Your PSU might be the more restrictive device in your computer in whether you can upgrade to something better so keep that in mind.

Barely 3 hours in and I'm thinking of waiting for the mods
Kabloosh replied to vram1974's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Have you gotten the game yet or are you still spouting garbage? Until you play the game, I don't think you really have any leg to stand on to criticize the game especially if you're just going off what you have heard. The game does come off as much more difficult. I'm getting killed a lot as well. Pick up the perk that allows you to find more ammo. It really does result in you minding more ammo and since I've picked up the perk I haven't been hurting on ammo since. -
How good is that really? I mean you can already fast travel to any location you have discovered already.

Alright so the graphics card can have something to do with it. Thanks! Unfortunately I only have a PCI 2 slot to work with. If you have any suggestions for a good PCI 2 graphics card I'd love to hear it lol. I actually wouldn't mind replacing the one I have now, it's loud af. I would recommend just thinking about building or buying a newer machine if money is of no object to you. If you're restricted on cash from what I've read a 3.0 card will work in a 2.0 slot granted the information I read was back in 2012 when they mention when Ivy Bridge didn't even come out yet. My old PC I recently replaced has an Ivy Bridge CPU. Regardless, a GTX 760 likely would be a solid performance boost for you in all aspects. Again, I really just recommend starting from scratch and building a more modern machine.

I definitely would have liked to have seen some more but what we have is still pretty cool none the less. I've certainly spent quite a bit of time building up sanctuary. One thing I dislike is how many pieces do not mesh well with uneven terrain. A lot of stuff ends up floating or looking awkward in that aspect. That part certainly could be improved upon.

I wouldn't necessarily blame the developer for this. Things like budget, and deadlines play a big role in what gets done and what does not. Things like the textures on a plank is not as important as making sure the mechanics are top notch. Granted attention to detail does lead to making one game stand out over others.

It probably has something to do with your graphics card. That card is what 4 generations behind? Probably in your best interest in replacing that with something from at least the 700 series if not the 900 series if you can help it. Your hard drive can play a role in slow load times as well. For optimal load times lots of ram and an SSD with a monster graphics card and a solid CPU to compliment it all is necessary.

It certainly doesn't look like Witcher 3. This is really the first time I've had a rig good enough to run a brand new game on utlra and I'm not really disappointed. I guess I have just a lower standard in what I find acceptable. People look weird though.... well people always looked weird in Bethesda games.

Why do people hate Fallout 4 so much?
Kabloosh replied to DreadedKat's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
A lot of these negative reviews are coming in after just a few days of the game being out, and these people ended up being turned off and then whining about it because that is what the gaming community is like. These people posting negative reviews are merely jumping to conclusions before really experiencing the entirety of the game. There is the fact that not everyone is going to like a certain game. Your more thorough reviews with actual credibility and depth will come out a week or two after playing the game for awhile and really digesting the content. Thing is I really don't care what others think as long as I'm enjoying it. It has certainly given me an enjoyable experience and I really like the approach Bethesda has taken with the game. The game looks good, it runs great on my PC, and I'm having fun. It has met my expectations and while there are some things I would have liked to have seen I'm sure we will be privy to some interesting mods and DLC in the future though. Skyrim certainly was not perfect either and it had quite a few short comings as well. The beauty of these bethesda games though is the modding community. That definitely added hundreds of hours of free content for Skryim for me. I can't wait to see what people come up with for this series. -
Not really, I've played through the Thieves Guild twice and I suck at stealth in this game, I managed fine with light armour, a bow and a dagger. I avoided killing if I could, but I didn't hesitate to cut a few throats if I had to. I really don't see where you're coming from with this one. As for Guild Armour, yeah that is a bit silly. But then I figure the Thieves armour could just as easily be practical light armour for any adventurer. It doesn't really look like something made specifcally for thievery, I usually either ignore it when guards comment on it, or pretend they're corrupt like so many of them are. I probably should have worded that better. Not saying its impossible to be sneaky, or use light armour or whatever, its just that you get in no trouble when you kill, killing is recommended, killing is easier than sneaking by, ect. In oblivion, killing anyone on the job gets you in trouble with the guild, giving you a reason to be sneaky. The thieves guild in skyrim wasn't built with stealth in mind. Being sneaky shouldn't be in option in the guild. it should be a requirement. Well, I don't see why the guild would care if you kill people as long as it doesn't hurt their profits. That's why they tell you not to kill Gulum-Ei, but don't really mind if you kill Aringoth as long as you get hold of what's in his safe. Goldenglow estate is a good example actually, when I do that, I can sneak past all the guards and if I'm playing a thief who takes pride in slipping in and out unseen that's what I do. On the other hand, if I am playing a thief who only cares about getting the job done, I'll cutting throats untill i reach my objective. The fact that the guild allows both of these approaches is great, not all thieves work in the same way after all. I like to complete all the quest lines and have a highly skilled character in almost every aspect. I just complete them in a particular order. I tend to go to the Dark Brotherhood or do the Civil War first simply because those feel like nice starter questlines. The Companions and completing parts of the main quest chain feels about right too. Winterhold is a close second simply because its a school. You can go there thinking you are a fresh student. Hell it could of been the reason why you were entering Skyrim in the first place just so happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. I like to do the Thieves guild after the Dark Brotherhood simply because the Thieves Guild tends to have more of a moral code on murdering people unlike the Dark Brotherhood. So its like your character is changing a new leaf on how they want to approach things in life. Over time as your character tackles different things you turn into that "jack of all trades". You are after all the Dragonborn and regularly slay dragons. Why not be super strong and highly versatile while you do it? People can play however they feel like though. That is the nice thing about this game. So many options.

Finishing Dawnguard before main quest - possible conflict?
Kabloosh replied to Vulon's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
You need the "dragon" elder scroll from the main quest to finish Dawnguard. -
What do you want in a new DLC? and how many DLC's do you think is
Kabloosh replied to Dweedle's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I would like to see a DLC focus around the whole Thalmor thing. There is so going on there I think seems to get ignored. I also would like to see something Oblivion/Daedra related. Both of these could really add quite a bit of content with some side questing involved in it. They could make an item pack that adds a few special dungeons and maybe some special items/side quests for us to explore. I like the small random questions they have around. I just wished some of the legendary items we found were stronger without having to beef them up with mods. -
Play the PC version? Get the UFO mod. Just pick it up on the Nexus and it has the option to tell your follower you don't like what they are wearing. So when you give them new stuff their starting equipment becomes available for you to take from them. It also comes with other neat goodies such as having multiple followers, being able to teach them spells, and they can ride horses.

does anyone mind dragonborn is delayed because of ps3?
Kabloosh replied to lolozori's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I'm not sure what they are thinking on the whole delaying PC launch. I suppose there is some concept behind that they will make more money this way. I would think the PC version resembled the XBox version a little bit more though. I suppose they know best and we PC players just have to wait. Removing the game from your computer isn't going to do anything. You already bought it and you aren't paying a subscription.
