  1. I'm sad to say that the game is definitely low on replayability from my perspective. In the last week I've loaded the game only to tab out before the thing even loaded fully. I couldn't be bothered waiting for the thing to load just to have the same nothing to do that I had the last time I played it. Doing the same quests over and over doesn't have the same feel as other games. In Fallout I can usually do moira's quests to the end before getting bored, maybe because there's more variety in the encounters or in the pacing or the challenge in defeating the opposition. Oblivion was made better by the mods people made but it too had me yawning. I guess the more resources they expend on things like dragons and oblivion towers the less varied the game content becomes. There might be more quests but they are pretty much the same after you see them a few dozen times. The faction quests are short and ultimately lead to the same end. I only actually finished one of them. I guess being let down by crappy endings and meaningless leadership roles is one of the reasons. I guess the elder scrolls formula is in need of some serious rethinking or it's going to be dying a slow death. ( like 10 million units shipped is any indication of a dying series right?) I guess we'll know in five years or so.
  2. Just as an FYI, I moved recently and my cable internet was slow to follow. For the entire two weeks I was without a connection I was also denied access to any of my steam games. The off line mode was disabled by an update that I got just before unplugging my connection. I went to the library to see what was going on and learned that the cause was valves fault as they keep messing with their code and breaking it. I wanted to download the beta version of the next update to fix the problem, but since the computer I was using didn't have steam installed I was out of luck. Sorry, but steam is proving to be as unreliable and intrusive as any other system. They might be useful as a distribution source, but as a DRM it's a total fail. This especially since the bad guys seem to be able to ignore the system entirely, while I and many others have to suffer the indignity of not being able to play the games we spent our hard earned cash for, even if only for a few short weeks.
  3. I was going mad trying to fix this. I am so glad it was reasonably easy to do. My thanks. snake11088 Tlantl.
