I have seen this but I was concerned with backing up like 7GB on via the Internet. It might take forever to compress and download. That is just a lot of info to be messing with. But I'll consider and may try it. Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks a bunch for this advice and a thanks to all the others that have replied. To be honest you make it seem quite easy but I promise, The Law of Murphy rules where I work so we'll see. I'm thinking it will be more of a challange getting the SDD in vs doing the reinstall ( I have a rather large vid card jammed into my case - pls don't let me have to remove it to do the disk change.) So I will give it a try and tell you how it went - no doubt you are sitting on the edge of your seat waiting on this news. Hopefully it will get rid of a few of the bugs that have cropped up over time. So again, I think everyone that has replied to my request for advice. And it is nice to get supportive and helpful advice vs the usually kind of advice I get. ONE ADDITIONAL QUESTION:: As I may have mentioned, I used a mod to build some of my settlements. When I started the game with the mod off, all that I have build with that mod was gone. If I UNINSTALL all my mods, reinstall the game and reinstall the mods before I run the game, this shouldn't be a problem, right? And I just found the OPTION to UNINSTALL all active(?) mods so this should make it easier to do. Cool. Thanks again. Demhis is helpful suggestions.

I've been playing FO4 for a while. I use nexus mod manager. I was given a new SSD drive and I would like to do a clean install of FO4 onto this NEW drive....will also be a new drive letter, D: as FO4 is currently installed to C: The twist is I would like to keep my mods and I would like to keep my NEWEST saved games. I'm a little iffy on this entire process. My plan is to install FO on the SSD Drive D: and then to point the Mod Manager's Custom Fallout (Loader?) to this exe. But I don't know if it will use the MODS or if I will have to install everyone. I loaded the game without a certain installed mod once and it screwed up several of my cities that I had worked on using features of that that mod. Please don't concern yourself with me having 2 installs on my computer as I will only play one at a time and I will delete the first as soon as I am 100% sure the second / new install is working. If you are able to give me some helpful advice, I would be most, MOST! greatful. Failing that I would be willing to listen to knowledgeable speculation and lastly, just speculation. Surely someone has reinstalled this game to a different drive......how do I do so with the least effort. Thanks in advance and I will thank you again when and if you post. Or, If I get no posts, I'll just do it the long way. Uhhhh! Demhi's the breaks I guess.

I guess that initially jumping into a bunch of bad guys and hurting them with my Power Armor was cool. However, after having people in my settlements attack me because I land too hard - well, needless to say, it has become a pain. I can prevent it most of the time but occasionally I don't think and I land hard and my villagers are shooting at me. I looked both here on Nexus and I also googled " Mod to stop power armor landing damage to NPCs" and I have not had any luck. I was hoping someone would see this recall if they did see a mod like this or tell me how to better improve my search terms. Thanks

I do not understand the armor system. Apparently you can have 3 layers. I have the bast layer on....metal arm R&L, Metal Legs R&L, Metal Torso & Metal Helmet. I also have power armor. I understand at some point I can have a base layer like fatigues or shorts. I have 4 pr of power armors at my base. Yet when I go to work on them, not all show up on the "Power Armor Crafter." And in addition to the POWER ARMOR I am wearing, I seem to be carrying some power armor. Yet if I drop what I'm carrying (but not wearing) it will not show up under the CRAFTING menu. And, not all my three suits show up under the CRAFTING menu. It seems very confusing and I have to get out of my P.A and move them around to be closer to the CRAFTING TABLE just to mess with them. I don't know if it is me, the game, my computer or some random issue but this is a real pain to try to figure out. Also, when I turn on my light in my Power Armor, it shows up as SPOT on the HUD(?). There seems to be a slot under this. Does anything show up there? Do Either I or my POWER ARMOR take damage when I fall from a great height? Also, I didn't notice that I had a MOD section on my pip boy until I had down a few hundred mods. Now I have all these mods listed, taking up space, adding weight. Are these mods I removed from my weapons/armor when I upgraded or are these mods I currently using? In F.O 3 New Vegas, once I installed a mod it was used and bound to my weapon. If I didn't use it or need it, it was listed under MODS and I could get rid of it. So can I dump all my mods and still keep my upgraged weapons/armor or do I need all those things listed under mods? I guess I can dump them and see what I have. Ok any help with the armor would be appreciated. What light do you use? I made the mistake of selecting the PIP BOY Light MOD. OMG! Who could use that? It was such a pain to have to travel back and redo my armor just to remove that. Thanks Demhilor

