  1. The new patch hasn't dropped yet, but yes -- you have to wait until all the mods you were using are updated, or have been confirmed to work without an update needed. If a mod is dead -- IE never going to be updated -- you have to start a new game.
  2. I figured it out!!! HELL YEAH! Alright, just in case anyone shows up in the future wondering about this very question, here's how I fixed it; Now, are you using a modded weapon, or a vanilla one? In either case, the first step -- and what I did -- was open up FNVEdit and go into Image Space Adapter. You're gonna have to do a bit of looking, here, but just scroll the the list and keep an eye on the 'referenced by' tab, since any explosives should be shown in that tab when you reach the right record. Once you find the right record, look for Duration -- it's right under Animatable -- and set the time there from whatever it is, to 0. That gets rid of the light effect from the explosion, which means you can blast away without getting blinded! It's quite nice, let me tell you. Make sure you do this in a new ESP, or one that you don't mind editing. To do that, right click the entry you want, and select 'Copy as Overwrite into', then just click on whatever ESP you wanna send it too. If you're using a modded weapon or explosive, this should be even easier since there should be less in the Image Space Adapter section than there is in Vanilla, and as long as it isn't an ESM (Might not matter in a mods case) you can just save the value right there in the mod, no fuss! Hopefully, if some poor shmuck comes by with the same problem I had, this helps them figure it out. Good luck!
  3. SOLVE IT! Solution below, in case anyone needs/wants it. Hello, everyone. Hopefully I'm not just sending this request into an empty void. >< This is a bit of an odd request, I'm sure, but it's something that I'd really appreciate some help with. I've been playing around with explosive builds for the first time, and I'm really enjoying them! The problem I'm having, though, is the light that pops in when the explosion is too close to you. I've taken to using Mercy in my playthrough, but it's only viable at a certain distance -- if I fire too close, then the explosions it makes fills my screen with this ungodly bright whiteness that only gets worse the more I fire, which means I either stop shooting and wait to see again while the NPCs just whittle away at my health, or I keep firing to kill the NPCs and burn out my retinas IRL from the sheer white that's radiating from my screen! Add to that the colors are horrible brightened, blurred, and distorted for a little bit as my character regains their sight, and I have an ungodly miserable experience that's really putting a damper on my playthrough. I've tried editing the explosion data for the projectiles, edited the light itself to see if I could just remove it (I couldn't), and probably messed around with some other things I can't remember now. No matter what I've done, though, every time I boot up the game I launch a few test-solvos at my feet and lo and behold I'm friggen blinded again. Can someone, please, tell me what I need to be looking for to get rid of this? Whether in Geck or in xEdit I don't care -- I just want the light from the explosions gone, or replaced with something that's not gonna give me a migraine. =/
  4. Alright, so I managed to scrounge up an old backup file that seemed to have done the trick, and with the custom ini working like it's supposed too, hopefully I won't run into this issue again. I don't know what I did, but it's fixed now.
  5. So, before I begin, I want to make it clear that I have all the mods for stability there is. This isn't a mod issue--I've been playing with this setup for years without any issues whatsoever. The problem I'm having is that whenever I go outside, whether on a new game or trying to load on a pre-existing save, my game freezes after a long loading screen. The issues happened after I edited the Water settings in the INI file, and after trying to set up a Falloutcustom ini(Yes, I have JIP installed). I've went back through and tried to alter the changes I've made in the INI back to what they were before, deleted the ini files and had the startup make new ones, took the Water settings of a backup INI and tried to replace them with earlier versions that worked (The new ini files didn't work so I restored the old ones), I've restarted my computer, ran the game from different launchers, tried a new game and pre-existing ones all within different landmasses(DLC areas, mod areas, vanilla areas) and no matter what, it freezes whenever outside. Indoors works fine. I'm at my wits end here. It has something to do with the INI, but I can't figure out what--the custom ini I first tried was made wrong, and caused the vanilla launcher to open instead of the 4gb one. Is this saved somewhere? Is that custom INI baked into something, even though I've tried both removing and replacing it? I've tried running as an Administrator, too. Again, I wanna repeat that this problem only started happening after the ini was tweaked. Nothing else was touched. Does anyone have any idea what the hell I did, and how to fix it?
  6. Alright! For anyone in the future who may have this problem, I found the solution! Just go into your ENBlocal file, and change this line in [Antialiasing] from EnableaccumulativeAA=true, to EnableaccumulativeAA=false. I'm not sure what, exactly, this setting does--if someone else could fill that one in so we less tech savvy know what we're losing?--but setting it to false fixes the issue where rugs turn white and transparent. Hopefully this post will help someone else down the line. ^^
  7. PROBLEM SOLVED! Hey everyone, I've been having an ENB issue that's really been getting on my last nerve. In some places, not all, the carpets flicker with this white transparency unless you're standing right on them--this is most noticeably in the Sierra Madre, the Lucky 38, and--for mods--Autumn Leaves. The problem goes away whenever I disable the ENB settings, but I can't figure out which one is causing it. I have the fix transparency bugs option on, and tried with it turned off just to see--no difference. Now, this isn't a screenshot of my game (I play on a different computer, and its easier to just use someone else's picture instead) but it's exactly the same issue. The picture in question comes from a 3 year old Reddit topic that, unfortunately, didn't offer any fixes. Can someone, PLEASE, help me out with this? I've looked for a fix for this for god knows how long, and apparently its just not an issue for anyone but me and this dude from 3 years ago. =/ http://i.imgur.com/uc4u8rw.jpg
  8. Relatively simple question, but it's not one that's been asked in the post tab for the mod. For those of you who don't know, it's just a small script that makes it so that--when you go the the Sierra Madre--your equipment isn't taken away from you. It's kind of a one and done type deal, ya know, and I don't really wanna take up a spot in my load order for a mod that becomes redundant after it's been used. I just don't know if that will cause any real issues down the line or anything--I'm fairly confident it won't, but I figured I'd ask just in case someone else has used it and done this. Worst case scenario... I dunno, I add some irrelevant stuff to the mod like recipes, changes in textures/meshes, and any other little nit-picky thing I feel like fiddling around with to make it stay useful.
  9. I know I may be jumping to conclusions a bit with this--I mean, it took four years before Fallout NV got a mod that let you see you're character's body--but since Fallout 4 has been released I haven't even heard of any modders trying to work on a mod that lets you see your character's body. I mean, there are topics about it of course, and lots of people want it, but no one with the actual skills to manage seem to want to do it. When Skyrim was released, it took 2 months for a mod to be released that let you see your character's body. 2 months! At first the excuse was that there wasn't a Creation Kit, but that went out the window 2 years ago. Since then the few topics that crop up about it all say that we have to wait for F4SE to release something to make it possible--for crying out loud, the Xbox modders have managed to make a First Person mod before PC! Sure, it's buggy as all hell and removes 3rd person from the equation completely, but if they could manage that much the PC modders--with all their external tools--should be able to make an actual stable version. Tl;dr I want to see my character's body when I look down, but nobody cares.
  10. I want to make a new game, but the quests to unlock the settlements are just... ugh. Are there any mods or console commands to just make all of them usable the moment you start the game up? Can I just kill the settlers and take the settlement that way? I just don't want to go save the moron who got kidnapped again or go halfway across the map to deal with the 'nearby infestation' of insert-enemy-here.
