How big my saves are is not the problem, because my biggest one (Maia level 34) is 391 Kb. So I started with disabling what you said (which is HD textures DLC and the unnoficial patch of that) but I only ended up getting an infinite loading screen when I left the cell I was in (Falkreath hearthfire home)... does an infinite loading screen still mean its the same problem as when a CTD happens? I'm starting to just wanna give up lol

^bump^ I really want to be able to play my skyrim save again and I desperately need help, because I am really not that good with mods and technical issues. Much appreciated <3

I cleaned my plugins now (including the master files) and I didn't get to converting my mods to Mod organizer yet, but I think it's because I found the problem.. I ran Memory Blocks Log while I was playing skyrim until CTD's happened a few times, and the problem is that everytime it crashes its because ive reached the limit of the memory blocks... so with Gophers help i changed the SKSE.ini so that my memory blocks log is now DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=1024 and ScrapHeapSizeMB=512, but my game still crashes at the older block limit... did I do something wrong in that process? Because I have followed every step of Gopher's tutorial like he said :P atleast I am pretty certain now my problem is because of that

Okay so, thank you so much for the answers, I did something with them :tongue: I started a new game, it didn't crash right away, it lasted for 53 minutes until the first CTD. However my main save who is level 35 CTD's much quicker. I wanted to clean them, but I found a lot of people on the internet saying don't do that, so I withheld myself from that since I'm already not the handiest.. should I though? I am currently watching Gopher's videos on Mod Organizer and I'm gonna collect information first and then do the trick with Mod Organizer and hoped it works. I don't know what wryebash does and I saw TES5 edit is officially a mod and I have become hesitant of downloading mods, or is this the kind of mod that you can add without problems?

Oh wow thats a really weird way for a game to work, but thank you for telling me :tongue: I'll look up some guides on how to work around that then and pray that it works :tongue: And I did check with every mod if it was in the proper load order, but there are some mods that i haven't looked at in a long time and I may need to do some adjusting, lately I came upon 2 big spiders even though I had a no spiders mod installed, I have arachnaphobia so I was mortified, I then saw it was really high in my load order and the mod said ''as low as possible'', so yeah I do need to do some tweaking :pinch: Im just all over the place with everything lol

Ultimate HD Fire Effects - Ultimate HD Fire Effects -Ultra Version- Static Mesh Improvement Mod Skyrim HD - 2K Textures - COMPLETE FULL Ruins Clutter Improved No Snow Under The Roof Unofficial High Resolution Patch - Unofficial High Resolution Patch So this might sound confusing, but I had the ''Skyrim HD mod'' and ''Ruins clutter improved'' installed before I downloaded ''Static Mesh improvement mod''. (SMIM) However, I had to install them after SMIM for overwrite reasons so I deinstalled those. Then I installed the unnoficial high resolution patch. Then I installed ''SMIM'', ''no snow under roof'' and ''HD fire effects''. After this I installed ''Skyrim HD mod'' and ''ruins clutter improved''. But my Skyrim HD and ruins clutter improved were already installed before without problems so I think the problem lies with the other mods..

I haven't tried that yet (removing them and going back to older save), but that is because the save file before those mods is already quite some levels ago and i did alot of grinding for my new armor set that I'd rather not repeat all over again.. if there is no other way I will have to do that, but if there is another way I would rather try that out first :P If I remove them won't that fix it either (without going back to the old save)? I'm not even completely sure which save file was the one before the mods, ehh oops xD Thanks for the tip also! I didn't know adding mods during an active save would damage it.. it's parculiar, but yeah, I started my skyrim unmodded and without mod knowledge so I just threw alot of them in there when I noticed how many mods there are for skyrim... I regret that now

Hi people! So I have been getting CTD's sometimes since downloading more than 50 mods but it was never a problem, until now. Every hour or so (and sometimes at random) I get a CTD... I just wanted to download the romance mod but now I'm really scared doing that will break my game even more. I installed 3 mods extra before the many CTD's, but they don't take up a lot of performance and technically shouldn't be a problem because I have a new very good gaming pc. Well to be completely honest, my boyfriend helped me pick the best parts for my budget of 950 euro's, so I quite literally only did the building hehe (and just stuff like oh this one is pretty) :P I have knowledge of what every part does, but knowing which one is the best is a skill I do not have haha ^^ also thank you! :happy:

