  1. Ok I disabled almost every mod and it still does it.. im totally baffled now. Think I will go do the quest in normal armor but im really disappointed I can't fix this because I want to wear the armor full time :( UPDATE: I installed a completely fresh copy of retail oblivion ( I was previously playing on Steam) without any mods at all appart from DLC packs and it crashes when I try to save with the armor on.. So that means the savegame is corrupt I guess?? Is there a way to fix the savegames or am i buggered?
  2. Yea same here.. I have played since 2007 and never had a problem til now with saving. I have some news though about my problem.. I disabled Open Cities and all its patches.. and I put the armor on and repeated the routine - I left Anvil manor and autosaved.. guess what, it didn't crash!!!! I then quicksaved about 4 times to be sure.. still no crash. So I proceeded to do the KOTN quest at the place north of Anvil. Got inside, autosaved - no crash. Cleared the first level.. proceeded to the second and it crashed on entering the second level. The odd thing is, before I disabled OC, the armor made me crash as soon as I left anvil manor or did a quicksave OUTSIDE of any house. Quicksave worked fine inside a house or a building though. The even stranger thing is.. what the heck does OC have to do with the KOTN armor???? And if that WAS the culprit, why did I still crash upon entering the second level of the ruins?? I'm so confused about this... but as you said, Im gunna end up disabling them all sigh... its a shame though because I like the Crusader armor a lot, I wanted to use it as my main set. There is no "nd" armor files inside meshes/Armor or inside any of data sub dir's for that matter, however, there is a bunch of ndfortbulark, ndgarlasmalatar, ndpriorybasement etc files which are all related to KOTN.. not sure what mod they are from yet but I downloaded a mod that fixed KOTN bugs but that was after I started getting this issue. Nothing about the armor though, just places. I'll go and have another experiment until I weed out the bad mod.. but i'd still like to know how open cities has anything to do with the crusader armor..   4. Yes what Shaklee said and also with the Steam version of OBSE you DON'T run the OBSE Loader to start oblivion, you just run oblivion.exe as you normally would and OBSE kicks in simultaneously with Oblivion.
  5. Ok I tried the load order thing and still crashed. I tried equiping every item one by one and then autosaving on a travel.. it crashed on every item except the cuirass. To be sure I quicksaved 10 times and autosaved 5 times on the cuirass and no crash. But the other pieces crashed on the very first autosave while coming out of Anvil Manor. The only difference between the cuirass and the rest of the set I can see is the cuirass does not add any magical effect, but then neither does the shield and it crashed on that too... maybe a coinsidence? I also emptied by inventory appart from quest items and tried wearing the set but it still crashed. I looked for NIFscope and couldn't find it.. I found REFscope... is that the one you meant? I pointed it at all crusader items and all it said was 3 lines of ref ID's that belong to Knights.esp.. I am not sure how I can find the conflict with that? I just deleted knights.bsa and knights.esp and I am gunna wait for Steam to redownload them but I really don't have my hopes up about that.. I think its got to be either a corrupt save from a previous mod or a current mod but im damned if I know what the heck is causing it.. I do have the mod "Lost Paladins of the Divines" http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10505 But I don't think that changes anything to do with KOTN, if anything it would just copy some meshes right?? Im totally stumped now.. is there any utility/mod that can record a crash and tell me what mods caused it? or anything that can trace the conflict.. im getting desperate :( For a very very last resort, is it at all possible to complete the KOTN final quest without using the Crusader Armor?   6. Thanks David, you make some good points and suggestions to try out.. byt what are "free standing meshes"? I am not sure what you meant by that! I will try the load order suggestion and then if that doesnt work I will reinstall KOTN. Cheers!
  7. Its a strange problem I can't figure out.. If I wear the crusader set from KOTN or even have the set in my inventory and try to save it CTD. Sometimes it CTD by just walking around too while wearing/carrying the set. I have no mods that seem to have anything to do with KOTN except maybe the UOP. I can't think of anything else that would touch KOTN. If you want a full mod list, let me know.. but I have a lot. I have been trying to mess around with all kinds of poo for hours in hope to find out whats conflicting with it.. its winding me right up now. SO I hope someone here can help me.. as I don't think its possible to complete KOTN without wearing the set for the last quest right?? I used the "crash prevention system" but that didn't pick up any of the crashes. It picked up a couple while I tried to quicksave but 95% if the time it just didnt notice the crash.   9. Yes, Hirrus' house is unique though and the containers don't respawn. A lot of people use it to store things but I want to transfer ownership to the PC so I can sleep there as well.. I just need the location ID for that house. I think it will be a seperate ID for both down/upstairs. How would I find this ID code out? Is there a ingame command or would I have to use the CS? In case you're wondering, Hirrus Clutumnus house is in the Crucible in Shivering Isles city. Cheers

  11. Just wondering if it is possible to create a mod that puts a note in a books name to say whether you have read it or not yet? I am constantly picking up books in case its a skill book I have missed.. I was thinking it would be great if there was a mod that just put a simple label like "Read" or "Not Read" next to a books name based on what books you have / haven't read yet. Maybe there is already a mod like this?? Cheers!
  12. No no no... I am not using god mode and I can't carry that much... I have just removed it from the box to take a screenshot. But it does this 1-2 stacking thing even with just a few of the same items.. not just when I have hundreds of them. Also my PC is pretty high end so its not that either.. I think shadowfen might have the right idea.. I will see if it changes when I put the items back in a chest or something. As I said, instead of going to vendor after every dungeon or w/e I just throw the loot in my house and then use Mark/Recall mod to teleport to the vendors position then sell it all. It saves a lot of messing around for me.. maybe its cheating a bit but I would rather that then have to take a trip to a vendor every 10 mins hehe. I would rather the items stacked in 10s+ tho cos tbh after 65+ mercantile it takes like 300 sales to get a skill point anyway :/

