  1. update: resolved, apparently it's the same as html.. for reference: courtesy of this mod here: iequip; https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/27008
  2. would anyone know how to add color to mcm text? -- the example online only shows how to change color palette but not text. cheers,
  3. it's quite possible, see https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Notepad%2B%2B_Setup
  4. Parent directory as in ..\parent directory\output folder Yes, I know what you mean, however my issue of not being able to compile wasn't due to scripts being missing from the game folders.
  5. Update: alright I fixed it somehow by copy and pasting the scripts into the output folder's parent directory. -- if anyone encounters the same issue, I hope this fixes it for you.
  6. I am experiencing an issue where my compiler won't compile anything requiring SKSE dependent scripts. Things such as SetGameSettingFloat or SetNthEffectMagnitude is beyond the capacity of my compiler for some odd reason. I've already copied and pasted the skse scripts folder into both scripts folder (scripts and scripts/source/scripts) of my Skyrim folder. Any other script that does not require SKSE seem to compile fine. I am lost as to what I should do. Assistance is deeply appreciated. Cheers,
  7. a long shot, but wonder if any kind soul would make a mod that gives npcs chance to get tempered/sharpened equipment (which scales with the player's level). which when paired with unleveled loot based mods would help address them all of a sudden start spawning with glass, nordic and daedric. would also help address one of the biggest oversight in the game, why no one besides the player ever have tempered/sharpened equipment.
  8. my workfile so far: https://ufile.io/c2rsitxg (expires 30days from this post) I took a preexisting knapsack and copy their ninode structure into a shield. for testing/learning purposes I am using ysgramor's shield. it works to an extent, the problem though is that while it does appear somewhat near the back, the shape of it is in the shape of the backpack wrapped in the texture of the shield. strangely when peered through nifskope it doesn't show that, it shows the shield near the back. my end goal is to take shields and make them into wearable backpacks so that you can use them with two-handers very confused, help is greatly appreciated, and thank you =) Sean
  9. IIRC, when I was last using a 60 MB/s line, using NMM as the download manager I was able to consistently pull around 27 MB/s. Pretty sure the download speed could be higher if the line wasn't split, but that is what I recalled when I was doing a FO4 mod downloading spree. To illustrate that in clearer terms, with a 30 MB/s line, a 10 GB file can be downloaded within 6 minutes time. As others mentioned though, you're all at the whims of your ISP in the long run so your miles may vary.
  10. Issue resolved. If you have two script folders for whatever reasons, be sure to copy all files (pex included) into it. =)
  11. While attempting to recompile an unaltered .psc from Moonlight Tales SSE I encountered this error. I am unsure what I may be do in order to address and recompile this. Many thanks =)
  12. Now this may sound like a crazy idea but... how about just learn to deal with it?
  13. Okay, so I wanted to address these in a go. The problem with the ad is that you're basically going "It's for-profit, so it has the right to do this." Sure, it does. The entire point of this thread is people going "Maybe you shouldn't.". And sure, I guess I get the point that I don't have to view this as a community site. And I don't think I'd have chosen the choice to go "we're just a business". But hey, you do you. As I've stated, they (Nexusmods) have their right in how they conduct their business in order to keep it all afloat. It's in their own interest, and I hope yours as well, to keep the their company (and site by extension) operational. Nexusmods haven't cut off access to mods so it's quite pitiful for this cry of injustice. And look, if you don't care one way or another about the well being of the site operation then that's fine too-- just don't complain about the changes they make, at the end of the day, it's not you who is footing the bills for all of this. If every site owner followed the sort of mind set you and so many others like you have proposed that being treating business as a charity, then more than likely those sites would go belly up in due time. Please, just stop with the entitlement, it's getting old and fast. Holy extrapolation, Batman! Anyway, this is a great example of my argument (can-should), and I usually duck out when people start strawmanning what I mean, so I'm .. just going to drop it. And that somehow invalidates my point and quite literally the entire underlying problem that has lead to this topic? Oh woe to me, I apologize for that last quip, I just find it tiresome when these sort of post keep cropping up, repeating itself on quite literally every sort of website that function under the misassumption that it's a charity, it gets old and fast.

  15. Nexusmods is a for-profit entity, it's not a charity. They have to pay for their staff, taxes, bills, and scalability and these things do not run cheapily. Money doesn't simply grow on trees. Sadly, if you are a regular user then you're using their platform without giving anything in return to the site. You could argue that you're contributing with mods and goodwill, but at the end of the day that won't and doesn't keep the lights on at night. It's money. And in that respect, they have their own right in how they conduct their business in order to keep it all afloat. Again, I must emphasize money doesn't simply grow on tree. You can argue that you've enabled and perhaps even clicked on the ads, however there's only so much revenue you'll be able to generate as a repeated site visitor (ad-revenue generates most its money from the new visitors and even then, adblock being prevalent as it is, it's pretty little). At the end of the day, this isn't a shaming issue, it's the lack of funding or Nexusmods addressing their budgeting issue.
