  1. Never mind. I just had to delete the games ini files and allow the launcher to recreate the ini.
  2. I think these mod files that I tried to install sometime in the past are to blame. Now the only BIK files the game will read have to be labeled "ORMainMenu" or "ORGameStudios". The same goes for the menu music. It has to be labeled "ORMainMenu" as well. Does anyone no how to undo this, and reset the files to read on the original file names?
  3. So, I've been having problems with the main menu in Oblivion. Nothing I do seems to fix the issue. I've tried opening the BIK files in the "Video" file with different software, but to no avail. I have since disabled "open with windows media player" for the files in the screenshot, as it didn't help at all, and the files don't open with anything anymore. Just as it was by default. I still don't have any start up video for the launching of the game, and the main menu is just a blank background with no music. Everything else in the game seems to be working normally, just not any of the files shown here. Anyone who could help me out would be extremely appreciated. Also I've tried reinstalling the game multiple times, and that doesn't seem to work at all. I've even downloaded menu replacement mods, and tried a different intro music mod through vortex, but none of that has worked. I even looked in the "Music" files to see if vortex had in fact replaced the main menu music with the mod, and the file checks out; however, it doesn't work in game...
  4. You're a life saver! That was exactly what I needed to do.
  5. I just tried a factory reset while still keeping personal files. This did not work and neither did reinstalling Steam...... Is anyone else having this JavaScript problem?
  6. I keep getting this message every time I want to download a mod with Vortex. A JavaScript error occurred in the main process Uncaught Exception: Error: The specified module could not be found. \\?\C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar.unpacked\node_modules\winapi-bindings\buil...\winapi.node at process.func [as dlopen] (electron/js2c/asar_bundle.js:5:1812) at Object.Module._extentions..node (internal\modules\cjs\loader.js:1203:18) at Object.func [as .node] (electron/js2c/asar_bundle.js:5:2039) at Module.load (internal/modules/cjs/loader.js:992:32) at Module._load (internal/modules/cjs/loader.js:885:14) at function.f._load (electron/js2c/asar_bundle.js:5:12738) at function._load (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\main.js:3241:179) at module.require (internal/modules/cjs/loader.js:1032:19) at require (internal/modules/cjs/helpers.js:72:18) at Object.<anonymous> (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\winapi-bindings\index.js:6:16) Does anyone know how to fix it? I've tried downloading on Chrome and FireFox. I've tried reinstalling Vortex. I've tried reinstalling my games. I've tried reinstalling the browser. I've tried following the instructions in this video Aaaaand that's about it so far. I've thought about reinstalling Steam, but have not attempted it yet... If that doesn't work, then I guess I'll have to do a factory reset on my entire system.
  7. How do I completely overhaul all the loading screens with my own? Including Main menu of course.
  8. It seems like the specific nifscripts are not available anymore...
  9. Oh sorry, I wasn't thinking anyone was ignoring me at all. I was just kind of typing about the subject as I was messing around with it and I just ended up writing a bunch of different messages, sometimes I end up just writing my inner thoughts. I definitely understand it may take about a day for a response. Thank you for the info! I'll write again if I run into any problems and I'll try to keep it all in fewer messages...
  10. I also can't seem to find "nifskope-1.0.22-windows.exe", It's just 7zip.
  11. I did find a page saying the scripts had been updated for PyFFI 2.1.5 but the new scripts are 2.5.9 and they require PyFFI 2.1.11 which confuses me a little
  12. http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/Blender All I can find is niff scripts 2.5.9 not 2.5.5 Which I could download all of the required stuff for that but that's not what the blender installation page is telling me. But at the same time it's not telling me what version of nifscope I need to download.
  13. Cause if so It's no big deal I can just reinstall the right versions...
  14. Am I right to assume I should've installed the older files this page was suggesting? I kind of just thought that the page might've been outdated at first...
