IS THIS (POSSIBLY) THE ANSWER? I have been plagued by constant CTD between Riverwood and the Standing Stones (especially near the wolf spawn point) but yesterday it STOPPED! But why…? I use Realistic Water Two (RWT). I noticed yesterday I was using non-ENB Ultra textures for the mod rather than the ENB Parallax texture pack. As I run ENB (RealVision Performance), I decided to DL the ENB texture pack (still Ultra quality) and activate that instead. ALSO – I noticed RWT author says on his page there is a compatibility patch for Realistic Needs and Diseases (RND) which I also run. I went to the RND page to get the patch but could only find a patch for Pure Waters – which I didn’t DL. HOWEVER, the RND page did have a patch for Unique Booze Bottles – another mod I run. So I DL’ed this patch. Booted up the game, fast travelled to the Stones to look at the new water textures (beautiful) and decided to walk to Riverwood, knowing there was a 100% chance of CTD. But it never happened! Tested multiple times, multiple wolf spawns, even a dragon attack – no CTD whatsoever. I am so overjoyed this CTD has stopped, I didn’t test whether the RWT texture pack or the RND / Unique Booze Bottles patch stopped it from happening – happy just to leave well alone. Conclusions? Is your water texture pack (RW2 or otherwise) the correct pack for your set-up? Is it ENB friendly? Do you run RND and if so, do you have a patch for your water textures? Do you run Unique Booze Bottles and if so, are you running the patches required to work with other mods, including RND? Have you recently checked all your mods to make sure you have any patches they might require? I hope this helps people out there. I’d tried everything (including BOSS) to overcome the Riverwood/Stones CTD and had more or less given up hope that it could be solved. Believe me when I say there IS hope. Merry Christmas!
