  1. Hi guys, Edit: First sorry if the answer is not far, i looked a lot on different forum, im tired and angry, maybe i missed something.. Im the kind of guy that try to find solution by himself but this is driving me crazy since more days than i can tell and i resigned to implore your help. Maybe the answer is simple and i will look stupid. Fine. I will go directly into the problem and talk after. I will try to be as factual as possible. I think i know how CK work, i modded on all the elders scrolls, im not a great modder but i know how to add stuff, create stuff, i already did a lot of armor change, meshes replacement, edited leveled list etc..and everythings ever worked fine etc.. Before you give me some advices, know that i : - Tried with fresh install - Fresh install with only modded mod or with all mods. - Made load order with loots and sometime adjusted what loot did. - Made my few changes on existing mod. On authors mods. On patches. On new mod made from scratch. - Looked for scripts running in vanilla. - My skyrim isn't pirated. - i did with and without bashed pash.. Still, nothing helped.. CONTEXT: Im running a serious morrowlooted skyrim with static permazone so basically, no more enemies levelling with me. At lvl 1 i can encounter lvl 10 bandit and lvl 15 bandit boss or more. What bother me is to see all bandit boss with steel plate armor. So i decided to change the Steel plate in some leveled list by a modified stats version of the nord hero armor from warmonger armory. If you want to know exactly why, go directly at the end of the post i explain that here. PROBLEM: Armor replacement work only at first load then if i reload or start a new game, IT VANISH or become kind of invisible (not the invisible armor that can be fixed with bInvalidateOlderFiles=1). Parts of the armor are there but it just show the nude body. (Mesh/texture path is ok because the armor show in first test playthrough but then diseappear) WORST: sometime if i re-open the mod in the CK, IT IS F*****G ERASED? WTF ??????? Not changed, not reversed, Erased!! EXAMPLES AND RAGE.. Morrowloot Ultimate use warmonger armory. I replaced the steelplate armor by one of the armor in warmonger armory in all leveled list related to banditboss. I didn't add line in the leveled list, just changed the vanilla lines like this: From: http://img15.hostingpics.net/thumbs/mini_229149416.png To: http://img15.hostingpics.net/thumbs/mini_688656521.png And if i take a bandit using this leveled list and click preview i see that: http://img15.hostingpics.net/thumbs/mini_804461962.png The armor show up normaly. Then i save, close or not the CK, And i go Ingame and spawn the guy with console, guess what? it work, the boss get the armor. Im happy and ready to go to the next edit or prepare my new playthrough. BUT, If i restart a new game or load my savegame or whatever ? everything vanish, and when i open the CK, to check what happened, it look like that: (Surprise!!) http://img15.hostingpics.net/thumbs/mini_603101804.png And of course in game no more armor..deleted from the inventory.. but still in the leveled list like on the first picture..!! And of course it's not a mesh problem as mentionned earlier because the path didn't changed and if it was showing at the first test, there is no reasons for it to change after.. WTF??? no,guys, please im going crazy, the s*** got directly edited in the mod..!! it's not as if it will be like that everytime, then i would guess some scripts or shits is doing it and i did wrong.. But seriously i never seen that in oblivion or morrowind.. I never seen a mod editing himself.. i changed tons of things in theses games, changed meshes and textures, made my owns armors mods, everythings was always fine.. So i supposed it's not the way to do with skyrim despite that i already made many successfull changes in this game and edited already so many mods to match my tastes.. Also, it was so simple in the previous elders scrolls, changed something, it worked. Add something into inventory? it show up. Then i looked how some other mods were made.. hmm... customs leveled list?.. maybe that's it.. fair enough, let's do some new leveled list and outfit and replace the old ones or just add them without replacing... same results.. I tried doing the changes in the original warmonger mod, in the bashed patch, in morrowloot ultimate and his patches.. in a mod from scratch.. same issue everytime, even the original mod got the virus..i just don't want to play my skyrim like that and say F*** off i will play like this... No seriously im getting crazy i really need your insights..PLEAAAASE tell me that im retard, that it's not how to do, that it's normal because of this and that.. For people curious of why i want to change that: When in introduction i said that it bother me, it's because in a morrowlooted (morrowloot ultimate) version of skyrim (with or without static permazone) you always find Steelplate armor before any Orcish, Dwarven and elven armor. Then all these armors are useless because the stats are better and the difference with orcish is so small that you don't even bother. Also, i red somewhere (don't remenber) that steelplate armor is supposed to be a rare armor worn by nobles and great warriors. Im ok with that background but suddenly seeing every bandit boss wearing it past level 15 or just by using static perma bother me.. In Morrowloot ultimate, The nord hero armor from warmonger armory is a great looking armor but look like a steel armor with some fur and horns and is stats are greater than steelplate and equal if i remember of the nordic carved. I don't like that. Ijust want to swap the 2 armors and reduce stats from the Nordic hero set just stronger than steel but lower than morrowloot dwarven. I don't want to totally replace steelplate as i still want to find it on great npc or named foes. By doing that, the important gameplay change is that killing my first lvl 10+ bandit boss will not immediately give me an armor that i will only change for dragonplate, it will really give importance to dwarven and orcish set as they are hard to get in my setting. i will enjoy finding them, i will be happy to find a piece of one set on a guy and i will be really happy if i manage to get a fuill steelplate set ona foe.

