  1. It doesn't happen with older saves, though unfortunately my only save without it is about 15 hours back so I can't roll back, only noticed it when I leveled up. I haven't tried a new game but assume it'd revert to normal.
  2. Pretty please? Any ideas welcome.
  3. So, I can't pinpoint when exactly this happened, but all of my skills went down 15 points in the constellation. I don't think the skills are really reduced, since when I zoom in on the skill I can see the real number and can choose the same perks that I could previously. It seems to just be a problem with the way the skills show up on that screen, but it's very annoying. Here's what I tried doing - Waiting 24 hours ingame. Sleeping. Reloading. Unequipping everything. Curing all diseases. Raising a skill via a trainer - the skill is raised but still shows up as 15pts lower than the real number. Beast Form. I only have 2 mods that alter any skill trees and they are Smithing Perks Overhaul and Empowered Magic, no SkyRe or anything.
  4. Sorry to bump this but I'd love to know if there's a solution to this other than coloring all of my map markers, which I'm not interested in doing.
  5. My bad, I guess I forgot shift wasn't the default Sprint key. I remapped it. But the point stands. I have no idea what software you're even talking about, so I guess that's a no.
  6. Okay guys, i'm at a loss over this. For whatever reason, it's impossible to sprint using my Xbox360 controller on the PC. I've tried remapping the keys, but nothing seems to work. It just doesn't seem to register when I hit the sprint button. Going back to keyboard and mouse I could sprint perfectly fine with the SHIFT key so it's clearly a controller issue. Very rarely, If i mash the LB (sprint button) endlessly, it will finally register. Sometimes I get a glimpse of the sprinting animation. Please, any ideas?
  7. I've never had a need for it since I use quicksave, but I don't see how keeping hundreds (yes, that is how often I quicksave) of unique saves would have helped me much in this case, given the fact that from the moment you install SoS Civilization there's a good 20 to 30 hours of play before you realize your save is corrupted. So I would have lost that instead of the full 60 hours but it would damage continuity and put me off so much that I would restart anyway.
  8. kingdark, the issue isn't with a specific save file, SoS essentially corrupts the entire save. I'm not sure exactly what's going on but it seems to leave some scripts lying around that are overloading everything. Even if you save to a new slot (and thus create a new file) and delete all the previous saves of the same character, that stuff is still in your game and the damage is already done. I just lost a 60 hour save with a character I really liked, but that's life for you and when you install mods that's the risk you're taking because at the end of the day those mods are written by people like yourself and not a professional programmer. Just thinking of starting over is giving me chills, I've done that so many times I can actually see myself dropping dead of boredom as I complete Lucan Valerius' lines like a machine, seeing as how I've heart it 20 times before. But what can you do.
  9. No magic duel. And I already uninstalled all SoS mods. The main question right now is, can I salvage my save? I've put almost 60 hours into it and have already started way too many new games in Skyrim, I just can't fathom starting over again. Is there no way to de-bloat a savegame?
  10. Hey there. Today, I've somehow managed to create a new technical problem in Skyrim. I loaded up my save, ran around in Windhelm a bit and I had started to get these short, 2-3 second long freezes, that would happen every 30 to 60 seconds or so. Then I've noticed saving my game takes a lot longer than usual, both quicksaving and manual saving. I had a hunch and checked my savegame folder, and my saves with that character are weighing up at about 35MB. I have a savegame with a much higher level character, with much more hours put into, that is just 11MB. I loaded up that save and everything works fine with that. I don't get any freezes and my quicksaves are actually quick, so obviously I narrowed down the problem to save game bloating. Now my question is how to figure out what mod is causing the bloating (it's likely a mod), and is there a way for me to salvage this character? I have SoS Dungeons and The Wilds, I'm aware that the author's been warning people of savegame bloating with those but I've had them for ages with no problem. Even if they are the source though, how can I salvage my save? Thanks.
  11. Hey, I have a big problem with dialogues in the game that has only started recently. It's very simple, some of the lines simply don't play, as in, I can read the text, but the NPC simply does not speak. There is no lip movement so it leads me to believe this is not a sound related issue but a scripting one, whereas a script simply doesn't play. It only happens to some of the lines, not all. I'd say about 40% of NPC lines don't play, and it seems random. I can't really think of anything that could be the cause to this, the only sound mods I'm using are Sounds of Skyrim and Nordic Ambient Music, both of which I've used for a long time with no issues. If anything, the most recent change I've made to my game that could be relevant was updating it to 1.6. Thanks in advance!
