  1. It had something to do with a mod that created a SKSE configuration file when launching the game the first time. Its why I managed to play for hours after completely re-installing the game and the mods, but started happening again after I launched it a second time (when the configurations kicked in). IIRC, it was Skyrim Reloaded(SKGE). That mod gave me quite a few issues with Enhanced Camera and Lighting Overhaul as well, as it not only included its own First-Person character model, but its own lighting tweaks (the cause of this particular issue). If you have to use that mod for any reason, I recommend going into the SKSE plugins folder, finding the configuration files, and disabling its lighting settings. I also found out it uses the letter 'O' on the keyboard as a shortcut to disable its lighting in-game (getting rid of the ghosting until you either re-start the game or re-enable it), but since I had assigned that key to something else I never figured it out.
  2. I took all precautions and instructions on how to get the mods working nice with each other. However, getting rid of ELFX entirely did not help. 100% sure. I'm using all the patches provided by the authors. Removing all 3 mods did not help. It must be caused by something else, but I have no idea what. I have just uninstalled the game once more and will try to see if any specific mod combination triggers it. Otherwise I'll just keep the game vanilla until the Special Edition comes along, which is a shame.
  3. Hello everyone. I started playing Skyrim again after a quite a few months to prepare for the release of the Enhanced Edition. I never really uninstalled anything, I just didn't play it until now. So, I started a new character, and after the game loaded up in the dungeon of Alternate Start, I immediately noticed some sort of ghosting/image burn-in on screen. I thought maybe it was a glitch, so I restarted the game. Same thing happened, so this time I restarted the PC. That didn't work either, so I checked to see if my GPU drivers were the issue, which it wasn't (didn't even work when I rolled back to the last WHQL certified drivers). Afterwards, I uninstalled all the mods one by one to see which one was causing the issue, which of course, didn't work. I though maybe since I had installed ENBoost that it was the cause, but still no change when I did it. I gave up and cleared every trace of Skyrim I had on my PC and re-installed. It worked! Obviously. Then I started installing mods one by one again, maybe I could find out which one was causing it this time (I updated quite a few mods in the process), and I ended up having all my original mods installed (including ENBoost) and the issue was "resolved". I was so happy that I played quite a bit to account for the hours I wasted trying to figure this out. That is, until I started playing today, and the problem appeared again. I tried googling and searching to see if there were similar issues, but I didn't even know what to call this issue in the first place, so I lurked around but found nothing, and here I am. A few details about the problem: 1- Only happens in dungeons and some interiors. It doesn't happen in shops or most buildings. 2- Does not happen in Third Person view. 3- It isn't static. If I change from FP to TP and back again, the image that will be "ghosted" will be directly what I was looking at during the transition. Link to an album with examples (I recommend you zoom in, Imgur makes images way darker than what they are) My LOOT load order Specs: CPU: AMD A10 5800k @ 4.4GHz GPU: AMD MSI R9 380 Gaming 4G RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 2x4GB 1866 MHz Storage: Samsung SSD 850 Evo 250GB (game is installed here) OS: W10 Pro x64 Anniversary I am seriously losing my mind over this! Thank you for any assistance! And I apologize if something like this has been posted before. Like I said, I have no clue how to even identify this issue, and most of what I could find was about Enhanced Camera screwing with the sensitivity for FP view.
  4. It is located northwest of Bunker Hill. Well, it is to be expected. The CK hasn't been released yet so most mods are somewhat buggy. The only reason I installed concealed armor was for this specific playthrough so I can have no visible armor and retain vanilla clothing appearance, particularly with Maxson's Battlecoat and the drifter outfit. I will try that mod though, thanks for letting me know! I guessed it was some sort of hardware+software issue. I just have to wait to see if it gets patched in the future. Yesterday I played for a few hours before it happened. It is seriously annoying having to restart the game to fix this. That may change soon. Considering I'm very careful not to ruin my game's installation and stability. When the CK gets released and proper mods start pouring out, then well see! Also, most mods that are getting released don't interest me. I just use mods that improve the gameplay and help me get immersed. bethesda is notorious for quick save corruption never use them in any game Unfortunately quick save is a must for me. As much as I would like a better option for saving my game quickly, there is yet one to be seen. If there were a timed auto-save option that replaces, or worked in conjunction with the other auto-save options I would gladly use that.
