  1. I'm quite sad this idea has been proposed in 2013 and for eight years not a single soul replied to it. It's a pretty neat idea.
  2. Ever played that game Star Wars The Force Unleashed? It was a game I played back in my PS2 days and in the game, there was an old Jedi who you had look for as part of the questline and when you did, he was drunk, blind and covered in his own piss. Even when you took him on your ship, he refused to cooperate 80% of the time and seem to pay no interest in the meeting summit your protagonist is planning to hold soon. The crew decided to hold the meeting without him but just as soon as they started, he made his entrance, fully sober and looked neat. The same could be done with Esbern. For someone living in the sewers for who knows how long, it would make sense for him to look like a beggar when you do find him. But wouldn't it be cooler that when the meeting at High Hrothgar commenced, he would don his old Blades armor and at least give himself a makeover to look more presentable? That, is the mod I'm getting at. A character replacer that only takes place after the start of an event.
  3. A few I know are: Song of the Green. A bosmeri female follower that can teach you plenty about Valenwood lore. Her looks aren't great but you can use either the two replacer mods or NPC Visual Transfer Tool to change her look to any follower out there. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/81921 Recorder. A follower that is not from this world. She's like a visitor to your world to study the place. A little lore breaking but a fun follower. Also comes with a few replacer mods to spice her look. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68683 Sofia. Personally I've never used her but I hear a lot of people love her so I'm assuming she's fun to have around. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54527 Aurlyn Dawnstone. An aldmer follower that is older than even the founding Empire. She has plenty of lore wisdom to share and is very powerful in a fight. You'll want her on your side in a fight. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/83416 Use this to beautify her a bit. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/94827
  4. I'm working on a mod that overhauls the looks of NPCs and that includes dungeon boss NPCs such as Jaree-Ra, Minorne and Haldyn. Problem is some NPCs are radiant, meaning that their race will be random on spawn and their looks may vary. A few example of this are like Movarth, Rigel Strong-Arm and Fjola. So my question is can I modify their looks by giving them a set race and if I do, will there be any potential problems that may arise in the future?
  5. Currently working on a personal NPC overhaul mod that covers up pretty much every named civilian-type or civilized NPC in Skyrim excluding ones already covered by Bijin and Pandorable. What I suddenly lack and need is creativity to cover over 500 NPCs. And I really need some presets for NPCs that reside in Eastmarch, The Rift, the Eastern Orc Tribes and Dayspring Canyon [small settlements like Darkwater Crossing are included]. If there happens to be an NPC you want to see changed to the way you like it and happen to be in the area I mentioned above, feel free to link me the jslot file with who you have in mind [pretty please]. I'll upload the mod on the Nexus when it's done and I'll definitely credit whoever who assisted in the preset department. Here's an example in case you want one. [Preset file here] Name of NPC: NPC Location: (Not necessary) Mods required: Don't forget to list out any mods I may need [warpaint, freckles, beard, etc] Any help is deeply appreciated. Edit: NPCs that reside in Whiterun, The Reach, Haafingar, and anywhere else not mentioned in the above paragraph has already been completed. That said, criminal-type NPCs, typically named bandits and crime lords like the Silver-bloods, Ancano and anyone in the Forsworn are still open though it will take a while before I even get there (they will be covered in my other mod).
  6. As the title suggests, I have several questions regarding this particular mod. The posts on the original page seem to have died out and the author himself seem to have abnadoned the mod altogether,so I thought I could try my luck here and hopefully have some questions answered. Now what I know from the mod from both the description and testing is that you have to find a corpse, bring it back, skin it, repair the bones and then animate it. And you'll get a permanent skeleton follower to its death. But it comes at a price which will corrupt your soul, making you more susceptible to disease, decrease your speech and more. What I want to know is, 1. Is the soul corruption permanent? Do they stack? And is there anyway to negate this? Because the description says those adept in dark magic can negate this, and even then it's very loose on what it actually means. 2. Certain repair materials like the scrap metal and catgut can only be obtained by the merchant in College of Winterhold. Is this item even on the leveled list and where else can I find these items? 3. Some bodies I find that are over 20+ levels are unable to be animated with the message "Your necromancy skills are not sufficient enough to use this body". Are they referring to my conjuration skill, a perk, or their own hidden necromancy skill system? 4. I have mods like Apocalypse that give new spells, one such spell is the Azure reconstruction, which heals undead or summons at the cost of your stamina. The thing is, your undead is unable to be healed by either that or the heal other spell. Any workaround for this? 5. The limit is 3. As it's pretty time consuming to even get a single body working and adding to the fact that they can't be healed in mid combat, is there a way to at least increase their limit via SSE Edit or Creation Kit? 6. There are some petty good number of necromancy related mods out there. How well does Corpse Preparation play with other mods out there? As I recall, Undeath and Path of the Revenant play wells with each other. What of mods like Psikotics Necromancy mod or fairly new The Dark Arts? Do they work together? I just hope that whoever once used this mod before or is using this mod can help provide some insight for me who just started using this really cool mod. That is all for now :D
  7. An add=on to an existing popular mod: PC Head Tracking [https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11993?tab=posts&BH=0] A few good ones I thought of would be Aloy's voice set from Horizon: Zero Dawn, Kassandra from Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Lara Croft from Tomb Raider (three games worth of voices to choose from).
