Has anyone figured out how to prevent Enemy Within from performing the "Phone Home" without causing the game to crash yet? I know where to go and how to do it for EU, but I need to know how to do it for EW

I read that the Old Developer console trick won't work with the Enemy Within exe file. Has anyone found a way to unlock it? And yes, I'm aware of the console bindings trick, I just want to know how to use the developer console for future reference.

I'm sorry, but I'm new to this whole modding thing. Can someone give me a step-by-step process on how to mod the post-update exe file so I can use the developer console? Every time I try to do this, my game winds up either crashing at the main menu, or flat-out not starting at all. Any help?

I have this game installed on two computers at home, my laptop, (which is the newer of the two) and my one-in-all computer (which is basically the entire computer compressed into a screen unit). On the one-in-all, the game works perfectly, barring framerate issues. But when I play on my laptop, whenever I try to look at soldier stats and want to look at abilities and customization, the menu that has the options for abilities, customization, etc. does not show up. I can still move my pointer over where the buttons should be and they register, but it is simply invisible. My laptop has an Intel HD 3000 Graphics Card. Could that be the problem? Whether or not it is, how can I fix this?

Is there any way to mod research time and costs? (ie: how long it takes to finish a research a project and what it will cost)
