8GB of RAM will do you fine because in reality 4GB works just as well. It's just that the price difference between these two are like what, 10-20 bucks? Hardly makes a difference in the long run. I'd suggest you invest in top-quality peripherals, most important a good chair. This is something that so many people overlook. The last thing you want is a chair that makes your back crooked etc.

I remember reading that Funcom has implemented a subscription fee based system. I was originally going to check this game out but I stay as far away as possible from subscription fee games. I only spend money once and that is to buy the game, that's it.
