  1. Stupid as it sounds, have you tried simply reinstalling the mod? Also, could you provide us with your load order/mod list, so that we could see if there are conflicts?
  2. I find it somewhat ridiculous that in vanilla Skyrim, major hold stables have a whooping two horses, and that you can only buy one of them. This becomes a small hindrance when playing with multiple followers, which is common. Having to cross half Skyrim just to get a horse for your follower is time consuming and somewhat ridiculous. I'm thinking about a very, very simple mod - one that makes stables respawn a buyable, saddled horse, maybe a week or two after you purchased it, or perhaps even make the second horse buyable as well. Of course an actual stable expansion would be nice too but that's a much larger mod scope. My modding experience is extremely small, but I wouldn't mind trying my hand at it if someone guided me a little. I'm not sure how complicated that would be.
  3. Yeah, fortunately! I was quite disappointed that my habits of always carrying a silver/magical weapon was useless in Skyrim. Made the monster hunting a little less challenging, since silver swords were practically useless, while they were quite precious in the previous games.
  4. I personally use RaceMenu. It's a little tricky to use sometimes, and you may find yourself spending three hours trying to make that orc's nose look good, but it's still my favorite because it's so simple. Not a lot of body sliders though, you might want to use that other mod, I think it's Enhanced Character Creation? I'm not sure of the name. This one adds more body sliders. Both require SkyUI I believe.
  5. I second this comment and reccomend Convenient Horses. It's really neat, simple and customizable.
  6. Indeed, I feel like in Skyrim the undead don't feel as visceral. I don't exactly miss the slow moaning zombies of Oblivon (they scared the crap out of me to be honest) but draugr don't carry the classical undead vileness imo, and nor do dragon priests. Even the corpses of NPCs you find are usually in perfect condition if not for a few wounds and the ones wrapped in spider cocoons.
  7. I do love me a more realistic Skyrim, and I mostly use realism mods that have no impact on combat (I'm not a fan of hardcore combat, despite the fact that it is more realistic.) Personally, I have to reccomend Realistic Lighting Overhaul + Climates of Tamriel. Together, they really do make a gorgeous pair. You'll want to look at screenshots for both of these to know if they suit you. My computer isn't good enough to handle the more graphically-intensive ENBs, and if you have the same problem, I've found FXAA Injector to be a basic if fitting replacement. Combined with the previously mentioned mods, especially on preset 4, it will make your Skyrim look rough and cold as it should. I am incredibly in love with Audio Overhaul for Skyrim, which i reccomend over Sounds of Skyrim, but that's personal choice, you might want to look at comparison vids for that. Purewaters is also very nice, and gives the bodies of water the dark, cold look at they should have considering the climate. There are comparison videos for all the mods I've mentioned, and of course it's a personal choice!
  8. Open Cities was indeed causing the issue, it's fixed now. Yeah, I'm... I'm pretty impressed too. Most of those mods are very small bugfixes or retextures, but don't worry, it took me a lot of time and a looot of CTDs to get it working - I'm glad it is now!
  9. Seems I'm growing to be a regular on the tech support forums, unfortunately. I've been able to stabilize my game and optimize it after lots and lots of searching around the web and tweaking. However a new problem has arisen, and it's a tricky, annoying one, locational CTDs - all around Whiterun. I can use the road from Riverwood to Whiterun without harm, but if I try continuing north to Dawnstar or west to Falkreath and the Reach, my game crashes. It's like theres a huge radius around Whiterun that I cannot access without crashing my game, and I have no idea what causes it, but I need it fixed, because I happen to travel to Whiterun a lot. I don't know if it affects other places, because I'm unable to travel decently from where I am because of the ctds. SYSTEM SPECS Intel Pentium 4CPU 3.00GHz 3326MB RAM Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 1024MB VRAM (I understand I don't exactly have optimal specs for playing a modded Skyrim, but I don't have the finances to fix that either. Yet.) LOOT log (It's a damn long one, sorry!) I really don't want to have to do a clean reinstall again (it would be the third time!) Thank you all in advance for your help! EDIT : Some testing done, the crashing happens specifically when traveling 1- from whiterun in direction of the watchtower, when the watchtower loads 2-from the watchtower to whiterun, when the city gates load. EDIT2 : Also happens from whiterun to Dawnstar and from Shimmermist Cave to Whiterun. EDIT3 : Disabling Open Cities seems to have stopped the issue... Anyone else had this problem with Open Cities?
  10. LOOT is actually the newest update to BOSS, or so I was told. I've read that BOSS was outdated now since the masterlist isn't getting updated anymore or something. LOOT is just as good, if not better!
  11. Immersive Armors is pretty huge, were you trying to download it with NMM? I suggest manually downloading it, because personally I've never even been able to make NMM install it.
  12. That would be really cool! Especially with portals to the different planes. Perhaps have a look at the monsters from Immersive Monsters, there are some more daedra from other realms in there (winged twilights for example, servants of Azura and her plane Moonshadow I think) I think it should last a certain time, and that the daedra should be hostile, or at least leveled to the player, so that it can be used like an unleash-the-kraken thing. Would love conjuring one of those in the middle of a bandit fort.... hehehe
  13. Of course, cause the files the mod has added rely on the esp to function properly, or so I've understood (I don't make mods, I just install sh!ttons of them.) Installing the mod with NMM should indeed overwrite the manually installed files. The point is that once they have all been overwritten, NMM can make sure to uninstall all of the files, since you may have missed some when uninstalling manually. Always remove both the files and the esp, or keep both - they are reliant on each other.
  14. Try reinstalling the mod via Nexus Mod Manager and uninstalling it in the same way. It's safer than manually deleting file.
  15. Alternate Start's a bit tricky to work with, in my experience. I'm not using it anymore but I believe it was higher in the load order. If you get a CTD it is almost guaranteed to be a mod conflict. Look through your mods, see if anything changes the start of the game or the abandoned prison cell. I do believe the Mod Manager also shows file conflicts, so you'll want to see that.
