Concerning shutdown issues, I haven't had those in a while. I'll try to contact them directly to see if they can help because the options in their advice section for downloads didn't really help. Do you think Epic support might be helpful too?

Just tried out your guys' methods and it's not 100% obvious that it's working properly now but I'm currently at a stable 5+ MB/s. I'll come back later with updates Edit: It flatlined after about 20 minutes but came back to 4 MB before dropping to KB and has flatlined again

Windows 10 Home, Version 1909 and the OS build is 18363.1316 if that helps. How would I go about upgrading to the same version? If I do that would it affect anything else on my system because apparently more things are connected than I thought on this system? I had to delete and reinstall Steam when I was testing to see if I could fix the issue but in the process it deleted all my games from the Epic Launcher as well.

So I've had this issue for a few months now but I figured asking on here was a good solution. Recently my desktop starting having this problem where it wouldn't turn off normally when I clicked the shutdown option, the longest I waited to see if this was the case was 40 minutes, which led me to forcibly shut it down while the shutting down message was displayed. I use Windows 10 if that info helps. After that it entered into a self-repair mode and completed that process. Now, I've not had that shutdown problem as often and my system works seemingly the same as before, however neither my Steam or Epic Launchers will consistently download games anymore. There are brief intervals where I will get enough download speed to install something over say the course of a few hours but most times they get around 8-10 MB before flatlining. I've tried changing download regions and cache clearing and everything else I could find but the issue remains. I'd love to hear if any of you have ever experienced something this confusing before. I'm not great at computer usage but I do learn little by little and would appreciate any help available.

So here's my scenario. I've had constant problems with Steam failing to download my games these past 4 weeks same thing with Epic Games. Reached a point where Steam allowed me to download Skyrim SE again and I managed to have a mostly crash free playthrough. Eventually though, my steam decided that Skyrim wasn't installed and wouldn't show a "Play" button but instead the blue "Install" button. I left it alone for a few days because I could still bypass and play through MO2 but it kept bugging me so I pressed it and the main files were deleted and re-installed. Do to the downloading issues I'm having this sucked but I got it to finish today after work and did the whole auto clean process with SSEEdit but now I can't go into Dragonsreach. I can post my load order if necessary but I can't even enter when I launch the game normally without mods. Any help would be greatly appreciated

So I downloaded Gopher's mod to all but remove the hud with a single button press and I thought it was awesome. However, I noticed that for some reason after just a few minutes of playing, i become unable to see in-game notifications such as items NPCs give me, how much gold i pick up or notifications about quicksaving and mod configuration changes. I checked the tick boxes that came with the mod but notifications doesn't seem to be a feature which gives me the idea that something is being overridden somehow. Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated if anyone knows what I'm talking about. EDIT: Disregard. Turns out this was a bug with earlier versions of Complete Crafting Overhaul

Thank's for the reply. Apparently Steam doesn't generate reasonable screenshot sizes but I'm glad you got the gist. I will try to look through Shiva's guide again because I might have read it and missed something before. What I found most confusing was the fact that only Nords are really affected by the issue and because of the slight specification im kinda worried about changing something that was already fine.

I'm relatively new to modding and I've been utilizing tutorials and other forums to keep myself afloat in this journey. Recently however, I've been unable to find the source of my missing facegen issue right now. After consistent tweaking and taking a month long break I found a way to keep named characters unaffected by this issue but the majority of generic NPCs (guards, bandits, etc.) all have brown faces and necks and I'm stumped at how to continue.
