  1. Whenever I'm around Solitude, saving my game leads to an instant CTD. I've tried other areas; Whiterun, Morthal, a few dungeons, etc, no other places seem to do it other than around the Solitude area, e.g Solitude Sawmill, Highreach Keep. This makes the game unplayable (or at least around Solitude) as entering any building autosaves and thus crashes. This is on Skyrim: Legendary Edition, so I have all the DLCs, and I'm fairly sure I have the official and unofficial patches. I'm using an Alienware 15 laptop, 16GB of RAM, 4GB VRAM, Intel i7-4720HQ CPU, 2.60Ghz. 64 bit OS, Windows 10. Skyrim is located in: F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\commonsquared\steamapps\common\skyrim (Don't ask how this happened, some problems with Steam) I'm using Nexus Mod Manager to install mods and Mod Organiser to enable/disable them and to launch SKSE. My pretty long load order: I'm not using all of these mods, this is just what LOOT came up with. So I finished the Battle for Whiterun quest and I saved just outside of Whiterun. It works fine. Then I needed to go to Solitude to report to General Tullius, so I fast travel to Solitude and try to enter the castle, and my game crashes. I try again, fast travelling to Solitude, but this time I quicksave in front of the castle entrance, and as soon as I hit F5 my game crashes. So it's saving that's the issue. What's strange is that it only occurs in certain areas. I fast travelled to different locations between Whiterun and Solitude, I try Whiterun Farm, Bleakwind Basin, and Morthal. Saving in these areas work fine. I then try Solitude Sawmill. Saving there crashes. Same with Highreach Keep, Katlas Farm, and inside Solitude of course. I haven't tried any other cities yet and I hope there isn't any others like this. There are other posts for crashing on saving but none seemed to have worked. I tried these solutions from this post: https://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/540731690766780373/ 1. Load an older save (as long as it doesn't have CTD on save glitch, then load it) 2. Create a NEW save (through pause menu) 3. Type in player.kill 4. Load your latest save (the one that had CTD glitch) 5. Type in player.kill 6. Try saving (I usually just use quicksave) I've also tried changing uExterior Cell Buffer to 24 in the Skyrim.inis. Anyone who can offer any alternatives, please help!