  3. Hello, No matter what lvld list or mod that change bandit appearence that i try, the Nordic carved will always be the armor of lvl 25+ bandit chief. Someone said it's because of a script with dragonborn but does any of you knows how to edit stuff so my bandit can finally have a variety of armor even at high level? Thx

  5. Hi, Could someone make a mod so that the undiscovered dungeon location are not spawning on map when a character give you a quest? The mod immersive quest used to do that, there was no map markers added to your map when a npc give you quest. But the mod is long time abandonned and don't work anymore Thx Edit: I think he simply changed icons from map marker into transparent as there is a .BSA in his archive. Still, i don't know how to do that :sad:
  6. Hi, There was this really underrated mod in the past: Smithing Tomes I share the same idea with the author and like to see the same kind of mod remade. I tried the mod but it doesn't seem to work anymore as i can craft anything anyway, no matter that i remove smithing tree mod or change my load order. Im a bit familiar with the CK but not an expericenced modder anymore (used to mod skyrim) If someone could make it work again or something very similar with receipe, it will be very useful as i can manage to do all other simple change like changing location or removing the tomes from sellers by myself. Is this involving script? Also, is there a way to change the value of a craft after reaching a certain level of skill? For me, we should not be able to raise smithing to 100 just by crafting wood sword and dagger. XP provided by these craft should stop around smithing 30 or something and then you need to craft armor or other.. OR, it could be this way, once you reach lvl 50 in smithing, only crafting in dwarven or elven should bring you xp. Once you reach 80, only steel plate or orcish or better should bring you xp..
  7. Right, but does any of you knows, in term of content for mod like Wyrmtooth or undeath or whatever if there is some unbalance encounter? For exemple, if somebody can tell me : Hey, be carefull in this mod, there is a totally unbalanced boss that constantly knockout no matter what" I saw this in comment in a mods where people clearly say "well done but last boss is insane, one shot all the time all of my team, had to reload 10 time" or "I opened your mod in the CK, man you gave all the bandits in this cave 65000 hp, it's ridiculous"

  10. Hi, Im not used to post a lot and im not english speaker so please forget any typo and let's focus on answers. Also please avoid comment like "why doing that? why not play vanilla then ..." First, let me explain the context so you will perfectly understand, there will be a bit to read but i thank you in advance for taking time to understand. Im starting a new playthrough in an old style hardcore setting done by combining "Dead is dead" mod and "Death souls" mod http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60179/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49294/? Basicaly, if i die, my save game are locked and not usable anymore BUT i will not really die as long as i have dragon souls, everytime im supposed to die i can consume dragon souls to resurect. if i have no more dragon souls.. game over. a little bit like old game when you had only 3 life at the start and had to search for a "1up", difference here is that you will have to hunt these life, and hunt them hard..... i already tried as experiment in an existing savegame and it totally change the way you play, trust me.. very exciting.. In this case, you have only 1 life until you kill first dragon. Or, as you will see with my mod, i only managed to kill the first dragon at lvl 17.. so until level 15+, no mistake allowed.. I never played Skyrim past lvl 22 so i only know a little of the game, i want to make my skyrim experience unique, a unique first playthrough. what i did before was just balance testing. Also my skyrim is modded with a lot of dungeon mods and some overhaul. this is the few impacting combat/skill mod i will use; ultimate combat Enhance Enemy ai ACE for perk trees Weapons and Armors fix remade Resilient dragons (only good dragon overhaul for me, lore friendly, no overpowered dragon move etc..tried the others, was disappointed) Complete crafting overhaul. Stronger Miraark and Harkon i will play in adept without HUD :D.. i don't see any enemy life bar, i have no compass, no quest marker, i don't even see my life stamina magic bar i use the mod important information overhaul that just change my screen effects depending of how magic health stamina run out, that give me informations when i need to run in a fight. i don't play with follower coz i hate that, im some kind of RPG videogame sociopath, i like playing alone without team. (but i like FPS