You need to use FNVEdit to find the conflicts.
-
Posting your mod list and its order would be a good start.
-
My folder structure is C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas if that's any help.
-
Youtube is a good place to start.
-
You need to go back and check that the mods are compatible with the latest patch. You might need to load them one by one to find the culprit.
-
You'll need to be a lot more specific as to what's happening.
What files did you download?
How did you install them.
Are you using FOMM?
-
whenever i try to add somthing in prefs i try to save it and it says acsess denide
Make sure the file is not marked Read Only
-
I don't use NMM but the only thing I can think of is that the file where your mods list is saved is ticked read only.
Check the plugins file. It is usually LOCAL_SETTINGS\Application Data\Skyrim\plugins.txt
-
I've added "bEnableFileSelection=1" to both SkyrimPrefs.ini. I've copied my SkyrimPrefs.ini in Programs(x86) to the one in My Games. That Data Files selection at the game launch is not grayed out. It contains only Skyrim.esm.
I'm using Mod Manager. It is writing the files from the mods to mesh and texture files under data. I cant get any mods to show up. I've installed : A Quality World Map, and ADEC Nocturnal Robe Replacer/Acdale EyeCandy Body ADEC . I tried them manually as well.
I don't get any error messages, it just does not do anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Only .esp and .esm files will show in the launcher. If what you are adding is just a texture mod then nothing is going to show.
-
Locate the file C:\Users\{your user name}\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\SkyrimPrefs.ini. Open it and search for the [Launcher] section. Add this line: "bEnableFileSelection=1" (without quotes)
Courtesy of "Volek" from his Readme for his mod "Longer Sprinting". I dont know if he was the one who actually found it but I have copied the text from his Readme so i credit him.
so when you do this in your skyrim luancher the data section becomes available then open it and mark ALL of them. this will make them work
swett baby jessus thank you !
it worked !!!
if you were here i would hug ang kiss you man OR woman
XD
Unfortunately, my Nightingale retex - Black Sacrament - craftable ninja armor - Black Sacrament Armor Pack Version 2-7 still doesn't work...
Dovakin Hideout and JaySuS Swords - JaySuS Swords V12 as well...
Pleeeeeeeeeeease, someone help!!!
Just unzip the files and make sure the textures and/or meshes folder are placed into your Data directory. you should be good to go.
-
I'm not sure what the problem is unfortunately. All texture mods I have used have always worked.
There must be someone who has had the same issue as you. I can only suggest sitting back and spending some time with the Search ;)
-
You need to supply a bit more information.
When you did a manual install what exactly did you do?
Textures re usually the easiest of mods to install.
Did you unzip the files?
Did you make certain that the Textures and/or Meshes files went into the Data folder?
-
You need to tell us which mod this is.
Did you place the textures and meshes in the correct directories?
-
you also need to talk to the temple of mara guy in riften before marriage becomes possible.
This.

I don't know if it was a placebo effect but Skyboost seemed to help me out somewhat with my bottleneck issues.
-
As far as I'm aware they should just work when you use it.
If you want to resurrect an NPC just hit their body with it. I think the arc lightning is a bit iffy as to when or if it works.
-
I deleted that one and Skyrim made another upon startup and kept the tweaks inside the myGames prefs.ini and still nothing is taking effect.
Not that I recommend it at all, but it seems my Skyrim runs fine without it, anyways I restored it, because I was wrong, my Skyrim did NOT create another, I was looking at the my games .ini
Anyways, problem still lies as it was. I still can't get any of the changes to take effect in game that I applied in my mygames skyrimprefs.ini
I can only suggest that once you have made your changes that you then make the ini readable only just in case it is somehow reverting to default.

after hearing this "king" is inside cidhna mine i wanted to go there by myself, theres no way i want to get arrested cuz of some corrupt city
- from UESPwikiThe console command will unlock it, but it won't open. If you fight the guards, the 2nd door will open, but the 1st door won't be targetableis there a mod that could "open" the door normally?
I'd say that disabling collision detection and walking through the bars is your best bet then.
-
So I downloaded "Toggle UI" (http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2204) and script dragon but it started to really lag my game. I uninstalled both if them but niw my compass is gone. I still have my crosshairs and hp bars but no compass or quest markers.
I edited the Skyrimprefs.ini file in the skyrim/skyrim folder but that didn't help. Any suggestions?
All changes should be made in the My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Skyrimprefs.ini
-
Open the console then click on the door. Type in unlock
Does that work?
You could also open console and remove collision detection by typing in tcl
Type it again to re enable collision detection.
Not sure why you want to do it though as there isn't anything in there worth seeing other than for doing the quest line.

You have deleted a txt file from your Interface folder.
Right click on the game in your Steam library and select "Properties", a box will pop up, click on the local files tab then finally hit the "Verify integrity of game cache" button, this will replace any missing, incorrect or broken files.

They use FOMM and TESnip - see the post I linked which has a list of tutorials on this.
Can't use FOMM because I don't have Fallout 3 or New Vegas and it asks for location. Need to find the function to redirect so it does not ask. But CBA to do that now. It's late.
Right click on a BSA file and have it associated with FOMM. Then when you double click the BSA file it will be opened using FOMM. You don't need Fallout.

Not yet. I think the CK is needed for that.
New vegas don't start
