i tried loading an earlier save and it worked fine (so did starting a new game) so i think i mightve just saved at a buggy time. downside is i recently deleted all but my first and most recent save files so i guess im starting over now. thank you for your help.

also i use NMM to install all my mods because i dont trust myself to manually install anything

okay so im still pretty new to modding, i already screwed my game up once and had to do a full reinstall. the second time around i followed all instructions carefully for each mod i installed (i dont have that many). my game was working percectly fine save for a few laggy moments right after fast travelling (although i think thats just my computer), execpt suddenly it got stuck in ISL whenever i tried to load my game again. this is without installing or uninstalling any new mods, so i am very confused as to what caused this. ive tried LOOT, Safety Load, and Crash Fix, but none have helped my problem. when using any one of these or a combination of them, my game just CTD upon hitting "load" or "continue". i am at a loss, and REALLY dont want to do a full reinstallation all over again but i have no idea what went wrong. id appreciate some help :/
