With all this talk of influences from other Bethesda titles and mods, it boggles my mind that the devs nerfed the "hardcore" mode from New Vegas. Hunger/sleep/thirst mods have been some of the most widely used modifications from both Oblivion and Fallout 3, and yet it's one area of gameplay that has been conspicuously overlooked in Skyrim. What I find even more baffling is that despite this, the devs took the time to build a complex crafting system that includes cooking. Why cook if you don't need to eat? After all, anyone who wants consumables that heal HP is better off practising alchemy.
