'm very keen on mods and back in the day used to mod RTS games like Command & Conquer: RA2. I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for top mods which are suitable for a newbie? There are so many mods out for Skyrim, some very similar, some I don't quite understand as I haven't played the game to learn the terminology, so it's quite overwhelming Building a new PC next month so it'll have the following specs, as I imagine some mods make it quite demanding, but I believe it will be able to handle things: i5-2500k (I'll OC it to 4ghz or so) GTX 670 8GB 1600mhz ram thanks for any advice guys =).