  8. Glad you liked it! And maybe to trigger their initial attacks you need to do something to anger them. Like stealing a kill from their contracts. Like what you did with Grelod. Two different people putting a contract on the same person and now we have assassins clashing in the dark :D And since the Morag Tong is from Morrowind, the chances of getting attacked by them increases measurably in Solstheim.
  9. Here's a mod that I think would spice up the Dark Brotherhood to make it stand out from "just a guild". In tradition, the Listener is the highest rank any Dark Brotherhood assassin can hope to achieve, who would then fill in the Speaker to dispatch the contract to an assassin. However, in the game, it seems that you will play all three roles. What I was hoping for, whether Oldrim or SE, is for a mod that allows you to act as the Listener, basically doing what Astrid did before you came along. Recruiting potential assassins (custom followers would fit here nicely), listening to Night Mother's words and handing the jobs out to everyone who lives in the sanctuary (including Babette) and then keeping the gold earned while giving them a cut of the profit. That would be the most basic function of the mod. If possible, more features could be added later down the road to make the mod totally unique. For example, a personal Dark Brotherhood courier or messenger only for your discreet dealings. They would not report any crime you committed and would only pass the message when there isn't anyone around. And then, a display of all your assassins personal stats, records, perks, and such. It could even display an assigned assassin's chance to fail (which can be negated if you come along). Of course if you personally train an assassin, follow him on every contract and let him successfully do his job everytime, he would improve his skills and at some point, become a very competent member who can succeed any contract easily. This means that even Alvor can become a legendary assassin if you train him well. Something like an RPG within and RPG. And then, if your assassins get caught, they will be executed if you don't save them within the time limit, either by paying their bounty, breaking them out old school style, or "supplying" them with tools to escape if they're competent enough. Characters like Nazir and Cicero, or any initiate who has achieved legendary status, can always escape on their own however. And then, maybe more unique contracts just for you like the assassination of a dremora where you have to find a way to enter the plane of oblivion to kill it for example. Or another where both Vignar Gray-mane and Olfrid Battle-born hired you to kill the other. And last but not least, options to expand beyond your sanctuary. You could capture any bandit hideout, forts or ruins and turn them into outposts. Each comes with their own weaknesses and strengths. Forts for example, could offer better protection and escape exits, but also has a higher chance to attract unwanted attention. You can even assign who to keep watch of the area. An extension to the previous paragraph's unwanted attention, you'll face attacks from numerous factions like the vengeful Penitus Oculatus agents, rival assassin groups like the Morag Tong, and then harassments from Dawnguard, Vigils of Stendarr or Silver Hand if you have a supernatural member with a high bounty, and even the Stormcloaks or Legionnaires if you happen to mess with their forts. If anyone has some interesting additional ideas feel free to throw them in here. If more people take interest the chance for a mod to take off would increase.
  10. Would like to add another: Duke Patrick's Archery - H2H - Heavy - Light Weapons Combat While not really abandoned, it is one of the most ambitious combat overhauls I have ever seen but it still runs worse alone than my modded as hell setup. Needless to say the coding isn't that great but with help from professional coders it would be one of the most revolutionary mods to date.
  11. Would be nice too if you could persuade Ulfric or Tullius to join your cause, needing a high speech check, their disposition towards you, your rank in their army, and the guarantee of their position (Ulfric only) as High King while you become the true Emperor of Tamriel.