and was pro in CS 1.6 haha) I play with Morrowloot 4E and Scarcity, no rare ingots vendor and barter&trade to give a real economy and hard time, there will be not much magic item for sales, crafting will be hard.. there is no dwemer or better ore and ingots for sale.. As you know, sometime, modders like to give unbalanced encounter because they want to kick your uberchar ass. For exemple: in the excellent CONAN hyborian mod, very well designed and said for characters level 10, the final encounter with pitfighters is totally unbalanced, i did it at level 20 and despite im full health heavy armor build theses guy just 2 shots me at CAC and they keep knockout me despite my 280 armor and 315 health they use with a shout like fus ro dah... Looking at the CK i saw these guy are leveled and have a bonus of 980 hp average with minimum 45 in their skill... and they are 3, this is totally unbalanced, i tried many way to deal with them.. no luck... how are you supposed to do that betwwen level 10 and 20, also i saw a video of a guy in youtube dealing with them at lvl 79 in daedric.. he was constantly knockout and had to use health potions, he said he was really surprised by that... I already tried - Revenge of enemies but i saw too many unbalanced encounter or drop added to some npc. also, looking at comment and video on how Red Eagle just kick ass of any character facing him.. im discouraged I also question mysefl on Ultimate Combat when i can read in comment section that Dragon priest are overpowerd and get an ice spell that one shot character with 85% elemental and magic resist...should i deactivate dragon priest AI in MCM menu for this mod? in fact, im not afraid of some very strong magic, im just afraid of being stuck, without escape option, with modified npc that were just modded with instakill spell or attack. Okok i can already see people saying "why playing with perma death mod if you don't want to die" it's not that, im ready to die and loose even a save with a level 60+ .. but if this happen, i want it to be an epic fight, not a : "enemy cast instadeathspellOMG, player use dragon soul to revive, enemy cast instadeathspellOMG, player use dragon soul, enemy cast instadeathspellOMG, PERMA DEATH" SO, after reading all of that i think you understand my question: Can you list me some mod where you know i will have to be really carefull because there is some unbalanced encounter or where you have to do some tricky jump across a botomless hole to go further? Do you have some to recommend? Or just give me the name of a character in a mod that should be edited in CK to be less complicated? Also, here some of the quest/dungeon mod i will use (non exhaustive): - Undeath - Agent of Righteous Might - Conan Hyborian Age - Shadow of meresis - The oblivion realms serie 1 & 2 - Wyrmtooth - Falskaar - Here there be monster i also have mods from the quest series
  11. I DID this upgrade 3 month ago, i now have i7-4790k + 8GB Ram running at 1600mhz+ gtx970 G1 gaming+SSD crucial 250g mx100+Msi gaming G5. Nothing overclocked yet. Im running around 190 esp/esm + all texture mod possible (in 4k when available)+parallax (for a total of more than 250 mods). All major lighting mod (alterning between Relighting skyrim and ELFX depending of my mood) I run some heavy scripted mod but not a lot because i prefer mod that add content than mod overhauling everything. I run all JK city overhaul. I run a lot of quest/dungeon mod with all big ones (wyrmtooth, falksaar etc..) All of that on a 24" IPS asus screen at 1080p Im running "Somber 3" best quality preset with enb with latest 0.265, enboost, texture sizescale down to 0.6 (defaut 1) and fps limiter enable at 40 fps coz it's enough for me Most of my mod are cleaned but im not a big specialist of this Everything sorted with Loot Nothing merged. Texture are optimized with text optimizer 8.3 at medium preset. i 'm with uGridload 5. never tried uGridLoad 7 I recently resolved my CTD problem by removing safetyload and optimizing my SKSE setting and memory blocks skyrim in ULTRA TL;DR my Skyrim look like exactly the same as screenshot from Somber 3 author, very beautifull and detailled So, for the performance: Occasional stutter as you mentionned and im most of the time at the 40 fps limit with in few occasion a drop at 28 fps. No FPS drops in combat, even with followers and bandits group with mage, already did skirmish of 10 characters without issues I tried without limiter but fps still around 45 outside and 50-55 inside or 35 inside when heavy lightning. Loading time is very acceptable with only rare freeze (1 in 3h of gaming?) with somber 3 texture sizscale at 1 i was 28-35 fps, diminishing at 0.6 rised my fps to the 40 limit without any noticiable quality loss. Hope it will help you, can't be more precise except by posting my load order