I entered Ulysses' Temple with my bot. I destroyed the Nukes I was suppose to. I think I got all. There are 3 Nukes at the tops of rockets on each side of the chamber and one by the flag that I cannot blow up. The I spoke to Ulysses and made friends with him, I killed the mutants that rushed us. Then I spoke to him and he said to meet at the canyon if we get separated. However I cannot leave temple. The doors to the left and right require a key and if I console them open there is nothing behind them. I can get the elevator door to work I just get "There's no response from the elevator." I cannot FAST TRAVEL. Also I cannot do anything with the controls at the far end of the lower platforms. I'm at 100 in Speech & Science. Suggestions? I guess I"ll save and try to kill him and see if I can leave then. BUT during this encounter, there was no missiles/nukes launched. I was not asked to launch any or stop any. What gives? Where do I go once I get out? I'd like to walk the miricale mile if I can find my way there. Something is not going right so if you can help me, please do so. Thanks

I've been playing Skyrim since it was release and I've seemed to have missed a few things. Where is the version listed? What version should I be on? How do I update/install any OFFICIAL Skyrim patches? I see that Steam offers to let me back up my game(s). How does this work? I royally screwed up the install of steam and would like to re-install it. If I use it to back up skyrim does it just back up my Saves or the entire game? I'm trying to learn to love steam but still not yet a big fan. But I will give them accolades for giving away LFD2. So I'd appreciate any info on this that you guys could share with me. Newby questions no doubt but I've just been doing my own thing playing Skyrim. So easy to get lost in the game for hours at a time and just wonder and wander and not follow a quest line. That is what I think makes the game so great. This is a store bought version of Skyrim if it makes a difference. Thanks

I was wondering if any one is keeping track of the location of "treasure" found in odd or different places? Like gold on the bottom of a lake or river? I found a Treasure Chest at the bottom of a waterfall and while I know I can't be the only one to have found it I have not seen it documented. Are they any reports of treasure in odd out of the way locations? A few more questions if anyone knows? 1.) Why are some corpses heavy and some light? Not based on the size of the person/animal/creature that I can tell. 2.) If I look up a code for TROLL (just an example) and I get ####, when I type: player.placeatme ##TROLL CODE### 10 I may get a few trolls I may not but I get 10 of something appearing? Any ideas? I know the first two ## designate something ???? that may change if you have DLC's loaded??? I don't know if this matters. I don't know what DLC's are actually. Thanks

So do Most Gamers consider the use of the ~console to be cheating? I personally never used it until I fell in a crevice between rocks while crossing some mountains and became stuck. Was unable to get out and was not going to reload. Anyway, if you know, another question since Bethesda is silent to my emails. Why are some corpses easy and "light" but some are very heavy and have a lot of inertia? Anyone know? I've found a pleasure in throwing the bodies of my attackers off the tops of mountains (my preferable habitat ) to let the other monsters know not to bother me. And a last, tongue in cheek/skull question, Why do skeletons always have gold? Were do they keep it and what are they planning on buying with it? I guess this is true for any of monsters. There must be a place where they can all go shop, right? Stupid I know but the game is suppose to be immersive. And for Stayfrosty05: I went outside once, couldn't get the UNP-UNPB/CBBE mods to load for my girlfriend (or my wife.)

