  1. Before reading any further you should note that there are SPOILERS ahead. Dawnguard, such an fantastic DLC with such an Ok story. It was only recently that I completed the DLC, or so I thought. I retrieved the Auriel's Bow, made both Blood- and Sunbathed arrows and was left hanging there. It took me some time, but I finally realized that this was in fact not the ending and I've been missing out on the very last quest; the confrontation with the Headvampire (Can't really recall his name (Hakron?)). The actual problem? Well; The quest Kindred Judgment, wich should be activated automatically after obtaining the bow, never actually did. I've been dealing with quite some bugs and glitches over the course of my gameplay due to both modding and core game flaws, so this has just become one of many and I'm beginning to 'not care as much'' anymore. I did however tried to find some answers on several forums and found some people with the same problem, though noone really had a definite solution. The most apparent one was just to load an older save from before the quest and trying it again. But as you can imagine, since it took me some time to even realize that I was having a problem, I have already overwritten that file. Someone else adviced turning off all the mods and trying it again, though this seems to go hand in hand with loading a previous save. Then there was one more: trying to use the console to force the quest with the following commands: completequest DLC1VQ08 resetquest DLC1VQ08 setstage DLC1VQ08 10 Though, this did not work for me. The first command actually made the completion message pop up, the other two didn't seem to do anything. So! I'd like to warn others of using mods while doing the questline. I'm using the following Dawnguard related mods: Better Vampires DVA Daedric Crossbow Dawnguard armor retexture mods Vampire Lord flying mod. I'm guessing that any of these may or may not be conflicting with the questline, just be aware. And if someone knows of a solution or console command that might actually work, please let me know! Would apreciate any input. Thanks for reading and Good Luck!
  2. Hello, I've been searching around quite a while now. But I simply can't find the perfect hair mod that 'works' for me. Though I did recently stumble upon a screenshot of a character with very fancy hair, though I failed to find out what hair it was. I was hoping that maybe someone on here does! Or maybe someone knows about an hair mod that is quite similair to this one? Thanks!
  3. It is SOLVED! I did a much more intensive search this time around and looked up every single tweak I made, compatibilty requirements etc etc. Re-installed every single mod one by one on a clean save as you suggested. And Valkasha be praised, I found the problem; Skyrim Realistic Weather Overhaul. Though I must admit that it raises a few more questions as; Why now? I had that mod some time already. Anyway, you certainly made my day and I thank you for it! -- On side note; This method of re-installing gave me the opportunity to check each and every mod with Loot. And it sorted out some Dirty Plugins that I wasn't able to find before; -Fx Lighting Fix (for the Whiterun texture overhaul) -Bard's Lute -Cloaks of Skyrim I have heard of some mods that actually require the dirty part, so I just want to know; Is it ok to use these despite them being a dirty plugin? I'm aware of the Tes5edit cleaning option, but as using that for mods isn't exactly recommended for non-modders, I just need to know a yes or no for those three.
  4. I tried disabling mods before and it did not work and as I said in the original post, I discovered the problem on a newly made character and after that found that it was in all my saves. So unfortunately, knowledge of where it started is not within my grasp. But for the sake of double checking; -Disabled the hair mod - no results -Disabled Aurora and Twilight mod - no results -Disabled Follower Tweak - no results -Tried any combination of disabling enabling these - no results -Disabled all of them, made a brand new character and went back to Whiterun - Ever present Water Square Could it be that this is a problem within the original Skyrim Folders? And if so, shouldn't it be fixed after re-installing Skyrim completely like I did? This has got to be the weirdest thing I've ever encountered in a game. Any more ideas? And thank you for even taking the time to help out a random scrub!
  5. 0C - zzDreadlocks.esp (gonna guess this is part from a Hair modeling mod) 27 - AuroraFollower.esp 28 - AmazingFollowerTweaks.esp
  6. Hey, Is there any specific spot I should click? Cause depending on what angle or spot I'm clicking I'm getting different codes. (ff000c01) - When clicked on top as shown in screenshot (27000d9b) (27000d7d) - All from below/ Different spots (28000d84)
  7. Swimming NPC directly underneath the Floating Water Square.
  8. Update: Re-installed everything, problem persists. Tried to find out if the problem was coming from a mod. Turned off several mods one by one. At some points the problem actually got fixed, though after some minutes it came back. Thought it'd be a problem with my water mods, but even without those the problem is there. Tried to see if it had anything to do with the Whiterun Retexture mod, but no. I'm running out of ideas here and it's pretty depressing to have half the city covered in water. Hope someone has a lead for me! Thank you P.S. Could it have anything to do with the Whiterun Mansion mod (Player Home) Mod? Haven't tried to start it up without that yet cause I've filled the mansion with a lot of gear and followers. Also it's not actually in the Whiterun city and I had this mod long before the problem occured.
  9. Well I'm kind of a scrub to this myself and so I have no idea about the vsync part. What I did find though is that when you install certain ENB's you get this extra information when you launch the game. Then when you press Shift+ F12 it opens up another menu. It was in this menu that I found an FPS lock button, wich by default, would lock it at 60. It's kind of a shot in the dark, but maybe it helps.
  10. Hello I've recently encountered a problem and I failed to find a solution. There appears to be a big square in the sky above Whiterun, everything beneath it is treated as if it was actually underwater. This means that I can actually swim all the way up into the sky. Sounds ridicolous I know! Another thing is; It's only actually INSIDE Whiterun, meaning that if I leave the frontgate it disappears. I didn't have any game crashes recently and I have not changed my mod loadorder or setup in any way for the last two days. Before that I've been playing around with ENB settings but stopped that when I had something I was comfortable with. Though, there was a new character created before the square appeared, this character actually encountered it for the first time. After that I found that all my save games had the same problem. I'll include some screenshots to shed some light on things. ---------------------------- LOOT Loadorder; I've tried multiple things from reïnstalling the entire mod setup to minor tweaks. Only thing I have not done is completely reïnstall Skyrim. If anyone could try to point me in the right direction towards solving this then I'd be really happy. Any help, little or a lot would be reall appreciated. Thanks for reading. -Grinphase
