  1. In simplest terms: No.

     

    Delving into complex matters: No, Oblibion's game engine doesn't allow that sort of thing. Playable races use the same set of body meshes. Playing as something very different involves a script auto-equpping a suit of armor onto the player, and even that is usually bipedal, because extremely unsual shapes (like a tree) look bloody weird using the palyer's animations, which can't be replaced without chanign everyone's animations, which would look daft unless you made everyone a tree, which would look even dafter.

    Or, you could just do a retexture of just a normal race, and make it look as close to a tree as a human can look.

  2. SI adds a lot of unique resources, and most people have it so making your mod require it

    doesn't inconvenience people much (plus SI is a really great expansion to have)

     

    A little more fierce looking than the Sleestak I remember, but rather close.

    I definately agree, Shivering Isles is amazing...but yeah Grummites are pretty close to a Sleestak...if I remember right.

     

    Yes you will have to have Shivering Isles to get access to the Grummites though.

  3. for all who do not know I have up loaded my Land of the Lost Beta down load it and tell me what you think

     

    I need some one who can do meshes and textures I need Dire wolves (might not need these,might be able to use the Southlander wolves), Sabertooth Tigers, Wooly Mamoths, T-rexes, Spinosaurs, Jurrasic Park styled Velociorapters, Sleestax (cold blooded and slow Not a threat, repeat cold blooded and slow not a threat) The Chacka dudes (primitive primate dudes) and i will think of more later

    That's a lot of work you're asking for..especially if you want them as creatures...cause then it requires animating and what. The few people who can do that are probably either busy with other mods, or just not willing to help.

    Anyways, kieran is right though, the few mods that have attempted this are for the most part...still in progress.

    But no me and Angi (Angelica...the love of my life >.> duh) were having some problems, they solved themselves for the most part though.

  8. It helps to give atleast a general idea of what you need a mesher for, either information about the mod, or something along that line. People aren't willing to spend time on something they don't have information about.

    Not quite. The author of that mod still retains rights to do whatever they want with any models that were created for that mod. The problem however is that most models created for mods are not done entirely from scratch, so even if the person may retain the rights to their own work, they don't have rights to the work that it was initially based off.

    the thing is that nifs for example contain a codesnippet which is property of gambryo and liscenced by bethesda, hence selling a product which contains this code would need the approval of the code writer/owner,

    however this does not grant the whole intellectual rights of a model for example to bethesda in any way...

    Which what jaysus said is what I was getting at, wasn't saying they contain rights to the model itself.

     

    Edit: I should really stop trying to simplify complicated things...

    But if you take it from the game and port it over, it's fine just so long as you don't upload it. If it's for personal use there is really no wrong doing.

  12. XD have you seen most of the convos :P it's about 60% Random stuff 40% Modding... maybe although no doubt that the random stuff is awesome random stuff

    It would all be mod stuff if there was anything about the mod to talk about...Pronam is busy with like...over 9,000 other mods and this is low on the list of to-dos for him.

    I create my textures for my meshes. Not that much more work, the boring part is actually making your textures look right.

     

    And I would love to do this, I would. But I'm just really busy, I'd love to use it if it gets made though.

  14. I would like to have voise actors due to the large ammount of dialogue. ide like to have voice actors. its better this way. and its not to much of a task to do bits at a time, for me or the person who is the voice.

    Yes but you should listen to Vagrant, more people will be willing to do voices if they know their work is going to actually be put to use. So you release the silent voice version, and then in future updates you slowly keep adding voices. You'll generate more interest that way.

    Monster Hunter stuff is requested almost all the time, so it could of been someone else's request you saw.

     

    And linking to mods on those sites is not allowed...
