  1. For some reason my SKSE_loader v 0.1.6.14 no longer works. When I try to start it I get a message window which says "Failed to initialise renderer. Your display doesn't support the selected resolution. Please set a different resolution in Skyrim's Launcher under Display Settings." Firstly why, suddenly is my display not supporting the resolution that I have always used? Secondly when I try to open Skyrim Launcher all I get is a screen which wants to install Skyrim! This for a game I have played since its' inception! Can anyone tell me if this is a SKSE problem or a Steam problem? Should I rephrase that to "....one of Steam's many problems?" If by dint of side-stepping all of this I get into my Steam account I have the same problem. All of my games are listed but the only facility I have with all of them is to install..............I cannot play. Bummer. Can anyone out there please help me out of my frustration?
  2. Recently I have been suffering from a glitch or bug in my games. When I take items, weapons, apparel, etc., but not money or potions, from bodies, chests, ground or whatever they are immediately equipped. This is a pain since it can reduce my armour from 270 to a mere 50 without my realizing it. I have been killed so many times for not realizing the idiocy has occurred. Has anyone else got this problem and is there a fix for it?
  3. "Does anyone know when Bethesda might release a software patch for Skyrim?" I suspect, from past experience with other games, that you have more chance of living 'til the 25th century than get any response from Bethesda. They only have one topic of interest.........banking the money of poor schmucks like us who buy the games.
  4. The adoption mod is long overdue. With so many houses in so many towns why limit the adoption to two? With so many not-so-useful mods around how come this one has been missed? If I were lucky enough to be smart enough to make a mod this is one I would certainly undertake.
  5. I don't know if any progress was/has been made on this particular suggestion but it surely should have taken place by now. Or are autumnsky38 and I a majority of two?
  6. Did it not occur to you that a lot of people like/prefer video tutorials ? Perhaps video tutorials would be more popular if one could understand the vocal content. Personally I try to avoid them since most of those which I have "attempted" to view have been totally unintelligible. It appears that the speakers, generally not totally, fear that they are going to run out of time and be unable to say all they wish. Many run all of the words into one long inconsequential sentence which is, to say the least, annoying to those attempting to decipher them. As a child I was taught to speak "clearly and distinctly" an all-too often neglected lesson these days. I often have to tell my grandchildren to "slow down, you are gabbling". Perhaps those who make video tutorials should study the problem which is often also a characteristic of television persons.
