  1. Is this just an issue with UNP BBP? Do you have the problem with the vanilla body? Have you tried other body replacers to see if you encounter the same issue?
  2. If you're using 3DS Max, Nightsay has a lot of really good tutorials.
  3. Rigging is binding a model to a skeleton and what you said about modeling is correct.
  4. It's used for modeling, animation, and rigging. If you want to make your own textures, you'll also need a 2D editing program such as Photoshop. IIRC, Adobe is giving away free copies of Photoshop CS2. You'll have to provide some info though.
  5. They do so by using FOMOD. I'm not entirely sure how to set one up, but I know it involves scripting. You can probably find more info with a google search.
  6. Got it working with help from the NifTool Forums and thought I'd share it. The glow's transparency required vertex colors to work properly and I was exporting the model with vertex colors toggled off. Once I re-exported the model with vertex colors enabled in the export options, it works just as intended.
  7. I'm refitting some armors and have come across an issue where the alpha for the daedric armor's glow is not displaying properly. As far as I can tell, the new nif and the vanilla nif are just about the same. Here's my nif export settings. http://i.imgur.com/HrsskfA.jpg Once exported I did the following: - Opened the new nif and deleted the BSEffectShaderProperty from the glow shape and deleted the BSLightingShaderProperty from the Armor -Copied the BSEffectShaderProperty and BSLightingShaderProperty branches from the vanilla nif and pasted them into the appropriate NiTriShape. -Copied and pasted the NiAlphaProperty from the vanilla nif into the new nif's glow NiTriShape. -Changed the BS Num UV Sets for both NiTriShapeData from 1 to 4097. -Updated all tangent spaces. -Saved and closed the new nif. Upon testing in game, this is what I got. The model on the left is the vanilla armor while the model on the right is using my new nif. The texture animates but the alpha effect is not there. http://i.imgur.com/URuMe5c.jpg Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  8. femalebody_1-10.dds are color maps. You should really only have one, but having the extra ones in there won't cause any issues. femalebody_1-10_msn are normal maps. By installing the mod, you should have a new plugin called Basvanbeu Muscle Texture Changer with Navetsea set.esp. It allows you to cycle through the various normal maps when you change the character's body weight in the character creation menu.
  9. You can use UNP armor and clothing replacers with UNPB. The only issue you'll come across is the large breasts, when naked, won't transfer over when equipping armor/clothes. You might get away with using CBBE Armor, so long as the armor doesn't show skin...
  10. http://i.imgur.com/jor6eud.png Intro I thought I'd throw this up to make it known that, yet another female body replacer is in the works. What's different about this body you ask? This isn't an "t and a"/anime body. I've been using UNP for the better part of a year and have pretty much grown out of it. I've looked at a few other female body replacers, but they all seem to have proportions that I don't at the moment agree with (to each their own). I wanted something more realstic, something that I felt would fit the original asthetics of the game, something...lore friendly... In short, I wasn't able to find a body that I liked so I'm making one myself using dimon99's UNP as the base since the mesh is quite nice and there's already so many fantastic textures for it. The Model Provided below are two images that shows the difference between UNP and UNPLE. Though I aimed to have realistic proportions, UNPLE is still very much idealized. Pre-Alpha in Game Below is a screenshot of body ingame. The color map is an edited version of Navetsea's CBBE skin texture V2 V3 plus Thepal an UNP compatible texture. The normal map is custom made for this body. I wanted the body to look toned yet still have body fat. Release Plans For v1.0 there will likely be two variants: a nude version and one that sports the vanilla underwear. The body will likely support BBP (it's hard to go back). There will be no armor conversions at release. I think Exeter's UNP Female Armors will do for the moment being. Current Progress At the moment, I'm pretty happy with how both the nude and underwear versions it look in game. The only thing left to do is figure out how feasible it is to have the body support BBP and fix the skin weights.
  11. Um...what exactly am I looking at?
  12. Thanks for the warning. I think it may have to be something to do with my nif file. I don't have the problem when using other body replacers such as UNP/CBBE.
  13. Hey all, I'm creating a custom body replacer and I'm getting random shadows on the body that shouldn't be there. Any idea on how I can remedy this? I've attached an image to show what I mean.
  14. I recommend importing a vanilla piece of armor that covers up the body similarly and see how it's set up.
  15. Here's a good tut for getting a bow in game (swapping models) http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13604 There is a video tut that goes over the process, but the guy skips a step during skinning and causes the string on the bow to bend the wrong way. Still good enough though.
  16. Here's a tutorial I stumbled upon on youtube. He uses Max but you can probably skip to around 3:00 to get to the NifSkope stuff. The video description also has a link to a text tutorial.
