  1. I recently got back from a vacation to Disney World. Visited Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Built a lightsaber in Savi's Workshop. Figured I'd ask if its possible to add the lightsaber parts from Savi's Workshop in this game.
  2. I know I'll probably catch criticism for this since other people thought it was a dumb idea, but I doesn't hurt to ask. I'm a huge fan of George A Romero. As such, I was actually pleasantly surprised to find out that Romero directed a U.S. live action trailer for Resident Evil 2 back in the 90's. So I figured I'd request a mod that pays tribute to the man himself. I was hoping that one of you modders out there could make a game mode that allows the player to put down regular zombies with a single headshot, but balances the game by increasing the amount of zombies in game OR reducing the amount of available ammo. And just to be clear, ONLY NORMAL ZOMBIES CAN BE PUT DOWN WITH A SINGLE HEAD SHOT. Lickers and other enemy types should be left alone. Would also be cool if it could work en-tandem with that new First Person Perspective mod that came out, but not a deal breaker if not.
  3. Just wondering if we could get an add-on for Sim Settlements that allows the NPC's to decorate the settlements based on the month your game is currently set. Kind of in the same way that Diamond City puts up Christmas Decorations in December. Imagine coming back to your Boston Airport settlement to find that the whole place is decorated for Halloween with Jack o lanterns and Halloween Colored lights! In November, you see a large line of tables and chairs set up outside in Hangman's Alley for Thanksgiving. Vault 88 is completely decking the halls with Christmas Trees! and to top it off, the settlers of Sanctuary Hills are busy grilling and shooting off fireworks to celebrate the 4th! And to make it feel all the more special, the settlers in each settlement will take down the decorations when said holidays have passed.
  4. EDIT: Does work. Just requires some work to get running if you have the following error message. Tried express download of the program. Gave me the following error messages: " - Symlink Deployment- Doesn't work with games based on the gamebryo engine (including Skyrim SE and Fallout 4) - Symlink Deployment (Run as Admin)- Doesn't work with games based on the gamebryo engine (including Skyrim SE and Fallout 4) - Hardlink Deployment - works only if mods are installed on the game drive as the game. You can go to settings and change the mod directory to the same drive as the game - Move deployment (Experimental!) - Works only if mods are installed on the same drive as the game. You can go to settings and change the mod directory to the same drive as the game." Go to your Mods tab. select a location for the Mods Path field. Make a new folder (name it whatever is easiest to remember). Select that. Then hit apply.
  5. Hey guys. Just wanted you to know that I'm currently working on the script. The process is going slow since I'm researching all the paths the player can take in quest mods as well as collecting a list of all the Vanilla quests (including the misc. ones) so I can keep track of whats done and needs to be done. I only recently found some misc quests I missed when I was playing the game on console way back before I built my PC rig.
  6. An interesting idea for an addition. But right now, I think the project 'as is' is going to be alot of work. I'd still like later versions of the mod to include new, popular lore-friendly mods AND a unique quest mod. However, if you would like to work alone on the quest portion of the mod, I can write up a script for the quest. But there's some issues: 1.) Need time to write up the script. Gonna take a while. So you might be waiting a while. 2.) You would be working with Pra and all the other mod authors interested on how to integrate your work with their's. 3.) Also need you to pick up the slack when your part is done. So your going to have to commit to bringing this mod to completion. If you'd like to experiment with how your idea could work, you may as well do so now while you wait.
  7. Some good news: Already secured permission to discuss the Operation Manhattan quest mod, Hilda Hughes quest mod, & the David Hunter quest mod! Also got a really quick response from the mod author behind Duke & Armstrong (skinnytechboy). He's interested, but wants to know if we will be running a script to detect esps. Sure. I'd love to hear a sample.