Well the fence in the pirate cave DLC seems to have unlimited cash.. maybe its part of a mod i have long forgotten about but basically instead of going to the merchant all the time, I save my loot up and then use the mark/recall mod to teleport to the fences location after loading up on loot. Ive had this problem since I started playing in 06/07.. even when my game was unmodded. That was with retail, and now im playing steam.. so not sure whats wrong either :( I have read a couple of posts around the net with others having the same issue, but no word of any fix. Well if anyone else has this problem and knows of a solution, please let me know!! I also posted this in the mod requests section where a member said he used to get this problem too.. Oh and the reason I don't just want to sell one by one is it takes forever lol, I would really like to be able to just sell stacks of 10+.. Cheers!
  14. Thanks for your reply mate! It must be one of the most annoying bugs in the game and they never patched it.. I will try what you suggested but I think equiping them one by one is gunna be just as bad as selling them one by one :( I read on an Xbox forum that someone got things to stack by going to sleep and they stacked properly when it reloaded. But it didn't work for me.. If anyone has any better idea's or links to a fix, I would be very grateful and give kudos.. Cheers!

Been searching for a mod to fix this pain in the behind problem but I can't find a thing about it.. http://i26.tinypic.com/2wcnr7r.jpg As you can see, the items are fully repaired and I have many more than you see on the screenshot but they are ALL stacked in 1s ans 2s. So it makes it a very hard job to sell them all. I have been saving them to sell for ages.. Please tell me theres a way to fix this.. Cheers

  17. Well I agree with the others... you shouldn't let a couple of arse's get you down. The real world has a lot more of them than the internet does and unfortunately we all have to live with them. Those people are winning when you "move on" and not only will they ruin the good times you had here but others will miss you and your work! It is also a bummer for the peeps like me who don't know what mods you have made and might never know because you have removed them. Nobody is gunna search google for individual mods/private mod sites. So your work will be wasted, when it could have been enjoyed by many. So I ask you kindly to reconsider! Same goes for anyone else who thinks that moving away from a site like this is the answer.. because if you all go then the Oblivion mod community will surely die. :( Regards,
  18. Ah SIlly me, I didn't see the part about buying them from shops.. duh.. I have been using OBSE since I first got oblivion retail in like 2006/07.. but I got the steam version recently on a deal.. as it had all the DLC. To run the steam version with OBSE you just have to drop a different OBSE file into the data DIR and run Oblivion normally. Thanks for pointing out the spell locations mate, totally missed that when I first read the readme. So many new mods that weren;t around back in 2006.. its gunna be a lot of fun playing through again :) Gunna try find a retexture mod for terrain/objects. Any suggestions of "essential mods" are very welcome! Kudos given :) Cheers!
  19. Hi mate, Can I pick your brains again for a moment? I installed the new Harvest Flora 3.01 and thats fine, but the Gather Ye Rosebud mod doesn't seem to work. I have installed it normally, ticked the box in OBMM and the spells just don't seem to appear in my book in-game. Am I supposed to purchase the spells first or something? I also converted the mod into a OMOD file and it still didnt work meh.. It could be a problem with Steam, as I also had a problem getting exnems body replacer to work until I found out that it only works with the steam version if you use the OMOD and not the normal install. Any ideas mate, or names of similar mods I could try? Thanks again!
  20. Thanks a lot for that buddy! I didn't know those mods existed.. I can't wait to try it out when I get home from work. It will free up my ring slot too, as with the other mod, the auto harvesting ability was only enabled by wearing a ring. Much appreciated :)

  22. Hi guys, It is nice to see the Oblivion mod community still alive. I am wondering if anyone is capable of tweaking the "Auto Harvest Flora" mod made by WonderDog to work with patch 1.2 / Shivering Isles? At the moment, when I harvest a flower/plant, it leaves behind a big yellow diamond with a grey gravestone shaped thing in the middle. (See attached image) http://i25.tinypic.com/4hco6f.jpg I am sure someone out there is able to fix this, or even just turn off the part of the mod that replaces the plant with a blank plant once harvested.   23. Yeah it does seem a bit of a rip off.. if you really want to make your companions hate you or love you that much you can just use a console command. Yes its cheating but when you think about it so is this DLC. I don't think I will be buying them. I was disappointed to see what they were after getting excited from the "New DLC available" popup :( Thought it would be something cool like a new quest or something!
  24. Hi guys, haven't played DAO for a few months but now the expansion is out im looking to play but since installing it, some of my graphics (espescially in the inventory and character screens) have gone very strange. What do you think could have done this and will I need to reinstall? CHeers!
  25. Just noticed 3 new DLC items pop up, Feastday Gifts, Feastday Pranks and Feastday Combo. What are they and are they worth spending 240 points on? Sounds a bit much for some pointless "fun" items to me when they aren't needed or even useful to game progression because you end up with plenty of gifts anyway.