  5. Thank you for your suggestion! I went ahead and tried this. The end results are the same: the PC crashes. It seems this crash at BADTFL Offices is one of those bugged areas that hasn't been fixed by Bethesda yet. I went to Monsignor Plaza and played smoothly without any crashing, before the patches it also crashed there. One thing I did notice though, the crashes happened much sooner if I entered the offices in Power Armor. As soon as it loaded, I walked through the first door and I crashed almost every single time. Without PA, I could explore for a few minutes before crashing. I managed to complete the quest by quick-saving a bunch, as soon as I got the kidnapped NPC out of the area, it was smooth sailing from there. I do fear having to return there for one of the companion's special side quests. Perhaps I'll delay doing said quest until it is patched.
  6. AMD seems to have received the worst with this game. Most of the problems and crashing I have seen with this game are on AMD platforms. In my case, I've had a few issues of "Fallout4.exe has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware.", but a quick reboot of the game and it works fine. In the other cases, which only happened when using Crimson, instead of the usual "Graphics driver has stopped responding and has recovered.", my entire PC just locks up. Thanks for the suggestion, I will include the mod list as well in the main post. I do not think they are. I updated to both the latest stable and beta drivers for testing, and while performance surely was better, I returned to having the frequent PC crashes thanks to Crimson. I reverted to Catalyst for now, until this issue gets sorted, since it seems its quite common, especially with the R9 285/380 GPUs. I cannot, sadly. I'm the only person who has a gaming capable PC, let alone a GPU for a five-mile radius approximately. Most people where I live prefer the consoles, and their PCs are laptops most of the time, or very outdated PCs. I am running Windows 10, fully updated. I was willing to revert to Win7, but I just have too much data and programs to perform a clean install. Mostly, I don't want to spend another 3+ weeks re-downloading all my games from Steam (5mb connection FTW!)
  7. Hello everyone! I made this topic because I need some assistance with a few issues I have in the game. Any and all help is appreciated! My system is as follows, in case anyone needs any of this information: CPU: AMD A10 5800k, overclocked to 4.6GHz stableGPU: MSI R9 380 Gaming 4GB, overclocked 1100MHz core, 1600 memory clock, +20 Power limit, stablePSU: Silverstone Strider Plus 600W Fully Modular 80plus Bronze, ST60FRAM: 8GB Kingston Hyper X Fury Black 1866MHz 2x4GBMobo: MSI FM2-A75MA-E35Storage: Samsung SSD 850 Evo 250gb, 1TB WD Blue (3.5"), 250GB WD Blue (2.5")Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo First thing is first, let me list all the things I have done in order to try and resolve these issues: Reinstalled the game.Made sure DirectX and all other dependencies are properly updated (though Win10 and Steam make sure of this already).Disabled all over-clocks, and even under-clocked the GPU a bit.Made sure all drivers are updated, although I reverted to the pre-Crimson drivers since Crimson, for some reason, kept crashing my PC when playing Fallout 4 (and only F4). This got rid of random crashing and has kept my system very stable. And yes, I tried the latest hotfix from AMD, and as soon as I installed it, the random crashes returned.Disabled all mods. .INI changes included.Made sure my CPU and GPU weren't overheating. (Both never get over 60 degrees Celsius on full load)De-fragmented all my hard drives, even though the game is installed on the SSD.I've enabled beta updates for this game, and I believe the latest one is 1.3.47. I have also tried disabling beta updates, but the issues still persist. *EDIT* As suggested, I have added my mod list in its load order. Although mods don't seem to affect any of these issues. They happen with a clean install of the game or not. Sometimes, textures look weird. They lose color, take on a random color, (mostly blue), have this weird pixelated effect and, interestingly enough, morph some other textures into them. I include some screenshots of this here. (I removed the possibility of the GPU being faulty since it only happens with this game.) Restarting the game fixes this, but I have encountered a few times it does not. Both the institute rifle and pistol have no sound when firing them. The institute rifle is especially frustrating since I cannot aim it at all either. I end up with the butt of the rifle right in the middle of the screen, blocking most of the view. Random crashes in specific areas. Most notably it used to happen on Monsignor Plaza, but one of the patches fixed this area I believe, though I haven't been back to check on it. Now I'm crashing on the BADTFL Offices, on the interior. These aren't just the game crashing to desktop, it crashes my computer, completely locking it up. It only happens in these areas, as far as I know. Again, any and all help is appreciated! These are the main issues that prevent me from fully enjoying the game. I love this Fallout 4, and I know Bethesda is doing their best to fix a lot of things, but they need to release the G.E.C.K. (or CK) soon so we can have other people look into these issues. It shouldn't be this way, but having more people looking into bugs and glitches as well as them is much better.
