Nexus Mods Profile

  1. Hi all, Complete noobie here. I've just started modding vanilla textures in Photoshop after watching a few YouTube tutorials, my aim is to give my game a Last of Us kind of vibe by adding moss and vines to roads, sidewalks, bridges, etc. I'm only using brushes and am saving my textures with the NVIDIA plugin. I'm only modding landscape and architecture for now. I've loaded a few into the game so far, but before I go any further, I just have a few questions that I'm struggling to find answers to and would really appreciate any feedback. First, why are DDS files in 3 parts (ending in _d, _n, _s)? I've edited Asphalt01_d but left the other 2 alone. It's working so far, but am I supposed to do anything with the other 2, and are there any consequences to deleting them? I've had a look at them in PS and I'm guessing it's something to do with transparency, but I'm reluctant to touch them. Second, I've read about texture compression on modders pages in the past. I intend to mod a lot of textures, so is this something I should be doing? I've CTD a few times this morning, but I did change my load order last night, I've disabled all mods for now and no CTD since. On the other hand, I did notice some stutter in Sanctuary after I put in my new road texture which I've never had before. Lastly, besides extracting textures into my Data folder, editing them and overwriting them, are there any important steps that I'm missing? I dunno, I just get the feeling that I'm doing something wrong. Again, any feedback or tips would be massively appreciated. Cheers.
  2. Hi again  i7-7700k GTX 1080 Ti Gigabyte AORUS Z270X-Gaming 7 16GB Corsair VENGEANCE 500GB Samsung 850 EVO 2.5" SSD AOC AGON AG271QX 27" Freesync Gaming Monitor I've just downloaded the Scorched Earth mod from the Nexus, one of my favourite landscape mods from when I played on Xbox and voila, same problem! Small stutter and flicker onscreen when moving the camera, it's almost as if the screen is stitching itself together like a panorama. Whatever it is, big mods to the environment of any kind seem to be the culprit. I've tweaked every setting imaginable in the NVIDIA control panel, doesn't make any difference. Do you think it could be something to do with my monitor? I'll try and download an older version of NMM in the mean time, thanks!
  3. I've uploaded a short clip of the stutter and flicker issue. It's way more noticeable in game and it's driving me crazy. It only happens with green mods like Regrowth and Nuclear Reloaded, even though I'm getting 60fps same as vanilla. I took off the ENB and it's still doing it. If I don't find a fix I'll just have to remove the mod entirely. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTD4_zIbFzM
  4. Hey, Yeah, I do. I've also noticed that in darker wooded areas with tall grass, I seem to get a subtle, white flash whenever I move. It's annoying as hell. I removed the grass with the tg command and it disappeared. I have a feeling that the green mod could be causing these issues.
  5. Hey everyone, I have Photorealistic Commonwealth ENB and NAC installed. All is well apart from these annoying, sudden changes in lighting that occur when I move the camera ever so slightly in another direction (left, right, up or down). I move the camera back to its original position and the lighting returns to normal. I've read through reports for both mods but I'm still stuck. It's not a huge deal but it does kind of break the immersion. So, has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it?
