Ketaroz replied to Lorixia's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion

Strange random CTD, what's going on?
Ketaroz replied to linyuheng2000's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
It happened with me twice this weekend too... very silent CTD, no report log, and in 2 very random occasions... I don't think it is MOD.. I have suspect of ENB, and something with the new Texture pack... good to know I was not the only one... -

Ketaroz replied to OtongCoeg's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Otong, you lost me when you claim that don't want to use Vortex or Mod Organizer... sorry man... If you want to make things harder for no reason, you will bring questions reasons here for no reason as consequence. peace! -

Looking for graphics mods n such for my playthrough
Ketaroz replied to TentacleFunTime's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Try this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7657 It's the one I stoped on, so far it's the best and perfect for me, hope it helps. About ENB, find one that get closer to what you like and tackle it to fine tune. Best -

Of course you can finish without it... IMHO, it does fixes a lot of bugs, and I never had any crash... so, better start with. -

I was trying to be agnostic on my first post, and giving him the hint of start plain, but PLEASE go improving along the way... do the whole game with no mods, it is not the best... I bet all of you guys here, can't consider playing FO4 with a handfull of 5 to 10 must haves. He needs to create his, but go adding.. I think this guy here made a VERY good video about it, a little outdated now, but might give some good ideas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DsRlg3WUP8 (i dont agree a 100%, but its a good start, watch around some of the "essencial" mod videos, helps a lot to find out) best -

Go just with the Unnoficial. Because you will not understand yet how important and how much some things needs to be fixed and improved if you don’t taste the raw. You will neve be able to fully appreciate a wonderful complex wine if that is the very first wine you’re drinking. But, do like this: - start with the unofficial only. During the game everytime you think something is bad or could be better, look at Nexus. One of the most pleasant things is to molding the game like you play. Maybe in 10mins you will realize Scrap Everythjng is a must, maybe not, maybe you need a better UI for items sorting, maybe not... Good luck! -
Sometimes a MOD is done, even with bugs. Oh btw, sometimes a whole game is launched full of bugs, cost $50+ and is never fixed... move on... Till today ppl message my old email about some mods I did for Never Winter Nights Back in 2006.. yes, 13 years ago.. and most of them requesting me to update or fix... really!? Anyway. What I am trying to say is that sometimes a mod is done on the concept of the author. Even with imperfections. I have here in Nexus Skyrim mods I have not touch or reply the boards for more than 5 years... are they abandoned? You bet they are not. My 2 cents

Okay... I have not modded for Skyrim for more than 4 years... Guess what... I got a deal to get the Skyrim SE at my PS4, and guess what, the old love came back.) I have some mods, done long time ago, that I would like to make avaliable to SE in PS4. Can someone one spread some light on it for me? What I will have to do? The steps? OKAY! I know it can be an extremely noobie question... please.. be nice.... this just a old school modder, from the time PC was the only "modable" Skyrim... just catching up... Best, Ket

Well.. Tryed more them 30.. The best for me: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20781 Good luck! Ket

Wow..This idea is great... Just 2 small considerations: 1- The best solution on my opnion will be that script perking at the game start... regular enchanting will crash the meaning of this mod. 2- RAISE those bonus and penalties... just how the game works... +2.. +5, -3 of bonus is VERY low to make some diference... will not worth any player the trouble on changing cloths just to do some specific action... I think you should be working on +10, +15... +30 and -10, -20.. that ranges... aint totaly sure, but worths to test this... Hope you do it okm finish and release it.. I will use it! :) Ket

Not sure... A great ENB setup... gladly I still have my copy of it. Ket

LE Automatically Enabled Perks
Ketaroz replied to MTichenor's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
Well, Yes, there is... Create a Perk and add it to the Player actor instance. Is that? Ket -
Yes. (quick answer) :)

OK... I posted a NEW Two-Handed branch idea on first post. (blue squares = Bethesda/Vanilla nothing changed). I made SEVERAL tests... like tested a lot, compared, and... well... some folks here were right.. My focus was ONLY at the Two-Handed perk tree, so here my considerations for the new version I posted: 1st - It makes a lot difference on game/character progression if If I ask more points to get certain perk branches advantages... What it means? Means, I cant change much the Bethesda branches... so I will have to focus more on give MORE options, but never excel or minimize what exist already. 2nd - If I change much bethesda branches I will be screewing many followers and npcs that has progressions based on those... 3rd - Its pretty OK I create new options on the Perk branch, but leave the regular one most as possible intact. (Blue ones). That has 2 great advantages: 1st - more conservative players will acepted easyer the fact im nor overhauling their game, Im just creating door for new possibilities... and those more god-power seeker will be able to focus and reach what they look for on the new possibilities... SO I ASK NOW... specialy for some guys who replyed here, does the Two-Handed Branch makes more sense now? Ket

But Jack... That pool of bonuses/buffs related with the perks your are choosing for what you want your character gettign better at is EXACLY what makes him get specialized... What I mean is, that HAS to happen, thats normal and supose to happens while the player dedicate a perk point... About perks that can unballance, well, I try at most avoid this to happens, but we can only be sure testing. Ket
-
Well, This normaly happens when you're wearing armors/wepons that doest have the version for the race youre changing to. At least it happened with me a lot when testing armors while modding, them I figured this out... The work around is Undress and Drop all items before change race, even clean-up your whole iventory would be good. Doing this I realy didnt got more CTD. Hope this helps, Ket

Man... Im KINDA doing this already... cause the 2 biggest perks mod became abandoned by its authors, and I do love and belive perks are needed to improove... So, feel free to hop in: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/869694-immersive-perks-mod/ Your feedbacks and ideas will be very welcome. Ket
-
Well... If your problem is really about directory, I do belive they are: data\music\any_name I use this directory for my mod "30 Amazing Blockbuster Soundtracks" for Skyrim, and it works very nicely. BUT make sure also you are creating the .XWM files properly. Ket

Sjogga, Maybe you right about the Spell Sword, I need more futher testing, 8 Perks Point away from your character, didnt seems that far... Thats the thing, you cant look at the new perk branches with the same mind about the last ones, indeed there will be WAY more Perks, that means WAY more options, thats why ppl using this mod need to be focused on WHAT they are planning to do with their characters, those who buys skill randonly sometimes, can have a real problem. Well, so far I did the 3 main perks related with Weapons, so to say 1H, 2H and Bows, and if you realize the branches works to make a profession on the use of each. For that ppl will need to be focused, theres no more options on have ALL perks of a branch... your character will be lil-good on many things and sucking at all. BUT.. for power-players, those who uses uncaps mods, perk tradings for dragon souls, elixir of perks, etc... that mods will be a MUST have. I do belive. Ket

Ok guys! Update the first post with the Marksman branch done. Also, I got already a file with this 3 perks branch working, im looking now for Alpha Testers... anyone? Plz, alpha testers, means I need ppl testing and giving me feedback... Ket

Hey, Brownsing around the web about Skyrim... I reached this: http://english.rice.edu/Content.aspx?id=2147483658 I found that so cool... does anyone know anyone here, player or modder, who is taking this course? :P Ket

HEhe.. Exacly Hang... thats what I mean in the first post when I said: "and surely they go even futher..." And they are not immersive... Other day I asked on a site devoted to this kind of physics for Skyrim for a FAT model, realy FAT looking... not strong as we got on slider to heavy on body gen.. I meant FAT persons realy... Got 1 reply only... hehe... Ket
