  1. Alright, thanks, I still have a very rudimentary knowledge of the GECK so this definitely helps a lot. Sorry if this seems like a stupid question in hindsight.
  2. Alright, so I've got the mutant mod/Monster mod downloaded. I did this because it had wanamingos, classic eyebots, floaters, and what is essentially a prediction of the assaultron. I wanted to see these enemies in game because I wanted to add to the "Classic Fallout" feel the game was going for, but all I've seen so far are lots of enemies that are either OP (Deathclaw damage for common enemies with nail boards that do half the damage of a missile launcher) or just seem out of place to me personally. (Such as the Khazra) This mod is very well done and I know it seems odd to remove most of the creatures from such a large mod, but the new additions really just aren't for me. Maybe if I were high level in my current save, but it makes starting an absolute chore. Rambling aside, here's the issue I'm having. The creatures are integrated into the spawning areas and lists of existing enemy types I think, as I only ever see them in areas where enemies already would spawn in vanilla. I also encountered them many times in areas from other mods, to the point where they completely replaced the vanilla enemies in some instances. I had deleted all references of the creatures, causing the game to crash on startup. When I deleted the corresponding creature's lists, the game works but is highly unstable. Is there any way around this? I just want wanamingos and floaters back.
  3. Cool! I think I'm going to do that for sure, scripting really does seem like the hardest part, so I think I'm going to put the bulk of the practice on that. I want to do computer science anyways. (Wish my high school offered that, you lucky bastard) I can do rudimentary 3d model stuff and make art, so new enemies and models can come later down the line, once I learn how to add animations and texturing. If I ever finish this thing I'll be sure to thank you two.
  4. L O D E S O M O N E What's that spell?
  5. Okay. Let's hypothetically say that I have this whole big quest line written out for an enclave campaign in fallout 3, (Since it's been 10 years without a single complete mod) but I have little experience in the geck. How long would it take for one person to learn and do this? If you mod, how long did it take you? Where should I ask for help, even novice, if it's possible to get any? (I.E. someone who could modify textures, mixing up meshes a la the enclave power armor replacers, scripting and the like.) For scale I'm talking about 12 quests in total, with around 3 new rooms (Bos crane operation room, Enclave civilian quarters, and a small expansion to fort independence) and 4 major locations in the form of a cave, a fort like constantine or wheaton armory, a somewhat large supermutant encampment, and a labyrinth for the BOS meant to serve as an equivalent to the Mobile Crawler, 2 new enemies, wanamingos and mutant troops, unless given permission for use of same creatures already made in other mods. Is this doable?
  6. In response to post #63387631. #63405021 is also a reply to the same post. Makes sense.
  7. So, hypothetically speaking, if I have ttw installed and have converted a bunch of FO3 mods for it, can I just disable them in order to use this? What would happen if I kept them enabled?
  8. Okay, cool. I'm not really familiar with it but I'm willing to try whatever I can, I just need a different method of porting these mods. I'll probably check out the forums after I get my load order data for it, I remember that they may want to see that. The only reason I came here and not there was because I really don't want to have to make patches for all of the mods, but even if it is worst case scenario, at least there's likely a definitive way to make it work at the end of the day. Thanks.
  9. I'm trying to build the most severely modded game I can for TTW, both NV and fallout 3 included. Unfortunately, that means I have a LOT of plugins to convert if I want to even get past the title screen. So far I've tried using both ctrl and shift to select all of the (GRUP)s at once, but I can only select one at a time. What gives? I'd rather this process not take an eternity, is there any way to fix or get around this?
