  1. Hi.

     

     

    After finally succeeding in making a merged patch (It took me a lot of time to understand the process and was also very frustrating), now I face a new problema. I made a merged patch for MTindle weapon mods and that worked as expected. Now with AnsaarTGB weapon mods I got this. 3 plugins are marked as masters, how do I remove them?

     

    Messing around with the software I found that if you right-click on the plugin in the second panel (View) you get an "Edit" option. But just to be sure I want a community confirmation.

    I'm not sure how to start this topic. I will simply say that I don't know anything about modding (on the modder side, not the user side). I know some basic things like load order, what's a master and what's an esp, a merged patch but I want to start making my own mods. I will not say my idea, just because I want to do it myself and not ask around for people who know what they are doing in this matter. I will just say that I want to add a vanilla effect to a vanilla furniture with vanilla animations. Nothing crazy, just a little tweak. I have been messing around with the GECK already, trying to understand it and get to know it. Sadly, most video tutorials on Youtube are about making weapons or armors or quests or things like vaults and player homes. Also sad, the Bethesda Wiki Guides are about creating a Vault.

     

    Is there any guide, tutorial, video, material, document, etc to somewhat closer to what I want?

    A long time ago I ask for this mod to be made and NorthHare took the job. I don't know if he is active anymore but now I need someone to make a patch for iNeed. I don't know crap about the CK or similar programs and honestly the whole modding thing scares me a lot xD. I hope someone will do this. Basically, I need the items to do not give health, magicka or stamina regeneration and to be recognized by iNeed as food that will satisfy my needs.

  4. From everything I have read, FNV goes wonky if you have more than 139 plugins-which you have discovered. Perhaps you could merge some plugins to reduce the number. The crap packs alone take up 4 (I wonder why anyone bothers with them).

     

    Thank you for replying and for confirming my theories. Finally. I guess I'll go with NVEC as it contains many mods in one file, and hopefully I'll reduce the plugins down to 139 or less. Again, thank you.

  5. Hello, I have this problem that has no apparent reason or solution. I have 156 mods with 167 plugins. I use NMM and I sort my load order with LOOT, also to mention that LOOT didn't give any error warnings. Everytime I ask the plugin limit everybody just responds with a generic "255" which from what I've been experimenting, that just a theoretical number, the max I was able to get was 139, one more esp and game just crashes. I was hoping that would not happened this time but I guess I was wrong. I don't have NVEC just because I wanted to do a quick modding, but if that's the answer I will just begin to uninstall everything and start over.

  7. By default, Windows hides this folder. (AppData), so you first need to go to the Appearance and Personalization Option, then to the Folder Options Or File Explorer Options in Control Panel (depending on your version of Windows) and check the option Show hidden folders and drives. Then you'll see AppData.

     

    Hope this helps someone.

     

    Or you can do WIndows Key + R and write appdata and then find the directory.

  8. NMM will not recognise that Fallout 4 is on my system

     

    I've tried reinstalling NMM on different drives (C, G and F) and it always picks up Skyrim (on G) and Fallout 3 (on F) but not Fallout 4 (also on F).

     

    Anyone else having the same problem or am I just being dim? Any ideas? (more to do with a solution, rather than my dimness)

    Fallout 4 will be supported when, 1) An announcement about it will be made; and 2) You see a download NMM link in FO4 page as in the rest of the pages.

  9. I just wanted to install some retextures of the Pip-Boy, Eyes, Dogmeat skin and a Font mod. I made all the changes to all required .ini files according to each read me file within each mod. I got the correct paths but in-game nothing has changed. Just feeling like I should wait for Mod Manager support. Also, there was some inconsistency with installation instructions. Some mods were asking me to edit .ini files with incorrect folder paths. I seem to have 2 differents Fallout4Prefs.ini, one being in Documents/My Games/Fallout4 and the other inside the installation folder of the game.

     

    Also, I watched a tutorial video made by AlChestBreach about the B.A.E utility. I think it was oriented to mod authors but made wonder. Shouldn't I have to unpack the textures I'm supposed to replace?

  10. The launcher doesn't support mods yet, so you'll have to to do that manually.

     

    Hit windows+R, paste the following line and enter:

    %LocalAppData%\Fallout4\plugins.txt

     

    In there, enter the filenames of your mods to the end of the list and save it (some say you also have to writeprotect that file afterwards).

     

    That would be the names of the .esp right?

    As more mods popup in the Nexus and most of them being retextures, I wanted to install some of these, like an eye replacer or a dogmeat replacer. Now, most instructions told me to find this line in the .INI file but I don't have it. Can I just add it? This is the line I can't get: sResourceDataDirsFinal. I searched even the other .INI and there is even less options. And I already played the game a little bit. Am I missing something here?

    I have this problem. I noticed this "blackness" only in snow areas (at the time of the picture I was getting near Windhelm). I don't know what is causing it. Perhaps the snow texture is messed up? Because it looks more like a shadow. I tried some mods in the recent weeks, I tried Tamrield Reloaded HD, Skyrim 2K HD, Real Clouds but I ended up uninstalling them. Perhaps that process mess my game?

  13. Hi. Going quick.

     

    I installed FO3 GOTY Edition, Darnified UI Alpha 11 and 11a Hotfix. I have some mods that alter HUD xml file but I decided to not override files to see if that fixes it. I have everything in order to make it work, worked before (I have a txt files with all the mods I use, depending on the game, FO3, NV or Skyrim). I made all the changes required for Darnified UI to work and yet, ingame some stuff is properly set but other is not.

    I want to share this idea, someone might get it done. In both FO3 and NV you can loot this cute little toy trucks and I thought they may be converted into some sort of explosive device and (in my wildest dreams) to be a R.C. Explosive. So, anyone that may be interested? Also, if you considered it, perhaps Nuka Beer Trucks as well.

  15. Hi, I hope someone can help me. I'm going insane trying to get this to work properly.

     

    Let's start with Millenia's Weapon Retexture Project (and standalone texture replacer for Combat Shotgun and Chinese Pistol). Is there anyway to make it work in first person mode? If I throw the weapon to the floor I can see the replacer but when I'm holding it is just vanilla textures.

    I have ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated, I checked if the bsa was there. I tried disable it and enable it again. I don't see the point on using a retexture if is not going to be visible in first person mode.

     

     

    And second on the list is FO3 Re-Animated. Again, I have everything that is required to use this and yet, it doesn't work in-game. I have both the main file and the update. For reference on how it's supposed to look there is a Gopher's video about it's installation.

     

    In this pic, you can see that is vanilla animation for pistol drawn. In Gopher's video the character is handling it with the barrel aiming up.