I would like some help with my question and if you disagree with me, that is fine, but please no personal attacks, tell me why you think I'm wrong and I'll agree or not but I would like to keep it civil. I usually don't post because of all the rude flamers I have to deal with. First, I have played TES since dagger falls. Didn't like it back then but really enjoy it now. I have purchased - full retail - 4 copies of the game for my family and my self to play. 3 PC and 1 XBox360 version. Sorry, just showing I"m invested in the game. My question is, now that I have decided to join the Storm Troops and attack the empire, do I just shoot the troops in the camps as I find them? I'm not even sure I'm making the right choice by joining the storm cloaks. I see them as the rebels in Star Wars more so the then SS troops of WWII. Am I right on this? And if I do pick them what do I do next? Quests? And/Or my own attacks? I REALLY like the game because I can play in a very nonlinear manner. I spent months of Real Time just wondering about the World of Skyrim so I may have missed some quests that were meant to help me make a choice. So if you can give me advice, I'd be most appreciative. If it needs to go to another area here, let me know, I don't want to be kicked off for the wrong question in the wrong place. QUESTION #2 And if you can suggest other games that someone who loves Skyrim may like, please do. The only game I have played even close to it was a german game with a lot of bugs but the names escapes me. I'd also be open to Horror games if they were as good as Skyrim. I've seen Assassins Creed Advertised but I"m not a big fan of the time periods the game occures in, or the subject matter, so I"m not sure. What of Dragon Wars? Any good? They act like they are alive and hung by the neck or feet but are trying to get away.Why is going on?It reminds me of the time I tried to resurrect a dead rabbit. He came back to life but was still FLAT. He could scoot like heck though. Speaking of that, I resurrected a dragon who was burning and he came back invisible. Wow, almost wiped me out. I did infact try the code you suggested, so, so far I've tried: 8cc8c 9aa46 9aa38 8cdd1 But I had no luck resolving the problem. Each time I could see the NEW effect except for 8CDD1, and each time the effect left with removespell except for 8CDD1 (no change.) One item of note though, the entry under ACTIVE EFFECTS vanished. I still have the leaves swirling around but the description is gone. I'm starting to think this may have been from an enchantment attempt. I don't expect anyone to fix the problem for me but if someone has the same problem, I'd be interested in hearing about when it occurred for you. I did do a forum search before posting this. I got 185 hits for Razer but couldn't find the word RAZER on any of the search returns. Only 1 return for ANANSI, but nothing to do with a keyboard. That being said, do anyone use the Razer Anansi keyboard to play Skyrim? I just got the keyboard and it seems to have a lot of features that are taking me a while to learn/ figure out - though I do have the COLOR CHANGE feature down pat. With Skyrim limiting a player to only 8 hotkeys I thought this board might come in handy. I can't find anything online already made to set the KB up to use in Skyrim. If you are familiar with the KB I would appreciate your responses. Thanks. Demhi

I played previous TES games but playing Skyrim was the first time I downloaded and used any mods. Not only am I blow away by the quality of most of the Body mods but I cannot believe you modders are doing it for free. It has enhanced my game play tremendously and is enabling me to get much more play time out of a game that is 15 months old. I don't know if you "guys" are professionals in this industry but if not, you should be. I would think everyone feels this way but if not, I think you on my behalf. Demhi

SPRIGGEN FEET? I'm not sure if anyone can help with this, but I'd like to post it in case someone else should find a fix. The problem is like the Spriggen Glitch but the "leaves" only fly around my characters feet. They are white or a pale yellow, triangular in shape with a dark line almost bisecting the shape - so I guess they could be leaves. I have tried dropping all my weapons and apparel - because something may have happened when I was trying to use the console to enchant some items. I also tried the fix on this thread : _bugfix_wispactorcript.rar (6.86K) And tried both of the codes below: (green leaves) AbSprigganSwarm: 9AA46 (orange leaves) AbSprigganMatron: 1090f7 Also tried AbWisp: 8CC8C for good measure. No luck. Under Active spells I show: WITCHLIGHT ABILITES +400 Spriggan Swarm But that dissappears from under my active spells/powers once I try to fix the problem, however the problem doesn't get fixed. Would appreciate some suggestions. I don't know if I caused the problem or what. I thought the effect was due to some boots I had found once I did notice. I didn't realize it was a problem until I read this thread. Almost wish I hadn't now. Sorry if I am unable to figure out how to put a picture in this message. This is my first post on a forum.
