  1. Hi all, I haven't been able to find anything about this from googling, and I'm at a loss. For the longest time, using the console in Skyrim I could get information about whatever object I targeted (base ID, ref ID, its name, a bunch of other info). There would be about a paragraph of info in the bottom right-hand corner. Now for some reason I can't get that information, just a single ID at the top of the console with no indication of what exactly I've even targeted (is it a tree? is it an animated effect?), and from googling it sounds like this is actually how Skyrim normally functions?! I recently deactivated several mods, but none of them should have had anything to do with this. Is there some kind of toggle I somehow switched? Thanks in advance!
  2. so I started a fight with a dragon at the top of Rannveig's Fast. I was using a pillar for cover but it was too small to be effective, so I scampered down the steps to a better spot. I got a CTD, which happens once in a while. But when I reloaded and went to the same spot I got it again, and after shutting down, waiting a while and restarting the same thing happened. It's definitely a problem with that particular spot. I have a stable set-up and this has never been an issue, it's driving me nuts. Any ideas?
  3. Most Nords assumed the dragons were only a legend...until a real, fire-breathing dragon was spotted flying west of Whiterun. No one had seen a dragon for thousands of years. Can a dragon even be killed? Was this the beginning of the End Times? As people began to flee the city, wondering if the Jewel of the North would soon be razed to the ground, a small band of the Jarl's men went the opposite way towards the setting sun. Led by the Housecarl Irileth and accompanied by a mysterious stranger, they were ready to face almost certain death to keep their families safe. When against all odds they returned, they were singing songs of triumph. In the shadow of civil war, against the looming threat of the dragons' return, a new hero had arisen: the mysterious stranger had slain the beast, and what's more, she had absorbed its power! She was Dragonborn, a mortal born with the soul of a dovah and the strength to carry the hope of Skyrim's people! The people of Whiterun thought that was pretty OK. They went about their business, some of them stopping to say hello to the Last Dragonborn, who by her honor would swear to keep evil forever at bay. Sinmir complained about the sloppiness of the city guards. Sigurd continued to let everyone know that he worked for Belethor at the general goods store. Carlotta Valentia hawked her fresh fruits and vegetables as the savior of the city, kin to both wyrm and the races of man, with a power to rival the sun, jogged past. So my mod idea is for a scripted feast at Dragonsreach, after the Dragonborn saves one of Skyrim's biggest cities from apocalyptic terror. You get a quest to go to the palace in the evening, where most of Whiterun's NPCs will be partying like they have a new lease on life, spilling mead and dancing on tables while Mikael and Jon Battle-Born get down with lutes & flutes. Jon announces that he has composed a new song, and proceeds to perform "The Dragonborn Comes" for the pleasure of Jarl Balgruuf and his new Thane. Everyone gets to treat themselves to a choice cut of steak or a tender rack of ribs, Grey-Manes are drinking with Battle-Borns, and Brenuin gets to drink himself under the table. Sigurd gets hammered and tells everyone about how he works for Belethor at the general goods store. A mod like this would have a huge impact on the feel of the game, really immersing the player as the Great Big Hero who saves the day in Skyrim's darkest hour. Put on the "Song of the Dragonborn" and just think about it...dovahkiin, dovahkiin, naal ok zin los vahriin!...
  4. I have a similar issue. I just installed on new computer with a heavily modded setup and the mods seem to be working fine, so I'm not going from a clean install like the OP. I'm also not seeing the jerky movement or horses clipping through the terrain, but they are moving too fast. Ralof says "I don't know where we're going, but Sovngarde awaits" right about when the carts are stopping in Helgen, and then the carts sit there awkwardly while they go through the rest of the opening scene dialogue. Once everyone starts stepping off the carts, everything seems mostly fine but a little rushed, like there isn't enough time between dialogue. I've played just a couple minutes through Helgen and I've gotten a couple CTDs, so something is wrong. I've followed the instructions for STEP:Extended, including the instructions for the .ini files (including ENBlocal.ini). From what I've read elsewhere this problem comes from the framerate being too high?
  5. I'm in the same boat as the last commenter, I would love to get a link to download this mod. and best wishes for the author
