  1. God it actually worked. For real thank you so much, you have no idea how much headache you just saved me.
  2. Hey Nexus, so as the title says, this is probably about my 15th time fully modding a Bethesda title going all the way back to Oblivion and I cannot for the life of me figure out what is wrong. So essentially what is happening is this; I'm trying to play a heavily modded Fallout 4 Playthrough, and as I started downloading and activating mods, I would double check in game that it was all working fine and had no CTDs. I would always just load up one of my original very lightly modded saves from when the game first came out. And while adding all these new mods, my old saves still worked. So I assumed that making a new game would work too. But, after fully modding my game to my liking, I went to make a new game, and everything was going smoothly; Character Creation, no huge lag spikes, ENB looked okay, and then when the scene came where you and your family are lowered into the Vault, my game immediately crashes. Thinking how odd that is, I went and loaded up one of my old saves and that still worked fine. So I downloaded some nice looking save files where the character was just waiting to exit the Vault and still, crash. So I went around, disabling mods, removing folders, and I oddly found the root of the problem. If I removed my meshes and texture folders from my game folders, any new save would work. But when I put them back in, the game would crash again. Old saves from previous playthroughs would work regardless of the location of the meshes and textures. So my first instinct was that I must have too many graphic intensive mods. So I went and uninstalled pretty much every single retexture mod I had. Still no luck. I'm at a loss for words here, I'm really not too sure what would be causing this. Maybe I'm just being stupid and it's a simple fix. I will attach some basic info too in case that helps. *Before I list all my info, a side note might help, not sure if it's the cause. So originally before I got into heavily modding this playthrough, when I went to install and activate Weaponsmith Extended, it would crash my game upon opening any of the main menu dialogs likes, New, Continue, Load, etc. Not sure what all that was about so I temporarily disabled all Weaponsmith Extended files and that part of the game stopped crashing. Not sure if that has an impact or not but I thought I'd add it just in case. F4SE installed, ENB previously installed but deleted in case it was the cause of the crashing, LOOT used, Bodyslide used PC Specs: Load Order (A little different due to files uninstalled because of Weaponsmith Extended problem mentioned earlier: I would really appreciate any help on this because I would really not want to have to completely start from scratch again. Thanks guys!
  3. LOOT is always a nice place to start, it can help you sort your load order for you. You can also look into FO4Edit to make a patch. And a side note, you have a lot of weapon esps enabled that you don't need since you have Weaponsmith Extended. I'd check there again if I were you
  4. So I was curious, if it would be at all be possible to have the option to set your "Tracking Centre" files across the Nexus mod pages to Categorized, depending on the category it falls under on the website. For instance, instead of searching through this amount of files: I can simply just search through the category files as if I was searching the actual categorized files like the pages have already. Yes I am aware there is a Search bar but sometimes through all 39 pages of mods I can't remember what it's called but I know what it's about, and that way I can look in the category which should narrow it down by A LOT. Now I'm not suggesting this is how it should be changed overall, maybe just an option, under the "Manage Tracked Files" option? Let me know what you guys think!
  5. Hey there, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with an issue I've been having! So I am trying to get this preset working for the Ningheim race, here is the link to that: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69111/? I currently have Racemenu running correctly, no CharGen Extension or NetOverride installed, and I have placed the JSLOT file from the download page into the folder you see in this screenshot: And to my knowledge, from this I am starting a new game and all I have to do is set my race to Nord and go to the Presets tab and the ASD should be there but it isn't, all it says is, "CharGen Presets Unavailable". I tried loading them but still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated and if more information or things like load order is needed let me know!
  6. Uninstall (If you have either or both): chargen extension netimmerse override Then Install: Racemenu, Optional file called Loose Base Script 3-1-0 Lemme know if that helps
  7. Sorry for the delayed response. I've actually been disabling and enabling lots of mods trying to figure out what the heck is causing it, but no such luck. I installed all of my mods in bulk, so I really can't tell which ones I downloaded last and even if that would affect it at all. I'm at a loss here, do you see anything specifically in that load order that is a conflict? I've been enabling and disabling for the past week or so with no luck so far.
  8. Jimmyjojo is right, you cannot talk to NPCs when wearing a hood or a mask, sometimes default items or sometimes added by mods. My suggestion: Keep the item favorited and take it off when you need to talk and put it on when you are adventuring
  9. Ah yeah that makes sense as it would have to have been something that Steam did. No problem man, keep gamin'~
  10. What do you mean you removed NVAC? Are you removing the nvac.dll from the plugins folder? Also, if you are performing bad in F3 you can try: http://www.hialgo.com/Downloads.html HiAlgo has some amazing stuff, a simple click and it will run your game a lot faster, usually. I recommend the boost.
  11. Are you running any animation altering mods? Custom race mods? It would be nice to see your load order and I might be able to see an incompatibility you've got that could be causing it.
  12. To both of you: I assume that you are running Steam versions of the game. What you need to do is open Steam and go to your library. When you find Fallout New Vegas, right click and go to properties. UNTICK the box that says: Enable the Steam Overlay while in game. For some reasons sometimes FNV does not play well with Steam and any time you get a notification or message thru Steam, the game will make itself transparent. What causes this is beyond me, but I used to have the problem myself and I realized that any time someone would message me or invite me to a game it would happen and then after a short while it would stop doing it. As for the blocky trees and bushes, what you can do is go into your root game folder, and go into the texture and meshes folder and go to the trees, and also the landscape folders and delete any files that are bushes or trees. It will revert them back to the base New Vegas look, but at least they wont be blocks. But then again, I have never had the blocky tree problem so maybe it is in part by the steam overlay issue, so try disabling that both of you and coming back and telling me what happened.