  8. Can you do a southern accent? Lucky was built for the Las Vegas strip, after all. If not, how about a Boston accent?
  9. Alright. Will we make this a group project? Whose up for it?
  10. Wow! I honestly didn't expect so much interest! Now that I know there's actual interest in this idea, All that needs to be done is writing up a script and getting the appropriate permissions from the mod authors. One more thing I withheld: The backstory of the DJ/Announcer of Nexus Radio. This will also require using another persons mod if you guys think this can also get a quest attached to it. ======== Backstory: ======== Nexus Radio is operated by Lucky. Lucky is a Securitron whom was originally supposed to be shipped to Las Vegas to the Lucky 38 Casino before the war. Unfortunately (or rather very fortunately) for Lucky, he was boxed up when the bombs fell. Lucky was eventually unboxed by a few Ghouls from The Slog during an expedition into General Atomics, and sold to the town of Good Neighbor. Since then, Lucky has been working at the Third Rail under the scummy pincer of Whitechapel Charlie. Lucky hates working for Charlie. The two trade barbs when Lucky isn't filling rowdy bar patrons full of lasers. But in his off hours, Lucky has been tinkering with his own radio station. Hoping someday he can make the caps to do nothing but keep his radio station on the air 24/7. Who knows: Maybe someone out there will help Lucky. There is a mod by m150 that adds a securitron to the game. So it would be a matter of asking for there permission to use said mod, IF we can add a quest later down the line.
  11. Well, I had this idea for a radio station with a news anchor that not only plays music & puts a new spin on your actions during vanilla quests, but also reports on your progress on popular lore-friendly quest mods and companion mods. Maybe even fully-voiced interviews with popular companions. Did you survive Vault 1080? Did you decide to hire Duke & Armstrong? Did you make contact with the Enclave in America Rising? Wanna hear a whacky interview between the news anchor of Nexus Radio and The Storyteller? Do you want to hear reports of your sweet new APC driving all across the commonwealth? Well, tune in to Nexus Radio! Also had the idea of making this mod a quest mod, too. Not entirely sure how I want the quest to play out. But I already have the News Anchor's background story worked out. The only obvious problems that I have are the following: 1.) I don't have a script yet. Its just a really awesome idea at this stage. Really holding off on writing it because of the other problems listed below. 2.) I'm sadly not a modder. So I would have to reach out to mod authors who feel like this mod idea is worth there time. All I can do is provide a script and voice the news anchor (until a better voice actor can be found). 3.) Getting permission from the mod authors to mention their mods in this mod. 4.) Getting the amazing voice talents who have voiced some of the most popular companion mods and quest mods here on the site to record lines for proposed interviews. What do you guys think? Too ambitious to even attempt? Possible in the hands of the right mod authors?

  13. I recently came across a website that allows you to take photos of your own face and create a 3D model of it. The website is a "Proof of Concept" for some facial recognition software developed in the UK back in 2017. It seems they want the program to be open source since the code is available on GitHub. The website offers an online demo of the technology. You can upload photos of yourself and get a 3D model of your face. I tried it myself with some old photos. The results are uncanny. It would be amazing if this could be adapted as a Fallout 4 mod to add your very own face into the game like a character preset file. Sadly, I'm guessing this would be too difficult for a single mod author to do. But maybe an enterprising team of mod authors could take a crack at it. http://aaronsplace.co.uk/papers/jackson2017recon/ http://cvl-demos.cs.nott.ac.uk/vrn/view.php?name=ae0c4333f347b99bb44c97c981f340d3
  14. Ah crap. Okay, how about a mod that allows songs to be swapped out for MP3 files on your computer? That way I can swap out the song myself.
  15. Just wondering if anyone could make a simple mod to swap out the song from the beginning of the game with the Motorhead cover of the same song. I never really liked the version they used.
  16. I tried out Fallout 4 VR recently...I hate the movement controls. Having to teleport around is awful! I can't even fight radroaches on Easy without getting owned. Not having the full freedom of movement is horrible! And then I recently played a game that PROVES the track-pad on the HTC VIVE can be used to move just like a joystick or WASD. The game is called "Ready Player One: Oasis Beta". Its a movie tie in game that was made by HTC VIVE. The game is divided into 3 mini games. One of the games is called "Planet DOOM". And you can "Strafe" as the game calls it. But its EXACTLY what I think Fallout 4 VR should have used! You can actually BACK UP if a fight is a little too tough and you need to shoot while retreating. I don't suppose there's any way to incorporate that into Fallout 4 VR?
