  1. Is there a mod that makes sneaking more challenging and interesting? Being able to "sneak" right in someone's face practically standing in a light source gets boring after a while.
  2. I always thought they missed a huge opportunity for awesomeness by not letting you take Toshiro from Mothership Zeta as a companion. Does the idea appeal to anyone else?
  3. I caved and gave myself 20 dogtags with the console just to be done with it lol Legion power armor mod is EPIC.
  4. I'm getting close to using the console. Did the arena, gave them the firing mechanism, did suspicion, I started Spell on You too early so couldn't do that legion, but Ive also turned in about 10 dogtags. Still won't budge from Accepted.
  5. Could use a little help here. Basically, before I move too far ahead in the main quest, I need to get my reputation with Kaisar's Caesar's Legion to "liked" so I can gain access to the safe house to get the lucky shades and free armors (including the awesome Legion power armor mod stuff). I need to do this without ruining my reputation with the NCR. I'm not adverse to doing harm to the NCR, but only as long as it doesn't ruin my rep. So learning about any rep-giving side quests would be helpful. For one, I have the howitzer firing mechanism but I'm hesitant to give it because of what it'll do at the battle...is it that big of a deal when I'm going to throw the rest of my support behind the NCR? Thanks.
  6. Is there a command to make a physics object into a static object? Like, I want to spawn a Dibella statue and make it so that i can't pick it up or knock it over
  7. Becauseno one could possibly like Morrowind or Oblivion more than Skyrim without having a memory distorted by nostaligia, right? Just like people will have the wrong opinion in the future when they like Skyrim more than TESVI. I hope an elitist mocks you in 2014 for "wearin' 'dem rose tinted glasses" for Skyrim being your favorite. Oh, but I'm sure you'll be an exception to the rule and buck this "trend." Right?
  8. The first note fails to mention that it apparently only applies to race changes also. I'm (still) a Dark Elf but changed to female, and my magicka/health/stamina are 140/300/290 respectively, just as they were before.
  9. Morrowind is still the best because it's the most original. Vvardenfell was a really weird place. Oblivion and Skyrim, for all their advancements in graphics and features, will never feel as special because they're essentially generic medieval European fantasy settings that we've seen 1,000 times. That's why I hope the next game is somewhere weird again, like Black Marsh or Elsweyr. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's High Rock. Oblivion 3: Fantasy French People Edition. Yawn.
  10. OK I changed my haircut and my face a little. All my stats are the same. Looks like you're right. In that case I'd guess the bug happens when you change race because all the races have different starting stats, so it has to change them. I'm going to see if I can change my sex without problems. Yep you can change sex. My character is now a tranny. Don't judge me!
  11. That's a shame. I guess later on when I'm not so lazy I can write down all my stats and set them back with the console. Thanks for the info, +1
  12. I've been playing around with the console for a little while (originally to try and fix the broken Blood on the Ice quest and the broken house that goes with it) and just discovered ShowRaceMenu works. I was wondering if there are any known side effects to this yet? I remember in either Morrowind or Oblivion it'd reset you to level 1 or something that. I just want to know if it'll break my character or the game.
  13. Is it possible to make light sources visible with the console, and then delete them? I'm trying to make the Windhelm house the way its supposed to be. I got it as close as possible with the console (quest was broken) but it still has old furniture, broken glass, cobwebs, and most annoyingly: extremely bright light coming from the windows (when I know for a fact its not supposed to look like that when upgraded).
  14. Title says it all. When wearing all four pieces of the Guild Master Armor, it doesn't count as a matching set.
  15. I'm sure many others have noticed this bug with the faster attacks with dual wielding perks. If you have these perks, when you left click while dual wielding, those attacks are noticeably faster. The problem is that the left hand (right click) isn't faster at all. What this means is even though you're supposed to be using both weapons alternately, only one hand is faster, therefore you have no incentive to use your off-hand weapon. To get the most out of your perk you have to use left click attacks only. It kind of defeats the purpose of dual wielding and ruins the fun of dual wielding weapons to begin with. A change needs to be implemented that makes both hands equally fast. And, if possible, makes consecutive attacks with one hand as slow as normal shield-and-sword swings. If the way I wrote this is confusing, someone who knows what I mean please reword it, or I can make a video demonstrating it lol
  16. "complete" (title got cut off. I already have a million souls stored up. Dragon fights are neither hard, epic or enjoyable for me. They're just really irritating and get in the way of what I was originally running around out in the wilderness to do in the first place. I finally had enough and plowed through the MQ hoping that would stop them. I usually save the main quest for last but I just had to get rid of the damn dragons. But...it didn't work. To make sure its not just stragglers, I looked up for what other people are saying on google and it appears they still spawn endlessly even after the main quest. I beg of someone to release a mod that stops them from spawning after the MQ.
  17. Simple solution: bring back Throwing too. Bring back all the Morrowind weapon classes.
  18. It kind of takes the fun out of attacking people unarmed as Khajiit when it has the generic fist fighting sound. FYI Khajiit do 15 extra damage unarmed from "Khajiit Claws" perk, and the animation shows the hands clawing at people and not punching. If it could sound like I'm actually using those claws it would be epic.
  19. I agree. The Nexus allows users to please all the whiney sticklers while the rest of us are generally happy with the game, aside from the obvious technical flaws which don't relate to personal taste and opinion, i.e poor mouse support. OK fanboy. Spare me.
  20. I can't help but agree with the OP. It runs great on my old machine, so far that's the only thing I'm jumping for joy at. - UI is atrocious. Absolutely inexcusably bad. I didn't mind the stock Oblivion UI but this is just beyond awful. I might be able to live with it if the game had full mouse support. - Game does not have full mouse support. WASDing through menus is B.S. - No hotkeys. "Favorite" system sucks and does not make up for the absence of true hotkeys. - Armor has been simplified yet again down to just "armor" (breast plate, shoulders, thighs, forearms is all one piece), helmet, boots and gloves. - Armor doesn't degrade. - You don't select a class. Instead you just activate a stone that gives you a 20% boost in thief/mage/warrior leveling speed. This can be changed at will. - At first glance the world map seems very small, unless most of it is just hidden at the beginning. It seems like a quarter the size of Cyrodiil...maybe a third. - HEALTH REGENERATES. God forbid a gamer be challenged in 2011. This is the biggest problem of all. I'm in awe of it. Thank god for tesnexus and mods. This needs so much work.
  21. Are there any mods out there that have anything to do with the styles and technology of the renaissance and early modern periods? (16th to early 19th centuries) I'm talking puffy shirts, powdered wigs, early firearms and later flintlock muskets and pistols, tricorne and bicorne hats, extravagant uniforms, golden age piracy, rapiers, libertine rakes, etc.
  22. It's my favorite armor because it's so wastelandish with the deterioration and the modifications. I was wondering if a skinner could do a simple job of making a matching power armor helmet for it. I was thinking a reskinned Outcast helmet (with the red parts painted the same shade of yellow on the Ashur/Tribal armor) would be nice. What do you think?
  23. Just as the title says. It's totally silent except for the faint impact sound. Any ideas?
