I have a "magical crystal fragment" stuck in my inventory from a Falskaar quest. After completing the quest 3 of the 4 were removed but the last one is still stuck and since it's a mod added item I don't know the item ID to use player.removeitem on it. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of it? Minor issue I know but it bothers me.

A small guide to play as Khaleesi (AKA Daenerys Targaryen)
Kayyyleb replied to Pandorita's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Well I know you can use the console to add the Dark Elf 50% fire resistance without needing any mods at all. Then it would stack with the Breton 25% magic resistance to make her very tolerant but not entirely immune to fire off the get go.- 20 replies

So the 1.9 update was supposed to allow us to reset skills back to level 15 and start over leveling them again but it's not working for me at all. I go to a skill (say one-handed) that I have at 100 and it gives me the "press space for legendary" text where the perk point total normally appears. But when I press space all it does is zoom in on the perk tree to assign points. Why? What am I doing wrong here? My game is completely up to date and I don't have an UI altering mods like SkyRe installed that might cause conflicts.

Most people will max out all the skills they use by level 40-50. Getting past that requires using skills that aren't in your playstyle.

You know that the opposing argument is going to be "that's because the Septim family was a divinely blessed lineage" right? And that now that the dynasty has changed that the rules no longer apply. That argument would be wrong then. The Septims were not given any special abilities above normal people. The only blessing they received was that Oblivion would be separated from Tamriel as long as their line was in control of the Empire. How long they remained in power was up to them.

That person was me. You would be correct in a situation on an open battlefield but the context of my post referred to a choke point like mountain ranges which was the hot topic at the time. Significantly less oil is needed to cover a choke point in fire than an entire battlefield. Also, the whole point of the oil is because I realize destruction magic is dependent on the users' magicka but oil is not. The magic is only needed to start the fire, and even at that you could easily shoot a few burning arrows for the same effect. The point of the oil is not to engulf the entire field but to simply catch clothing on fire or roast troops inside their steel armor. I'm also quite convinced the weakness of fire ingame is purely gameplay balance. Destruction magic in realistic applications would be extremely overpowered. Chained lignting for example could electrocute entire formations of tightly grouped troops in steel armor.

So you judged the entire Empire on the poor decision of one nameless legate?

That's a bit like saying, if the government outlaws drugs, it's merely a suggestion you don't sell, buy or use them privately. The treaty with the Thalmor makes worship of Talos illegal for everyone. The law was just very poorly enforced until the Thalmor rapped the Empire's knuckles about it. The people who still worship Talos, do so illegally, meaning they are breaking the law by following their believe. For someone who usually tries to be a good citizen that isn't exactly a comfortable situation, just as having to lie about your believes isn't. It's not an ideal situation but the point he's making is that Ulfric (probably motivated by the Thalmor) created a situation which gave the Thalmor the excuse they needed to actively hunt Talos worshippers. Ulfric created a problem then presented the "cure" to gain support for his attempt at the throne. He blew the problem out of proportion and as a result Talos worship went from being illegal on paper to being illegal in practice. It's like when a country brags about violating a UN sanction. They get pressured back into their place. That's exactly what the Thalmor are doing since Ulfric decided to recklessly flaunt defiance of the treaty agreements forcing the Empire to allow the Thalmor a presence to verify that the Empire is keeping with it's deal. Ulfric's complete lack of understanding or complete disregard for politics is not a good trait for a leader who will need to deal with other countries.

New to the thread but has anyone told you that you sound almost identical to TotalBiscuit it's almost unreal? TB is a rather popular gaming personality who's recently become a Starcraft 2 caster. http://www.youtube.com/user/TotalBiscuit -
Classless society is unfortunately essentially impossible at least in any permanent state. There will always be those with more power, money, resources and influence than others and they will find ways to create an oligarchy. In the case of TES, a democratic government (the one most favoring the bourgeoisie) just isn't going to happen so we're stuck with trying to get the most benevolent form of oligarchy we can. I am convinced that the Empire is this oligarchy because based on it's history the Empire has generally been a decent system despite it's many flaws. For centuries the majority of Tamriel was content under Imperial rule. The two new factions are very polarized and despite the extreme hate between them are nearly identical in many ways. Both favor a single demographic (Altmer/Nords), both are highly intolerant of opposing viewpoints and both are led by power hungry dictatorial systems. This is why I consider the Empire to be the lesser of the three evils.