  13. Do you have Unified HUD installed? Also, how did you install UIO, manually or with a mod manager?
  14. Did you start this game from a Project Brazil play-through or the regular Fallout New Vegas using Alternative Start? It might be that you need to do a clean up of either alternative start, or Project Brazil and start a fresh new game. It might be that the game is still thinking you want to have a Project Brazil play-through hence the random teleporting. I'm gonna copy a section that the Project Brazil author wrote for you: You either have MMUE, A performance mod, an alternate start, or some other mod messing with an alternate start up quest that uses the same VG00 script. Find it, and kill it. Didn't work? Try this: [X] FalloutNV.esm [X] ProjectBrazil.esm Test it that way to see if it runs for you. If that fails Localizations may be at fault, PB was built with english [uS] version. Switch your version in Steam, and it should work if you are on another language version. Some Performance mods, like New Vegas Stutter Remover and Mission Mojave cause crashes. Mission Mojave has a patch, NVSR does not. Try turning them on and off again. If it runs, turn your mods back on one at a time and post which mod was causing the conflict here, so we can warn others. Also, make sure you install this as a FOMOD archive, using NMM or FOMOD. It'll make installing/uninstalling much easier and keep your installation clean.
  15. Since you are new to modding you can try this out, don't know if it will help: Go through each of those plugins that you see, start at the bottom and just click that last one once, so it is highlighted. Over to the right a bit where it has a small desc. of the mod and the author, there will be a section that has masters listed. Mods will crash your game unless that master file is there to run it. What you need to do is go through each mod and make sure you see the master files it asks for somewhere else on that list of mods. You have a lot of packs with WMX and EVE containing all DLC present, and sometimes each of these packs are expecting the respective mod to have individual compatibility patches for the DLC and not an overall patch. Let me know if this fixes your problem or if it doesn't make sense.
  16. Well from what I see you have the Sprint Mod and the PerkEveryLevel mod, which is already handled by Project Nevada. I remember reading up on PN and somewhere it said that you should not have mods installed that do the same function as one of it's settings, or it might mess with the game a bit. Also, Project Brazil is not supposed to run at the same time as AlternativeStart mod or mods like Stutter Remover. Read up on the Project Brazil page for more incompatibilities but from what I see that might help.
  17. Did you install the lastest stable version, or the beta build? JIP CC requires the beta (4.6) build IIRC. Does the mod page come up in your MCM at all? I do know that JIP CC has a setting to actually nullify the companion wheel and to simply rely on pressing "p" (By default) to open up the controls. Also, between your two play sessions did you add any other mods at all?
  18. Hello there, thanks for stopping by. I've ran into an oddity in my latest play through of Fallout:New Vegas. With all the F4 hype going around I thought I'd give it a shot. But this weird issue is happening. Essentially what happens is that when I leave an interior and enter an exterior, everything around me is gone but the ground itself and grass. I can load up a save inside or outside a building just fine, but when I enter a new worldspace and go back outside I lose it all. I will go ahead and explain a scenario and then post some screenshots and my load order. Lets say I load my game and I am in the Goodsprings General Store. I leave, and enter Goodsprings. I run around, talk to some NPCs, etc. I then enter the Prospector Saloon. Upon leaving the Prospector Saloon, I enter an empty area, like I really am in the middle of the desert! Here is an example of before I enter the Mojave Outpost: And here is an image after I enter and then leave: Here is my load order: Please any help would be greatly appreciated! I am baffled by this game breaking bug :/
  19. You my friend, are a hero. I give you 1 internet cookie. Thanks so much! It was a really simple fix wasn't it? xD It just didn't make sense in my head to to 'disable' something related to Parallax.
  20. Hello all! First I just want to say thank you very much for setting this system of Questions and Answers, it is very helpful. Essentially the issue I am having is a parallax effect. So my issue pertains to a 'visual bug' I guess I can call it? Well it may not be a bug since it's most likely a problem on my end, buy anyhow: most ground textures, meaning the 'floors' outside, all have parts to them that literally track my player's movements. The effect looks similar to me falling thru solid ground. At first I thought I could just ignore the problem and I wouldn't notice, but once I ventured further, it applies to almost every ground texture that isn't plain green grass. Here are some examples of what I mean. Here are just some of the mods I have installed that could possibly be causing this that I feel necessary to relay to you guys. If need be, I can send my full load order. Skyrim HD - 2K Textures Vivid Landscapes - All in One Tamriel Reloaded - Textures and Parallax 4K Parllax Skyrim by Pfuscher aka Zerwas1 Skyrim 2015 Parallax Terrain SPT tamu75 Terrain Parallax Textures My ENB is: Specific Perfection ENB In my enbseries.ini, under the [Fix] category, I have the following lines: FixParallaxBugs=true FixParallaxTerrain=true In my enblocal.ini, under the [Fix] category, I have the following lines: FixParallaxBugs=trueFixParallaxTerrain=true Any and every bit of help or advice would be appreciated very much! Thanks guys!
  21. Nothing. Still stuck halfway in the ground. I tried other NPCs as well, and I also tried "coc goodsprings", nothing either.
  22. So here's more to it: I have a level 10 I believe character and have a plethora of mods installed, and I will be posting my loadorder and photos if needed. Now, when I try to load and save from this character, I'm stuck in the ground, I literally can't move. I tried "`" and "tcl", but all this does lets me move vertically, meaning I can't make any ground. I have tried opening my pip-boy but I cannot see it. I can't jump, run, crouch, go in 3rd person, nothing. I have tried loading earlier saves, nothing either. But, if I make a new character, that one is fine, which tells me it's something with this character. Please comment if you need screenshots or load-orders, and thank you for any help
