  1. The custom install version of Vortex states that auto updates don't currently work and you should set the updates to none in the settings. So how do you actually go about updating this version then? Do you have to uninstall the current version and install the new one?
  2. The latest Loot update wasn't out when I was using it, but yeah, I think manually adjusting priorities is the best way to go if you know what you're doing and comfortable with that. Loot and Vortex both do this just in different ways. I actually prefer Vortex's drag and connect then set priorities method. It's one of the things I think the Vortex people really set up well and seems to be pretty stable even in the alpha. Obviously Loot uses the older edit metadata submenus which can get a little cumbersome if you're dealing with many mods.
  3. I have no dependencies or custom rules set up in Vortex or Loot. The plugins are sorted differently through Vortex and the externally run Loot. When I apply the changes in Loot, the next time I run Vortex it sorts them back to it's original sorting order and I have to run Loot again and resort. It's basically a never ending loop. Yes if two plugins have no conflicts their load order doesn't matter but that's only in relation to the two specific plugins. Their load order matters to the other plugins that are loaded. For example, Vortex always puts Smimm SE about 3/4 of the way down my load order. Loot puts it almost at the top of the ESP's right behind the Unofficial Patch. This is where it's supposed to be. Where Vortex puts it it affects files in immersive armours, realistic waters etc. Anyway I uninstalled all the Vortex mods and uninstalled it and went back to NMM which seems to work a lot better with Loot and SSE Edit. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
  4. So when you install mods with Vortex it automatically sorts the plugins according to it's own code. When i run loot and update the load order according to loot (which I trust more than Vortex) it suggests a different load order and I apply it. The problem is after shutting down Loot and Vortex, the next time Vortex is run, it reapplies it's load order ignoring the changes I previously made in Loot. If I run Loot again I have to reapply it's load order. Am I doing something wrong? Is there an option in Vortex to retain Loot's load order that I'm missing?