I did not know this. I thought Ulfric was always tagged essential except at the end of the Legion questline?
-
That is an incredibly naive and idealistic view but not a realistic one.

Oh boy, this post just reeks of arrogance and dishonesty. Racism is the dislike of others based purely on racial stereotypes, so yes they are racist according to the very description you just gave. Imperials are religious fanatics? Are you kidding me? The Stormcloaks are far more fanatical. They are the ones starting a war over their religion in the first place, remember? The Empire isn't driving a holocaust against Talos worshippers, the Thalmor are. You don't see Imperial soldiers marching people off to be tortured, that's the Thalmor. So just because you call the guy Ulfric killed "weak" suddenly he's not a murderer? Ulfric's mentality for Skyrim is his way or the highway. That's precisely what a dictator is. The battle he fought was neither far nor a just cause. It was an easy means for Ulfric to get Ulfric more power. Ulfric is racist, you're the only Stormcloak supporter with the audacity to pretend otherwise because it's pretty blatantly obvious. If the elves in HIS OWN CITY live poorly then damn right it's his fault, he's the jarl and the well-being of the people in his city is his responsibility. It is his fault the Argonians aren't allowed in the city, that's a government policy and Ulfric IS the government. If everyone who stands for "Skyrim" (which actually just means is one of Ulfric's goons) can be a Stormcloak, why is there virtually no non-Nords in his army except for the Dragonborn? Oh ALL Imperials are cowards? But ALL Stormcloaks are brave righteous warriors? Give the generaliztion and stereotyping a break please. The Great War was the Imperials fighting for their beliefs. Unfortunately they didn't win. Somehow you're gonna hold that against them? As I've said earlier, freedom is useless to the dead. You basically just brought up all the weakest Stormcloak talking points that your own side doesn't even use because they know better.
-
Well kinda. Arson with radiation.
-
True. In that case, anarchy's the second fastest way to do it.
-
Stormcloaks are closer. No idea why anyone would favor anarchism though.

Is a DLC called Redguard actually confirmed now?
Kayyyleb replied to SpellAndShield's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
That's been around since the game was released. -
This. Ulfric, Galmar and Rikke once in Sovngarde don't exoress much care for the politics and conflicts back in Skyrim any longer. It's unfair to for some reason expect Torygg to and to try and hold that against him. When you're dead your priorities change, a lot of the things in your old life would be irrelevant to you.
-
Everything you just said is wrong on so many levels I can barely bring myself to accept that a human being wrote this post. Ulfric should just kill all the jarls except the ones you like? Systematic assassination is how Ulfric is going to start his reign? If so, he has no right to be king and Skyrim is better off without him. Exterminate the entire families of Black Briar and Silver Blood just because you don't like them? All in the name of a pathetic excuse of doing it for the "good of Skyrim"? Basically you're trying to repeat the French Revolution or a Communist revolution of systematic extermination of all opposition. This doesn't lead you to a better Skyrim. This will lead you into a dictatorship and rule by fear and intimidation. What you propose is disgusting to the extreme. Anyone wanting to compare Stormcloaks to Nazis needs only read this post to have all the ammo in the world.

Where should a desent Nord's allegiance lie?
Kayyyleb replied to iceurface18's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I'm sorry but no. Firstly, the emperor doesn't try to manipulate the DB at all. When you break into his quarters he calmly accepts that he's about to die and there's nothing he can do about it. All he does is make a last request which the assassin is completely free to comply with or ignore. The Thalmor doesn't give a f*ck about it's people. Any non-Altmer is considered to be a lesser being. Even other Altmer who oppose the Thalmor are hunted down and exterminated. Literally none of your arguments stand. -
Rorlund seems the most conspicuous suspect. Rikke makes no sense because she's a legate in the Legion...the only person with easier access to Castle Dour besides her would be Tullius himself.

Nerevar vs Hero of Kvatch vs Dovakhiin
Kayyyleb replied to NightmarePhantom's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Did you take into account the 'Become Ethereral' Shout? or Odahving? He could just summon him to pick him up. Can't shout in mid-air. Usually the ONLY thing people do when falling to their death is scream their lungs out (or at least that's what I'd be doing). So if the Dovahkiin has enough sense about him mid-fall to think of using that shout then yeah...he's good to go.
