  1. The Love of Money is the root of all evil, they say. I fear for the future of projects like Nexus and Elder Scrolls modding communities. Thanks for the update. I only recently learned of this change with Steam. It's good to get a more in-depth review of it and the potential danger posed. I hope people will be able to resist that urge, because it only gives Steam incentive to try and monopolize all modding efforts. If people want to make a profit off another's work, that's just despicable. More so when that original author made their work out of love for gaming. Hopefully there's a greater number of decent individuals than opportunistic ones.
  2. In response to post #20098014. #20210610 is also a reply to the same post. Hear, Hear. (Skyrim)Nexus and the crew behind it are among the most outstanding works (and teams) created out of simple love for a game. I am exceedingly grateful for nexusmods and while I understand the frustrations that come with downloading mods - or mods suddenly not working; believe me, I've experienced the first impulse from such problems many times - we should all remember this is a great service and resource being provided free of charge. Bethesda releases good games but it's their willingness to have accessible code (and the collaborative efforts of Dark0ne and others to take initiative) which makes those games relevant years after the Console versions have been forgotten. And if you read the User Agreement deal they've included with NMM it's really something; just compare to other User Agreements. It makes it clear their concerned about the integrity of the site and work of modders (as opposed to the almighty dollar). Please keep that in mind before raging at someone for problems, however, legitimately NOT your fault, that you experience.
  3. Recently bought Bayonetta 2 (1) and I really like the concept art. Was wondering if anyone could try making a Lumen Sage outfit (with mask) of Bayonetta's antagonist. Not sure about stats but since it's mostly aesthetic I'd take even a plain, unadorned robe; I lack the talent to make one. Edit: With or without the mask would be fine. Both options would be best (I would love to sport some killer Dragon Masks with it, for my pictures' folder)
  4. Hi. Recently purchases Legendary Skyrim and installed it with all DLC (Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn). Now running it with about 65ish mods, but none of these affect the Breezehome. My problem started last night when I first bought Breezehome in Whiterun. I was given the key and the book and upon reading it (noticed the addition of the Children's room option Which, apparently takes the place of the Alchemy lab - guessing that's Hearthfire since it wasn't there in previous versions) I then made some furnishing upgrades. Or tried to. For some reason the Master Bedroom upgrade to Breezehome isn't available. It doesn't even show up in optional upgrades, in the dialogue. Is this a DLC problem or just a random glitch? I've tried to reload and it still won't appear. In case it helps I am using the Unofficial Skyrim Patch in addition to the Unofficial Hearthfire/Dawnguard/Dragonborn patches as well.
  5. Fantastic! I'll try this right away. Thank you so much. I really was concerned about doing a full reinstall (only to find that - probably - wouldn't have even fixed whatever was going wrong) Thanks again! Update: All's well that ends well. I have my mods (most of them) showing up in the Data Files now. Had to reinstall like you said. It turns out whatever that update was it no longer allows me to load mods into Skyrim with WinRAR. It's very strange. However I can unzip them with WinRAR and then use NNM to install and activate them. Nothing appears to change in the Data folder of my ...Common\Skyrim\Data folder either way. So whatever is happening that makes a difference between WinRAR and NMM is happening behind the scenes. But oh well. Mods are back in the game so I'm happy!
  6. Bump bump. I'd very much appreciate any help on this. Even if the only answer is "reinstall Skyrim". I don't want to try fixing something that is broken in a way that I don't know. Brief recap: Old Skyrim - Mods showed up in Data Files button. Mods worked. Updated Skyrim - Mods don't show up in Data Files, Mods don't work/exist/execute. Mod installer used: WinRAR. Nave never had an issue with it before.
  7. Sounds similar to my problem right now. My mods are not showing up in the Data Files tab. Please note: The Date Files button IS clickable. Nothing is showing up there. And yes, I'm sure that's where the mods show up. They showed up there and worked in Skyrim, until Friday when I decided to connect to Steam and update Skyrim. After that little headache was finished my mods vanished. Can't find them in "Date Files". They are installed. They show up in the ...\common\skyrim\data folder, but they are not executing. I have no clue how to fix this or what broke.
  8. I was 'bout to request this myself. That would be so cool! Though, I wouldn't mind if they were summoned weapons that came with like a random enchantment on them. (Fire, Shock damage and/or Magika Drain)
  9. No good. Tried to replace it, then ran Skyrim, but no luck. (This is what I get for updating Skyrim I guess. Should have known Steam would manage to mess up my working game) One more thing of importance: My character and progress are still exactly where I left off. It's just the mods that went missing.
  10. Hey I'd like to just add I'm having this exact same issue. For me, I tried to update Skyrim by going into Online mode with Steam and that crashed the game. Now, after that was fixed, I can't find any of my mods. None of them are showing up in the Date Files button, which IS available to be clicked on (It's not grayed out). I've tried reinstalling several of the mods (I'm using WinRAR which has never given me problems before), redownloaded them and reinstalled them, even tried a direct copy of all mods I had (for Skyrim) from a Mod Folder I created for the sole purpose of serving to keep a back up copy so I wouldn't have to redownload it all. So... help?
