Why aren't there more Skyrim components to these two armors? I mean, you could've lopped off the signature leather pauldron sholderpiece and used it in conjunction with the Witcher belt brace thing on the torso, alongside keeping the Theives Guild gloves and maybe swapping out the boots for something else; the soles just seem out of place when you consider Thieves need to be hella quiet. I also don't really understand why a thief would need to have metal kneeguards when you could just cut the original guards out on the vanilla thieves guild armor and put them on there. Basically the original armor with a handful of modifications to make it more aethesically pleasing, instead of what looks to be another Witcher mashup; if you become too reliant on those components, your armors are gonna start looking the same. But thats just my two cents, its your call.

Oh man, dat dere looks mighty fine. The overall UVs have a ton of potential in terms of palettes and textile textures; cant wait to fiddle with it once its released. Been waiting for an armor like this for eons. On that note, has anyone attempted/mentioned working on making new outfits for the dunmer? The typical clothing that Dragonborn added was gaudy as all hell; it would be neat to see someone tackle making robes and other outfits for the dunmer based off the Morrowind design works or even perhaps some of the various outfits seen in fanart. Totally understandable if its not gonna be considered here, seeing as this is a continuation of the Credo mod, a mod which so far has relied on irl examples of dress and the like. Either way, great work.

Actus is just busy training in the mountains, honing his skillz. I am sure once he releases a few things we will all simultaneously poop our pants.

Looks like Actus has dropped off the face of the earth. rip in peace credo

I'd like to think he is working non-stop on Credo and will eventually pop up in the near future to either release it or release another standalone armor pack.

I reckon not

Hey Actus, when it comes to the furs and the like for the bandits and other folks, could you also take into consideration the concept art for the game? A lot of unused but really nice looking armors seem like good references. http://www.flickr.com/photos/47857688@N08/6877598195/in/set-72157629321466509 And the actual gallery: http://www.flickr.com/photos/47857688@N08/sets/72157629321466509/?page=2 I know some of these armors aren't fitting of your realistic redo of the armors in skyrim, but I think a lot of them have very good elements to borrow from when it comes time for you to make the other armors.

This looks nice.

Latin is based off the greek alphabet and doesn't really have an alphabet of its own, expect V and U are the same thing, as for J and I. But anyways, what about replacing it with the dragon tongue alphabet you can find in High High Hrothgar? Don't forget that the dragons are Cyrodiil's symbol. Dragons are their motif because the Emperor was Dovahkiin; they don't worship dragons, hence why using the Dragontongue would make no sense since those words when used correctly can alter the nature of reality. The only real dragon they worship is Akatosh, and technically he isn't a dragon but the concept of time incarnated into the shape of a dragon. As far as Cyrodill being a jungle, it was described as such in the Pocket Guide to the Empire in Morrowind. It was overlooked by developers hence the temperate Oblivion we got via the excuse of CHIM. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Cyrodiil#Geography

Cyrodiil was going to be a hybrid Greek/Ming Dynasty setting with immense jungles and dragon motifs everywhere. The only reason the are dressed like they are in Oblivion is because nobody paid attention to the Morrowind in-game lore/books and probably assumed that because Cyrodiil was the "middle" province, they made it generic as all hell. Credos Empire outfits are a reaction to this; I'd rather see some Witcher stuff combined with the preexisting Vanilla Empire armor than having them haul around in brightly colored leotards. Realistically, the Empire is spread out all over the place trying to fend off the Aldermeri Dominion while also dealing with the Civil War in Skyrim. Because of this, their supplies are low and it doesn't make much sense to have heavily plated armored soldiers in the battlefield. It looks cool, but realistically and economy-wise, its impractical. The Stormcloak armors look nice though; like some peasants just slapped on some gear over their normal work clothes and picked up an axe off to face the Empire. As for the Blades, I'd leave em as-is, because iirc the Witcher 2 has hardly anything really oriental looking. Can't wait to see what he comes up with in terms of mage robes/vigilant armors. Latin

You're thinking of a mantle or gugel. @ActusReus: I like the mod nonetheless, but its one thing to reinterpret the lore to something more historically accurate, and another thing to ignore it completely. The other holds are very poor, with the exception of Solitude and possibly Dawnstar. Solitude mainly because of the Imperial occupation, Dawnstar because its a trading hub, as is Whiterun. The other holds have a barbaric, goth/hun/mongol aesthetic going on. Not all holds have the ability to purchase and maintain top of the line, heavily armored suits for their guards and the like. I figure a high ranking guard would get a different coloration, and perhaps a slightly modified suit of arms. Slightly reinforced armor, something within the budget of the hold. Windhelm's look I can understand; Ulfric is probably exporting all the goods he gets from Imperial raids to finance the armors and other supplies while leaving the rest of the city in ruins, alongside the Dunmeri quarter and the rest of the populous of Windhelm. You wanna be realistic, consider these sorts of things. Looking forward to the mod either way, but I just hope this wont become another Witcher 2 rehash with every dick and jane wearing plated armor when in the environment of Skyrim its really impractical.

Wouldn't a cape get in the way during combat? I mean, I can see royalty and such wearing it, but your typical guard, especially in riften, seems more inclined to be more mobile in order to catch those pesky thieves.

This mod looks to have enormous potential. However, might I suggest you make the final product modular? Perhaps a person wouldn't want one faction to look one way, or perhaps they just want one specific faction to use your mod. I understand the goal of this mod is to overhaul all the armors, but it would be really neat and really accessible if you made it modular as a means to allow others to customize at their whims. Or, better yet, even add an option that integrates the armors into the leveled lists of the game, too? I'm coming from the angle of total flexibility of the mod, so it doesn't become one of those overbearing mods that isn't compatible/isn't oft used because it lacks such flexibility in terms of personal customization for the user. Great idea tho, I really like how things are looking so far and look forward to trying this mod out even if you dont make it all too modular.

Possibility of Dark Souls combat in Skyrim?
somevagrant replied to Servius1234's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Yeah, this thread is old, but I feel like the fellow who answered had no real idea what he was talking about. - Lock On Could probably be done, but who ever did it would really have to know what they are doing and it would almost def. require a script extender. - Hits Actually "Hurting" There are injury mods, but in terms of difficulty there are also many combat mods that come close to what DS did. DUEL comes to mind. - Terrain Collision This is possible and was shown in the infamous Game Jam vid, and might be apart of a future update. - More Kinds of Weapons Spears have been the major one, but in terms of adding it in and animation I've heard things along the lines of "Skyrim's Engine couldnt handle it" which imho is bs, or "They'll be added at a later date". Honestly, I am sure almost any weapon within reason is possible in Skyrim, you just either have to look for a mod or make it yourself. - More Attacks There are animation mods that fix this, albeit most of them replace vanilla animations with whatever theirs is. In terms of them becoming unique animations after pressing a series of keys, I am sure this is possible since you can already do this, albeit the animations aren't really impressive. In total: Yeah, its all totally possible but altogether time consuming.
