  3. Who am I? I am Paul, Lead of this project. Head writer, but also hope to have knowledge in all other areas. My experience: My writer friends and I have been screwing around since sophomore year in high school. Writing Skits, short stories, book ideas, full fledge movies (just 2 but still) hell even a song or two. We like to be creative, but we aren’t professional, lots of knowledge of writing, writing techniques, and etc, “experienced” but not professional. What is the Machinima? To not give too much away but still give everyone enough info to see if they want to get involved here it goes. Title Helm Hold Genre Action-adventure, Comedy. It is a story based sitcom. Meaning each episode will have its conflicts and premises/ situations that will be resolved in the episode, but they will also have a back story (mainly the one following the main character: Lund) that develops and unfolds throughout the series. Pilot Storyline, Series premise. Orphaned as a child, Lund didn’t know what his life would become once he had turned 16 and left his orphanage to face the open world. It’s now 8 years later, and his unambitious, lazy, and unskilled habits haven’t caused his life to turn out to great. He has finally reached the end of not being happy and wants a change in his life. When such an opportunity is presented to him, he learns that his father, who lives in a small town in Skyrim, has recently passed away. Lund and his best and only friend Shrum must travel to Helm Hold to find out who his father is, why he was orphaned, and if he can find purpose in his life. Main characters • Lund -The Protagonist, Nord. Lund transitions over time from lazy, unambitious, and unskilled, into energetic, ambitious, and slightly more skilled. With a new lease on life, and not wanting to waste it, he rushes into situations due to his eagerness. Trusting, Kind hearted and foolish. • Shrum -Best friend of Protagonist, Nord. Shrum had wants to be a great warrior. But currently stuck in a dead end support possition for the only contract company in the area. • Daric -An Imperial, pretty much enough said... Without giving away a spoilers of the script, I will get to just who he is; stuck up, greedy, a womanizer, arrogant, stubborn, and rude with a secret past. • Thorley -Bosmer, showing up only in the last parts of the pilot. Galmir acts before he thinks. He is clumsy, friendly, has a short attention span, illogical, and eager. Who do I need? Writers - So you want to be a writer, you say? Good, I am looking for people who are passionate about writing. I don’t really care about what your background is in writing, but serious entries only please (look to my “experience” to know what I mean) I would like to see some of your work to see if your style and skill is what I want/need for this project. But even a very well detailed “about you” should give me a good enough idea. Level design – Designing levels in the creation kit, interior and exterior. 3D model design- Blender, 3D Max, or Bryce Voice actors- Do you have no experience? A ton of experience? I don’t care, because this machinima will have a ton of characters, some that have just one line. What I really care about (even though acting quality is very important as well) is your microphone quality. So unless you live in Waukesha, WI. You need to provide your own microphone. Animators- The pilot episode has been made in a way that no extra animations or out of game models will be needed, but we hope for the future to go as crazy as possible, so if you can use 3D model programs or make custom animations all the way from kicking, spinning, to just throwing a high-five. Audio – I will be getting most if not all of my music from Newgrounds.com music portal. But if you use programs like “fruity loops” etc, please feel free to submit some music to me. But also editing voice files and back ground sounds to give the show a good flow.

  5. Can anyone give me an idea of how the objects in the Markarth abanded house started flying off the shelfs? I'm pretty sure the Script is "DA10 Haunting Controller Script" But I am very new to scripting and papyrus. and by very new I mean I have no idea. Any help would be nice thanks :)
  6. Kind of confused as to what you are asking? are you saying in the creation kit you are in a certain area/cell and you changed the weather in that area and now you want to jump in game to see it? or you want to see that weather inside the creation kit?

When you are creating a NPC you can look up animations for that NPC and it lists all the possible in game animations. like attacks, idles, object actions etc etc. But when you are in a quest scene tab and want to put a animations on a package action or dialogue action it only lists 1/4 or so of all the possible actions. Is there a way to force a npc to use this animations? I will assume you can make an action package and attach a script that calls the animation. But really I have no idea. I want certain animations to happen regardless of the normal starting action that would cause the animation. such as I want a npc to do the bleeding out walk. This usually only happens when a npc is actually hurt to near death. any suggestions?

I got a quest set up and two npcs inside that quest doing a scene I set up for them. at first it didnt work because it was in the wilderness and I needed to set up a SM Event node and making sure it knew it was in the right cell. I followed this tutorial Making Npc's talk to each other (Skyrim CK) - YouTube and it woks The problem I have now though is that when my Npcs follow the Xmarkers I put down for them just fine, they do their dialogue and actions. The Original Tamriel location is in I am working in is "HobsFallCaveLocation". When they move outside of the original cell, they dont follow through the rest of the scene, they just start walking away. I changed the location of the surrounding to "HobsFallCaveLocations" since that is the location the SM Even node that allows this scene to work. But crossing over cells seems to break it. any ideas please?

  13. well I finished the proof of concept video, its....meh. due to technology limitations and lack of knowledge on some parts its not what I hoped but I learned a lot from doing it and hopefully it will get the idea across of the possibility.   14. I voted for brewery, just cause idk. But I was thinking a feature these could have, or at least I would think they are cool is specific quests for each business type. so.. The inn- some guy wont leave a room blaa blaa. Farm - bandits are trying to hit you up for crops Alchemy shop - a group of heros need you to supply them with potions for free, help or no? the results who knows Caravan- a rival caravan is in the need of help. idk maybe these were all going to be basic features anyway, Job missions. just my two cents.
  15. Long time no update everyone. I finally have done a mixture of things to finally get off my ass than sit back down on my ass in front of my laptop and start getting scenes done in the creation kit. and...I finished scene one, scene one out of the planned 49. so...progress? Why am I updating you all? I need someone to voice Shrum maybe even Lund. Maybe even just temporarily but I need someone to do it right now so I can record it and throw it on my personal youtube page to show a proof of concept. Shrum is a Deep Nordic male voice. strong but not ...mean without a reason. Real the description if you need more info on Shrum or Lund. But if you have a good enough mic and can set aside at least 10-15 min to record lines. If you think you can do it just email me/ or message me/ or skype me and I will send you the first part of the script that is the scene. I will try to look through all of your replys from the past and message you personally rather than having you come to me. Unless you have time to message me.
