  1. I think these mod files that I tried to install sometime in the past are to blame. Now the only BIK files the game will read have to be labeled "ORMainMenu" or "ORGameStudios". The same goes for the menu music. It has to be labeled "ORMainMenu" as well. Does anyone no how to undo this, and reset the files to read on the original file names?

  2. So, I've been having problems with the main menu in Oblivion. Nothing I do seems to fix the issue. I've tried opening the BIK files in the "Video" file with different software, but to no avail. I have since disabled "open with windows media player" for the files in the screenshot, as it didn't help at all, and the files don't open with anything anymore. Just as it was by default. I still don't have any start up video for the launching of the game, and the main menu is just a blank background with no music. Everything else in the game seems to be working normally, just not any of the files shown here. Anyone who could help me out would be extremely appreciated. Also I've tried reinstalling the game multiple times, and that doesn't seem to work at all. I've even downloaded menu replacement mods, and tried a different intro music mod through vortex, but none of that has worked. I even looked in the "Music" files to see if vortex had in fact replaced the main menu music with the mod, and the file checks out; however, it doesn't work in game...

  3. I keep getting this message every time I want to download a mod with Vortex.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

I've tried downloading on Chrome and FireFox.

    I've tried reinstalling Vortex.

    I've tried reinstalling my games.

    I've tried reinstalling the browser.

I've tried following the instructions in this video

Aaaaand that's about it so far.

I've thought about reinstalling Steam, but have not attempted it yet... If that doesn't work, then I guess I'll have to do a factory reset on my entire system.

  4. Oh sorry, I wasn't thinking anyone was ignoring me at all. I was just kind of typing about the subject as I was messing around with it and I just ended up writing a bunch of different messages, sometimes I end up just writing my inner thoughts. I definitely understand it may take about a day for a response. Thank you for the info! I'll write again if I run into any problems and I'll try to keep it all in fewer messages...

  5. having troubles with this part too..

    E - X - T - R - A - S

Install YafaRay - This is an additional render program for use with Blender. Source: YafRay.org

    1. Run YafaRay-0.1.1.exe
    2. Installer Language - Click OK to accept default of English
    3. Welcome - Click Next
    4. License Agreement - Select "I accept the terms of the license agreement" and click Next
    5. Select Destination Location - Change from "C:\Program Files\YafaRay" to "C:\Apps\YafaRay" and click Next
    6. Installation Complete - Click Next
    7. Setup Complete - Click Finish

All I can really find is a 7zip file no "YafaRay-0.1.1.exe"

  6. I did however find the right head mesh via Fallout Mod Manager though, In the BSA browser of "Fallout - Meshes"

The problem with this is when I try to extract the files it takes me to a folder called GeMM, but it will not let me save them.... It says that I "don't have permission to save in this location."

So that's really just where I get stuck...

Should I just save them somewhere else?