  12.  Tweaks to the skinny dippers, would be easy. Just change them to Argonians. The Human / Reptile half-breed species, could enjoy the heat. Animals and other creatures, wouldn't need changes to scripts. Up North, the water kills my character quickly. But everything else, both human and animal is unaffected.  So the same thing could be done with the warmer climates water, just in reverse, and at the same speed.  Aka... reverse the ice cold water mechanics, from Frostfall.    Instead of Alcohol to warm you, have water to cool you.     New mechanic, water loss, due to sweating. At zero, you die. Adding a thirst meter, below the wetness meter.    Thirst  Hydrated ------------------------- Normal ------------------------ Parched ======================================    Temperature  Hot ------------------------------- Normal ------------------------------ Cold ======================================    Games that use the Hot / Cold mechanics...  I play Minecraft, with the mod Tough as Nails ( sadly discontinued now ). It does all that, along with Seasons.  Something, that has only one mod doing in Skyrim, but isn't really used.  A game called Ark, has has heat and cold mechanics, that are perfect.  Conan Exiles, does heat and cold perfectly. Although, its a pain, when my favourite outfits are too hot or too cold for certain areas.   Still, I love the mechanic of it.    Imagine how much it would add to Skyrim, if you had to change your attire for various locations. It would add immersion, unless you like  just playing Skyrim in the arcade style, of Vanilla Skyrim.  If in real-life, you go anywhere. You often have to take off some of your clothes, along with your coat, or add more clothes, or put on a coat. As the weather or location changes.    The mock-up above, would be enough for a meter in the game. It would just need a add-on for Frostfall to be made.  Something, that is beyond my skills in modding. Hah nice. Argonian could make a good substitute. And perhaps the only race that could handle the heat would be the argonians, khajiits and the redguards. Your mod seems to be well thought out. I can clearly see it happening at some point if you try contacting the mod author of Frostfall. Who knows maybe he'll be interested. I have a lot more to say but I gotta stop here for now. Work, etc xD
  13. PS: please excuse the grammar error. The autocorrect loves to alter my words lol
  14. From what I can tell, it's very obvious the mod author has already been long inactive (for three years now). It's a mod that allows you to play as join the Knights of the Garter, an old and historical order that still exists today in England. It comes with a castle north of Rorikstead, barons, peasants, horse stables, Knight weapons, customizable Knight steed, and even jousting or knightly duels. It's a really well polished mod that would be a shame to leave as an Oldrim exclusive. So I implore to whoever is talented out there, please consider porting this over so thamaybe next generation of Skyrim owners can enjoy this mod as well :D Link to the mod page: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57489/?tab=posts
  15. But I disagree with the heat of the eastern area. We can clearly see hunters taking a skinny dip in the springs so it's most likely just perfect in the sense of soothing. I would argue that the plains of Whiterun is the most likely for overheating to occur, since: 1. There isn't that many rivers going about, 2. The plains are riddled with nothing but grass 3. My installation of several flora overhaul mods seem to make the plains of Whiterun give off a Savannah vibe. Other places could be the streets of Markarth, Shor's Stone, Whiterun itself, and most mines.
  16. I like the concept! But at the same time I fear it may get really complicated or lag a lot due to heavy scripts. Still, it would work well as an add-on since most of the assets you need would in Frost fall already.
  17. Ever get that feeling that you want to stop your combat with a dungeon boss or questline antagonist to take some epic snapshots of your battle? But while your PC looks pretty badass in his/her robes and fabulous hair, Ancano on the other hand... looks like crap. This is one mod that I've never seen take flight. We have Bijin, Pandorable & Ordinary Women for the ladies and Better Males for the men. What about the dungeon bosses? The villains? Malkoran the Meridian temple defiler, The Caller, Movarth the ancient vampire, Kematu the Alik'r, Ghunzul, keeper of the Razor, etc etc. Maybe even Ulfric and Tullius based on who's side you're on. And let's not forget the Thalmor interrogator in the Thalmor Embassy. Is there anyone out there willing to attempt this?
  18. In my experience you just gotta be patient and let it load slowly. And yes sometimes it can even take 30 minutes but it shouldn't be that long if you have a reliable PC. Mine isn't.
  19. Gonna binge here too. Anywhere I go is fine, except the damn Ragged Flagon.