Name: Maia Race: Bosmer (wood elf)Specialized: Sneak archery & destruction magic Short: Maia was born into a clan of Bosmer in The summerset isles, who never got involved in others bussiness and never helped because of that, because they thought that was right. However Maia did not agree with that, she knew what was going on outside Summerset Isles and wanted to help and for that she was banished from the clan. She travelled to Skyrim to set out her mission. Out of desperation and sickness she did bad things, but saw the Helgen dragon attack as a sign to start over, so she did. Long: Maia was born into clan of Bosmer who had an unspoken rule that they never got involved in other's bussinesses and especially didn't like warmongering, they thought that was a good way to live. As a young child Maia already saw the flaw in that when she noticed what horrible war was happening outside of the summerset isles; the civil war. She couldn't stand to know that people could be in danger and she wanted to help, her clan and family did not agree with that at all and said if she talked more about it or brought it up she would be banished from the clan. She was ridiculed for being idealistic. Maia couldn't believe they had so much power to help but they only stood and watched. She couldn't resist to protest and at the age of 19 she tried to convince other people to help her in her fight, but nonetheless, the clan found out and she was banished. Maia travelled to Skyrim with nothing but courage and a wooden bow she got from her mother. She didn't know anything about archery yet, so she began to teach herself the skill by hunting animals. As winter came in Skyrim and Maia only had leather robes to protect her from the cold, she began to get sick and hid out in her little hut, waiting for it to be over. Then one night a thieves guild member tried to rob her, she caught him and he took use of her weakness and persuaded her into joining the thieves guild. He said they didn't actually hurt people and only made sure that bussiness went smoothely in Riften, in return for helping the guild she would get money... Maia being sick and desperately wanting money for warm clothes and a roof accepted it, without knowing what she was getting into. She got caught in the web of the guild and couldn't stop anymore, until one day she was caught by imperial guards while she was stealing very important jewels. Maia was send to Helgen for execution right away. When the dragon Alduin attacked, she escaped and saw it as a sign that she could begin anew. She stopped working for the thieves guild and used her newfound Dragonborn power to help people and aid them in whatever she could. She got interested in magic and learned that skill at the college, later becoming Arch-Mage for her great efforts. During her adventures Maia met Eryniel, a Bosmer who was raised by spriggans when her parents dropped her in the woods. Eryniel was so pure and sweet and Maia almost immediatly fell in love with her, Eryniel felt so trusted unlike anyone in this world she taught. They bonded even more over their adventures together and soon got married and adopted a child. Maia still continued to help the people of Skyrim and did not intend to stop there. Maia is someone who is sarcastic and can come over harshly, but she has a heart of gold and once she trusts people, she will be their most loyal friend.

Hey! I saw the option to 'introduce' myself and I thought hey that's a good idea, so here it goes ^^ My real name is Eva and I'm 19 years old, my username LunarCharm comes from a combination of characters in the game league of legends which I was really obsessed with. :tongue: I'm a pc gamer since I came out of the womb (just kidding, from when I was 7) and I'm the type of person who solely focusses on 1 game for a really long time and then switches again, a season gamer or whatever :') Right now I play Skyrim mostly, but I feel myself getting bored with that so soon I am probably gonna switch :tongue: I like to switch my type of game, I'm slowly getting into shooters, but RPG/MMORPG will always be my favourite and strategy games like Age of empires I enjoy from time to time :smile: I recently build my very own gaming computer and my games can finally handle mods yay! So I'm really addicted to modding at the moment and that's what brought me here ^^ I have never been on a forum before but I love talking with other people who game as well so I thought I'd give it a try.. Hello! So I'm new to the nexus and I wanted to post a comment with a picture under a topic... I don't want a link, I want the people to immediately see the picture. I already have 2 skyrim screenshots ready, but the ''attach files'' option says that my pictures are too big to be added... I don't know how to fix that so can anybody help?
