  1. Hi folks. thank you for the hard work! I have a couple related mod requests. I know there are alternate start mods - but I am specifically hoping for two that don't skip Helgen and don't put me somewhere else. Hot Off the Cart - just skips the wagon ride & starts right after dropping to the ground. Then it would play the sequence normally, including character creation. I think this is what most people would like, if they are playing desktop. It would be cool to have a mod installer for Vortex with the option "Don't bend down to the block" Hot Off the Block - starts you with character creation at the chopping block. After character creation you don't bend over to the block. but Alduin still roars and you see all that. Then it would play the rest of Helgen normally. I think this is what folks playing with VR would like the most, because if you use VRIK, etc., bending down to the block doesn't work right and breaks immersion. Patches for other Helgen mods would be cool - I think there is one that adds more survivors to Helgen, and that sounded fun. Thanks!
  2. Hi, just looking for a simple immersion mod. I use Immersive First Person View: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49036/? With this mod you can look down while sitting. It occurred to me, it would be cool if after a moment this brought up the sleep menu. iNeeds integration would be cool as well, so you don't get as good rest in chairs. Maybe it could also force you to drift off if you are tired enough.
  3. I use mods that let me add anyone as a follower. Unfortunately there are very few appealing NPCs who have actual names and aren't tied up in quests or whatever. I'd love a mod that actually gives all the nameless NPCs some sort of identity. At the very least they could use their own unique names. It would also be great if everyone carried/wore personal effects like jewelry, letters, books, etc. Ideally they would have schedules where they eat and sleep, if they don't already, and maybe some could do characteristic things. For example, certain guards taking drinking and shopping breaks, hovering around a love interest or seeking out solitude behind a building. Certain bandits could visit towns and not fight with people there; they'd visit temples or check out the market, or maybe also do bandit things like sneak around, follow people, break into houses, steal unimportant items, etc. If you talked to a bandit and said "You're a bandit, aren't you?" they'd then either run for it or attack you for blowing their cover. I'd love if some bandits were painted as being poor; they could beg, have no money, carry rotten food, etc. Maybe certain guards could be linked to certain bandits for quests; the guards would give you bounties for bandits like "find the Argonian woman" or "find the Imperial man," then the bandits might ask for your help or something? Flip-side, a bandit could ask you to distract/take out a guard who's been on his tail. Linked guards/bandits would attack each other on sight and their fellow guards/bandits would join in. I'd reference more than guards and bandits, but that's all I've encountered thus far (I'm only in Whiterun!). Thanks
  4. I'm playing with Realistic Needs and it's just way too easy to get food in Skyrim! I really wish that at least farms would own their crops, so you can't go pick 10 billion cabbage up. EDIT: Wow, I need to do a better search next time. I had just searched "farms" but didn't find anything; turns out searching "crops" yielded exactly what I wanted: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/28452//?
  5. Hi everyone, thanks for your time. I'm poking male nude mod meshes in Blender, doing research as I would like to make my own. I was wondering if anyone knew why the genitals had a separate mesh not part of the main body mesh. Is that just to make it easy to swap out and compose the different versions in the modeling program? I tried to message Chris57 but it said he couldn't receive messages. I'd like to know if I can just combine the meshes. Or, it would be cool if they could be swapped in-game like hairstyles and beards. Is that possible? I have several ideas on how to use such a capability. Thanks! EDIT: Does swapping in-game have something to do with bodyparts numbers? http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Skyrim_bodyparts_number Can we add new numbers? Or use existing ones for new purposes?
  6. Noob to Pro is incredibly frustrating to use with 2.49b, as it's now been updated to later versions. If you want directions for 2.49b, you have to go into the history of each page and hunt down the right version. Especially problematic as the buttons window has been completely changed, as well as some hotkeys.
