  1. So I've been doing a fresh install of Skyrim ever since I had to replace my old computer, and one of the things I needed to redownload is SKSE. But whenever I start Skyrim, I get a message in the upper left corner that says "SKSE 1.7.2 ref 47," and none of my MCM menus will appear. I tried installing the beta 1.7.3, but all I got was the message "SKSE 1.7.3 ref 48"
  2. Any suggestion as to what I can do? I've used a save script cleaner to clean up any loose files but it still doesn't seem to be working. Maybe I'd be better off just doing a clean reinstallation.
  3. So once upon a time, I had some trouble with my game crashing every time I save, whether its a manual save or autosave from transitioning areas. I couldn't figure out what was causing it, so I eventually said screw it and started a new game. But now that problem has come back and I'm still at a loss as to what is causing it. For anyone familiar with this type of bug, would you happen to know what kinds of mods would cause this problem? Would it be mods that affect certain values? Mods that are too big? mods that add something in particular? Or is it simply caused by having too many mods active?
  4. So I downloaded a music mod by Apollodown called EMO, and I've been spending the past couple days getting all set up in a way that I thought would be perfect. But my computer is a little buggy in that sometimes the trackpad will stop reading movement as moving the mouse and will instead interpret this as a double click. Which happened right on top of the uninstall button. So I thought to myself "no biggie" and then reinstall the mod. I turn on my game and I notice that no music is playing, so when I check my EMO folders, I find that my music was replaced by AD's placeholder files. my music was overwritten during the reinstallation. So I was wondering if there was anyway that I could get those files back, as NMM didn't put them into my recycle bin. And I'm holding out that maybe they just got moved somewhere else or are in a position where I can get them back.
  5. I think, and I use the term sparingly, that I may have figured out what it was that was giving me trouble. Okay so I uninstalled my most recent mods and reverting to the first save that wouldn't CTD on save. After I found it, I started to install mods one at a time to see which one would cause it to crash when lo and behold, I found it. As far as I can tell, the mod that was giving me trouble was Death Mountain by Oblivionlaserie. It would seem that any of my saves that had had this mod in it caused it to start crashing, even when I uninstalled it the problem remained. I still want to do some testing just to be sure, but I thought I'd post my findings so far here.
  6. So there's my problem. I hit the ESC key, go to the save menu and hit enter, and once the word "saving" appears, my game CTD. I'm not sure if its one of my mods or what, but I'm willing to bet that it is. But when I search it up online, the only mod I consistently see is Proudspire Manor Fixed with Smithy , which I don't have. But while I try and get my load order organized, would anyone here know off the top of their head any other mods that could cause this effect?
  7. I don't know about anyone else, but it makes me so sad to see so many orphans running around Skyrim and it seems like none of the adults notice them, let alone give them the time of day. Since the player character and their followers seem to be the only people who care about doing good (relatively speaking) I think there should be a mod that lets their follower adopt children and make them live in said follower's house. EX. Taking Sven to Honorhall Orphanage give him a child and have said child move into Riverwood with Sven's mother. Or I could take Derkeethus into Whiterun with me, and let him take Lucia home to Darkwater Pass to live with him. I think it would make a great alternative to the multiple adoption mod, especially for role-players who think that their PC wouldn't be able to handle six kids, bleeding heart or not. And I from a R.P. point of view, I think it'd be great to give the followers you never use something to do. I appreciated their service but now its time for them to go home and become family men (or women). What do you guys think, would something like this be possible?
